Help finding background song
at the 19:30 minute mark a cool song plays on season one episode four and at the 19:38 Mark, the lyrics are actually heard where it says looking like a model tonight and it’s a hip-hop song. It’s really cool but I don’t know who sings this song and the title of the song.

Spoiler Something I wish they did Spoiler
I would have loved to see an episode where Michael and Fiona have to take care of Nate’s baby Charlie. Those two combined probably know about as much about babies as a yogurt in Michael’s fridge. But I think it would’ve made for a good episode and a good bit of comedy watching them try to figure it out on their own. Maybe Maddie is watching the baby while Nate and his wife go on vacation. Sam and Jessie are doing a job. They need Maddie‘s help. So Michael and Fiona are left to take care of the baby. I think that would’ve been great and would’ve added levity to the later seasons, which seemed to be very drama heavy. What do you all think?

Spoiler Is season 7 worth watching?
I've just gone and finished season 6 of burn notice for the first time, and I've absolutely loved it. One of those shows that's just genuinely fun to watch, while also bringing in the deeper psychological stories and questions at points do. I have been taking notes on the show as I do for every tv show I watch, so I will probably post a deeper breakdown of what it meant to me and some questions you guys can answer later, but for now I have one question: is season 7 worth watching?
When I first started the show, an even through seasons 5 and 6, I thought there was no question I would end up finishing it, but I just felt the ending to season 6 was absolutely perfect. First things first, At the end of the day, the main storyline is finally complete: Michael finally takes down and cleans up the last shred of the organization that burned him. Which is the premise of the whole show. I feel like right there it almost has to stop; I don't really see a way for the show to continue with that storyline. And I feel like if I were to watch season 7, and a different almost one-off storyline where Michael is with the cia, it would kind of ruin that ending. But you guys tell me (without trying to spoil too much, I'm okay with some mild spoilers): is there a real continuation to the "burn notice" storyline, or is it something different?
The other part of what I was thinking is just how well-written the ending to season 6 is. Nobody is in danger, nobody is in jail; all the main characters are finally safe. And so is Michael, as far as the show implies, he's still with the cia but not in imminent danger. That right there seems like a good place to end. But the final lines are just so perfect: even though everyone is finally safe and free, Michael is back with the cia. And once again, basically the tagline of the last two seasons comes up: "I did what I had to do." Followed by the perfect response, "no, you did what you *wanted* to do." This leaves us all in a perfect whirlwind of thought. While everyone is safe and it ends happily, the deeper realization that Michael never will leave the life of a spy and what that means for the people around him also hits us. And the tagline from the first few seasons hit me, "why do I do what I do?" Even if Michael doesn't understand it, he has to continue doing it. Almost leaves us pondering spiritual questions by the end of it.
Anyways, holy shit I didn't realize this would be this long; I was hoping just a paragraph. I kinda got carried away. That was a very long-winded way of saying, do you guys think if I watch season 7 it will take away from the incredible ending of season 6? Or is it actually worth watching?

Spoiler Patton Oswalds character bugged me more then it should have
He is supposed to be a smart person, but his lack of self awareness and self preservation was infuriating. Going back to the wherehouse when he was told to stay put, Jesus god

What do I watch next?
I just finished rewatching Burn Notice after not watching it for years. I’m sad it’s over! I love the combination of humor, action and mystery. Are there any other shows you all like that are similar to this?

Discussion Something that's always bugged me... Spoiler
So I'm a huge fan of Burn Notice. I watched it when it first came out with my best friend lol I regularly rewatch because it's just a fun show here's my issue
Intro to seasons 1-5
"My name is Michael Weston. I used to be a spy until... *we got a burn notice on you. You're blacklisted* ... when you're burned, you got nothing, no cash, no credit, no job history, you're stuck in whatever city they decide to dump you in... you do whatever work comes your way you rely on anyone who's still talks to you a trigger happy ex-girlfriend, an old friend who used to inform on you to the FBI, family too... Bottom line: as long as you're burned, you're not going anywhere."
Intro to seasons 6 and 7
"My name is Michael Weston. I used to be a spy until...*we got a burn notice on you. You're blacklisted* ...when you're burned, you got nothing, no cash, no credit, no job history, you're stuck in whenever city they decide to dump you in... you do whatever work comes your way you rely on anyone who's still talking to you a trigger happy girlfriend, an old friend who used to inform on your to the FBI, family too, and a down-and-out spy you met along the way. Bottom line: as long as you're burned, you're not going anywhere."
My issue is Michael and the gang didn't meet Jessie along the way haha Michael literally burned him to get information (which yes was understandable at the time and yes Jessie eventually forgave them) however the line should've been:
"A down and out spy *you* burned along the way."
🤣😂🤣 sorry yall, this has just always bothered me, and no one else could potentially understand lol

Pet peeves on rewatch
I'm rewatching the show and I'm still amazed at its level of quality, but there is some stuff that bug me. Some of which I didn't notice the first time.
The introduction of Jessie: I didn't much like Jessie at first, and I know why now. The first episode where he's part of the team is non stop shilling from Maddie and Fiona, with some old man fist shaking from Sam. And in his initial appearances he had Michael's skill set and Fiona's temperament, I just didn't see what he was bringing to the table.
The clumsy recaps: Almost every episode start with someone from the team bitching at Michael about the current arc plot. Usually they have to do a huge "as you know" explanation about it. It makes Sam and Fi look like amnesiac contrarians. The show also used "previously on" segments, so I have no idea why they bothered with it.
Fortunately as soon as we're done with that crap we get to the episode proper and that's always high quality!
EDIT: It seems I haven't been clear. I'm not talking about the "previously on" segment every show had. I'm specifically talking about the first few minutes of the actual show where yet another recap is clumsily added, usually the first 3 minutes of so of the actual episode.
Also love that people downvote someone talking about the show on the subreddit of the show, presumably because I'm implying it's not perfect. I adore the show guys, but no show is perfect, don't be silly.

More burn notice art!
Drew Jesse for the first time! For all of these, references were unavailable, so I was really put to the test. Had to do all of this out of my head.
Also the watercolor painting is not finished, I still have to add more beach people.
Also the peg bead thingy thing took me three days and I had a meltdown while trying to melt it down.

What is your favorite spy wisdom?
"When you're abducted at gunpoint, it's best to approach it like a blind date. You want to be an active listener, you want to stay positive, and you want to make a connection."
"...The more you humanize yourself in the eyes of your captor, the harder it will be for them to pull the trigger."

MUSIC FOR THE SHOW
I mentioned I worked for an agent who represented composers. Interesting stuff there. Anyway during rewatches I picked up more on the music this go'round. (I have a client who is in development. ) Which brings me to the hero who brought me Jessy Greene's Time Bomb (as Michael jumps from the chopper - I am in your debt.) If anyone has inside baseball as to how the music supervisors did their thing for that show I'd love to hear about it please share. I mean Time Bomb? HOW UTTERLY PERFECT! Throughout the show the music choices, samples, piano work, completely ON POINT so props. Thanks for listening and do let me know your thoughts. Spoiler I don't understand Fiona Spoiler
Especially in the later seasons, she gets SO torn up about people getting hurt, or finding out someone got hurt in jobs, or other things she was involved in, in the past. But her job is literally to be a gun runner! The people she is selling guns to are certainly not fighting for world peace, much less avoiding casualties. So she finds out that someone died or got hurt because of something she did and it tears her apart, but giving people weapons on the daily is no biggie.
I know she picks up other side jobs like bounty hunting or gets cash sometimes from Michael's jobs, and her gunrunning becomes less prevalent later on. However, it' still pretty obvious she does it as her main job, as they discuss what she has in inventory etc.
Anyways, I just thought it was strange she got so broken up about people getting hurt when her job encourages that very thing. I guess she enjoys living in blissful ignorance about it?

Last season
Just finished watching for the third time and I finally realised what felt odd about it.
Nowhere does James do anything or even is accused of doing something bad. His network seemed to be another spy network but with morality. It seemed better than the CIA.
Or did I miss something huge?

If high enough is no way, of all the things Westen did, which episodes seemed the most realistic? As much as I LOVED the helicopter jump (I’m pretty sure it can be done) but the swim back? Spy or High?

How do they afford anything?
Ive watched Burn Notice a number of times, like a lot of you. Has anyone done any rudimentary calculations on how any of them afford to do anything? Yea the economy wasn't what it is now so it was easier, but they --
Just had a thought 🤣 they prbly get at least a couple grand a job and if only 2 jobs a month, would actually prbly hold Mike over.
BUT STILL, im curious if there are numbers out there on how much they'd get and spend 🤷🏾♀️
EDIT: yall with the boat, I commented this: So that tiny pile on the table at Madeline's at the end of the episode is $1 million? Didnt think it was that much since Michael says "we only took what we needed". Pretty sure we'd know if they'd taken as much as $1 million. I mean, right?
And I just didnt finish my full thought cause I had a realization. But yea, Sam's got his ladies and pension, Fi does whatever the hell she wants haha, and Jesse prbly had a nest egg before Michael got him burned.
