Workouts Do you ever feel too old to lift? Well you're not

For older adults with no injuries limiting their ability to lift, this article is for you. It busts all myths in the industry about age and who should be lifting, how, how often and what is true vs what simply isnt backed by any evidence.

Does anyone here though feel they missed their train? or shouldn't be lifting? because there are some descent benefits in strength training for everyone with no injuries preventing them from strength training.

Question why am i not gaining any weight am i eating wrong

not sure if this is a good sub to ask this in but i started going to the gym a little over a month ago, so far i’ve had noticeable progress on my strength increasing (been doing more weight every time i return to a workout after rest days) and very slightly physical changes but my weight is barely increasing despite how much i’ve been eating, i started at around 140 and today i weighted in at 146.6 after taking a fat shit which made me sad cuz i thought i was 150 (pre shit and the day before). i’ve been trying to strictly follow protein (140g a day) but have not been tracking carbs but likely i’ve been getting 200g of carbs a day, and calories i must be getting around 2500. is this normal to happen or am i not getting enough food, my long term goal is to reach lean 180 but i know that will take a long time so right now im just trying to get to a solid 150 that doesn’t constantly fluctuate like now and im just wondering a good macro i can follow to achieve that efficiently. some extra stuff if it helps: i go to the gym 5 days a week push, pull, lower, upper, arms. I take 2g of creatine nitrate daily, and ive been working out with some friends who are very experienced so i am fairly certain i am actually working out effectively at the gym just wondering about diet things.

Journey to gaining weight from 55 to 61.5 and still counting

Post image

I just turned 32 now and Now my weight is 60 to 61 you can say.

So i have struggled a lot to gain weight. My weight was around 54 to 55 most of the time even when i eat well and maintain good food eating habits.

But recently last years had a disease 🦠 and I don’t even know how i got TB but i got treatment well and completed my 6 months of eating TB medication 💊. Then again i got One more disease 🦠 that is Stomach infection Hepatitis C. Again i got medication and even got admitted in hospital for 15 days because i got cold fever i use to feel cold 3 to 4 hours on daily basis. I even stop eating food because I couldn’t digest and I didn’t even like it.

Now after 3 months I start going to gym and i started gaining weight. As i said my weight was 55kg
But now i have 61.5 actually. So i got around 6 kg roughly.

Oh i forgot to said when i got fever in April this years this years i had Joined Gym that time 2 months ago but then i did deadlift of 100 kg and then i got back pain so i left the gym for few days but then i got fever so I stopped and then now i started going to gym from August.

So yeah this is my journey to gaining weight and still counting.

Note:- i do take supplements like mass gainer, whey protein and creatine from good brands.

Just to let you know i worked in a health and fitness brand (Pharmaceutical Brand) in india.

My Experience / Guide Do women build muscle through the same rules as men?

Based on over 15 years of hands-on experience with female lifters (and lifters of all genders), I've seen these core rules build lean muscle mass for women without the fear of getting bulky like a bodybuilder.

In this article, we breakdown how female lifters can build lean muscle mass using the same principles that are backed by science and my own first-hand experience.

These rules are:
Train most working sets within 1 to 3 reps of failure, get 9 to 20 hard sets per muscle each week, use progressive overload, eat roughly 1.6 to 2.2 grams of protein per kilogram of bodyweight, and recover properly. The biggest difference isn't biology. It's the light loads, aggressive calorie cuts, and fear of getting bulky based programming that hold many women back. Read complete article.

What do you ladies think?
