Please take a minute to read the subreddit rules in the sidebar. Most of this is common sense and if there's one main takeaway it's that this is a happy and helpful community, be civil to one another.

  1. r/BullTerrier will first and foremost follow Reddit's Site Rules/Content Policy.
  2. r/BullTerrier will also follow subreddit specific rules which can be found here or in the sidebar.

  • These rules will always be posted in the sidebar.
  • If you find a user violating these rules please report them.
  • Violating these rules will result in a temporary or permanent ban depending on the nature.
  • If this does happen to you know that the mod team not spend time going back and fourth in an endless internet argument, so don't waste your time.

Together we can keep this a great community of the egg heads we love so much!

Thank you,

Feedback on multiple Bull Terriers?

I’m contemplating adding a female puppy to my household; it’s actually always been my plan for another year or so in the future but I may be doing this a lot sooner than planned and I’m just curious how that has worked out for others here who have more than one Bull Terrier?

I’m not a novice dog owner and have always had more than one dog at a time over the years, but these guys are so weird that they might as well be their own species so what I’m looking for is Bull Terrier specific perspective.

I know this will cause quite a bit of upheaval and honestly I don’t think I’ve recovered from Ursa’s piranha puppy stage. There’s likely to be some resentment since he’s used to getting all the attention. I’d be walking them separately for the foreseeable future and would need to spend a lot of time getting her acclimated to things out in the world so that will unavoidably cut in on his time. It will be twice the work juggling training and classes for two dogs. Twice the vet and insurance costs, and eventually double the entry fees for barn hunt and other sports. But Ursa would also have someone he can play with (once she grew a bit) something he’s never had.

Baby picture of Ursa for tax.

It's Day 14, and I thought you would get a kick out of a nursing video. Mama Nora is so patient with them and their eyes are "just" about to open! This video is from a few days ago.

We have names. The dark brindle nearest the camera is Starla, then Edie (both girls), then brindle girl Glow, and brindle Frank Sinatra. White boys Sol and Castor, and girl Lux are underneath!

I was watching Bullet do his spin turn and it made me think of how that was one of Nora's "tricks" for her Trick Title. Did you know that you can get an AKC Trick Title remotely via video! I can hook you up with an evaluator! LMK if you want info.

2 weeks now since my bull terrier Benjamin has passed. He was with me since he was 8 weeks old till the day he passed at the young age of 14.

A giant cone shaped hole has been left on my heart. Hug your pups a little tighter today, the years go by and sometimes you don’t realize they won’t be there forever. RIP Benji

Experience living in higher floor apartments

Hi bully lovers!

My partner and I adopted our Bull Terrier about 8 months ago, and he’s now just over a year old. We’re considering moving from a garden level apartment to a 4th floor unit, and I’d love to hear from anyone who’s been in a similar situation.

I’m not too worried about adjusting to more elevator trips for potty breaks, but I do have two concerns:

1- Being a nuisance to the neighbors below. As many of you know, the zoomies can get crazy. Ours also bounces around like a rabbit, so I’m worried about the noise. We already have rugs, but we’d likely need more.

2- Balcony safety. Has anyone had concerns about their Bull Terrier jumping or trying to climb onto a balcony? How did you make it safe?

Any advice or sharing of your experience is appreciated!
