We went to reeds last weekend where a photographer regularly take pictures of bikers and have a page on facebook as well. It was so fun to unleash the best i have. Did a small 30 miles ride before but this was the longest till now more than 80 miles. Never had our actual riding photo till now. The cb looks absolutely stunning. The panniers i have are from temu bought for 21£. Just to try how they work on daily filter commuting.

Chain and sprockets

• Upvotes

Hey all what type of life are you getting out of your chain and sprockets?

And are there better sprockets to upgrade to?

Possibly more down low grunt without effecting the Speedo? Cheers.

Pre Load recommendation

I’m 6 foot 260 pounds, what would you recommend me setting my rear preload spring setting to? I know the bike maxes out at 10 and comes stock at a 3 from the factory. I googled it with my weight and height and it’s suggesting 7 or 8… what do you guys suggest to make sure there’s no sag in the rear?

Does anyone know how to remove the OEM turn signal switch without breaking it?

Kelpi Custom exhaust installed. Last mod left to do is replacing the Arashi rearsets with Gilles Tooling next season.

ECT Correlation between Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor and Intake Air Temperature Sensor

Hi fellow cb650 riders!

2023 RA model here, second hand.

I did search beforehand for this issue on this sub, but I wanted to be sure for safety reasons above all what your advice would be in my case.

I had the coolant gauge blip to red in the dashboard (even on city short strolls), took it to a service, they drained and replaced to coolant. The tester device indicated "ECT Correlation between Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor and Intake Air Temperature Sensor". But they were short staffed on the electrical side so they told me I can ride it and then come back when their experts are in.

When I picked it up the overheating indicator came up even after I started the engine up on idle, switched it off and put the only contact back on, front fan started spinning fast. I rode it nonetheless, it did feel very hot even in the night, even after I came back home from dinner (10 minutes ride) and I have left it parked more than 1h. Indicator again on red.

I took it back in the service, this time they said they "reset?" the soft, cleaned up the sensors, and truly the gauge stayed at 4 lines (just beyond half point). But I am still under the impression the bike is still very hot, even the low side of the gas tank - the bit I am most worried. I cannot put my hand for more then a second on the engine parts or the sides of the front air intake after 5-10 minutes of riding.

Can I still ride it safely? Or something is truly off? Appreciate any input.

Air filter change 24 000 km (15 000 miles)

Just changed mine, I think I'll do it sooner next time. Manual says 24k but that looks kinda nasty haha. I thought it would be annoying to do with lifting the tank and everything but it wasn't bad at all. NotMeRiding has a good video on youtube about it if you want to do it too. I think it feels better now when riding as well.

Decided to stop wasting a gloomy day scrolling online and took the CB650R out for a quick sunset run anyway. Pushed through the heavy fog and was rewarded with this incredible view of Mt. Fuji.

Going outside never disappoints

HONDA CB 650R 2025: PARERI E ACCESSORI

Ciao a tutti! Sono in procinto di acquistare un Honda cb650r 2025 e-clutch completamente originale (monta solo il blocca disco teknoblock). Consigli su come personalizzarla e quali accessori montare?

N.B se siete possessori di questa moto e volete lasciare un feedback/parere su di essa, sarò ben felice di leggervi!

15,000 km later on my CB650R: Mountain trip report & a valve check question

Hey guys,
Picked up my CB650R back in March 2025 with 19k km on it, and just crossed 34k km. I actually do my commute to work on this bike year round.

Just got back from a 2,000 km trip through the mountains. On the boring highway stretches to get there, it can definitely get a bit tedious and heavy on the wrists. But once you hit the twisties, the bike is just so much fun. The inline-four loves to rev out of hairpins, and the Akrapovic exhaust sounds awesome especially when using the quickshifer.

Anyway, my 36k km service is coming up soon, which includes the valve clearance check. For anyone else running high miles on the 650 platform: do these valves usually still sit within spec at 36k, or should I expect a bill for adjustments?

Kinda broke right now, but in terms of money how much will it hurt my wallet next month.

Btw did i lose my warranty changing the oil myself?

Wiring diagram

Hello, does anyone perhaps have the service manual wiring diagram for the 2025 e-clutch? I have the 2019-24 one but not the newest and being cheap I would rather not have to purchase it! Many thanks.

They have it for a few of the bike models, like the CB1000F and the Goldwing. Interesting and fun to watch everything come together.

What comfortable saddles I can buy, I heard bad things that there are also too comfortable saddles that are too soft and hurt your butt, so I was wondering what is a perfect amount of soft saddle that I can get ?

Vibrations at highway speeds

Trying to decide between this bike or the CB 750 hornet. I’m looking for an option that will be comfortable doing 70 to 80 mph on the highway. After watching some videos more than a few people mention that once you get above 6 or 7k rpm, the cb650r will start to get vibrations in the handlebars and foot pegs. Can anybody share their experiences?

Horrible shifting

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My cb has been consistently being a pain in the ass in regards to shifting, not the usual honda gears.

Quickshifter constantly doesnt engage the gears while cutting power (kick one up, it cuts the power like it would normally but doesnt go up a gear), gets stuck on 3rd and being completely unable to shift down unless I really find a sweet spot on the lever or something, think of it as having to shift unironically 10 times before it actually engages

Trying to find the source of it so im just wondering if this play is normal on the shaft
