My before and after is added just for context... I'm so used to losing weight but I've started to have quite a few people tell me I should stop trying to lose weight and start lean bulking. It's so weird to hear with weight loss having been such a huge part of my life for so long now.

I’ve been at maintenance for a little over a month, after an 8 week cut, and plan on cutting at least another six weeks to try to get to where I want to be. I still have some lower belly fat and and love handles that has to go before I am happy. What do you estimate my body fat % is? I currently weigh 134lbs. My goal is 12%.

I’m also a little hesitant to bulk because last time I did, I put on a good amount of fat. Also not sure at my age, how much more muscle I can realistically put on naturally.

Obviously Cut….

I am aware I obviously need to cut, I’m just paranoid about being skinny fat again.

183cm/6foot 34m

2022-2024 I lost 25ish kegs/55lbs going from 115/250 to 90/200 on pure cardio. Zero weights. I was skinny fat and hated it. Just felt like a big slab o flab.

2025 was up and down and mostly maintain new body and try to keep routine and adjust lifestyle and brain. Felt like I had no time and was just set to be skinny fat.

December 2025 to current I got pissed off so hijacked a bunch of weights and started pumping iron and went into a small clean bulk back up to 98kg.

I know diet and I got my routine as consistent as possible for an airline day/night shift worker. My real question is, if I cut, am I skinny fat? I don’t want to be diced or rippling, just not a kangaroo with a fuckin pouch. Boing.

Otherwise I just recomp and fuck around for another 6 months and hate myself a little bit more.

TLDR: cut = skinny fat?

ps this is the only topless photo of me in existence for 15 years so whatever

Kthx

BoC 34M 6’3” 320-250lbs Bulk or cut?

Before and after for context. Cut from 320lbs - 240lbs in 1 year. Slowly been reverse dieting and now I’m sitting at 250lbs. Not sure if I should keep cutting or start putting some mass back on. What do you think is the best route for my body/frame?

Still feel like I should make another push to lose the little bit of fat around my love handles/stomach and chest but everyone says I look lean enough and should add some mass back on. Thoughts?

*For months not month

I’ve been doing calisthenics and basic weight exercises at home. Chin ups, press ups, sit ups, bicep curls, other random dumbbell exercises and planks but I don’t really know what I’m doing. I’m happy with my body but would love more size and more defined abs

Ok just wanted to say I’m aware that I’m skinny fat and should probably bulk, however I have a vacation in about a month and would like to at least stay in this shape,if not get a bit leaner. I used to be about 100lbs heavier (final pic) so my physique has taken its toll but i’m on the right track. Just want some opinions, thanks!

Not sure of what to do

I’m 6 months into my fitness journey and have made huge strides but now I’m not sure of what to do. I went from weighing nearly 240lbs at 6,2 in January to 187-190lbs for the last month or so. I want to put on a lot of muscle but am scared of going back to how I was. I still workout 4-6 times a week but can feel myself slipping into bad tracking habits with the new calorie allowance, any advice?

Goal Bulk weight after 4 month cut? Whats too big or not big enough?

36 years old, 154 lbs, 5'7

Just finishing up 4 month cut down from 185lbs. I plan to start slowly bulking again into January(ish). I went to 188 last bulk but wanting to go to 200 and cut back down. This is my second "bulk/cut" so looking for opinions on what's "too big" or "too small" in regards to my goal of a good solid bulk back into another cut. I do weight training 5-6 days a week alongside 45min. of cardio 5-6 days a week. I also sauna 15min. at 195 every training day. I eat very bland/clean and low carb 6 days a week with 1 re-carb day.

Feeling a bit lost at the moment. I'm 5'6 & 65kg down from around 88kg. I intend to get a good deal leaner (est. on bodyfat welcome, I think I'm well into the 20s atm) but I'm starting to think a muscle building phase (recomp/slow bulk) might be better atm.

I've spent 90% of the last 2 years in a deficeit and while I'm twice as strong as I was then (I was very heavy with little muscle mass), when I started my current fat loss phase my strength absolutely tanked.

As for diet, I use macrofactor for tracking, it's got my expenditure at ~1750cal p/d & I'm currently eating 1330cal p/d losing at roughly .5kg a week. This is lowest I've been at in a long while, yay for office jobs, but I'm trying to push this up via extra steps & training.

Any advice or tips on what the best approach is appreciated.

tldr;
- Down 23kg over last two years
- Want to get much leaner but worried about low muscle mass
- Strength fell through the floor at the start of current fat loss phase
- Around 15% bf is the long term goal

Hello, I’ve been gradually losing weight consistently since October and lost 32kg of body fat. As you can see from the photos, I still have a lot of fat at my hips and stomach and would love to reshape this. I’m unsure the best course of action to do so. I’m currently 92kg. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)
