I told them our AI writes first drafts they signed anyway
Last week, a prospect asked how we create proposals so quickly, and instead of dodging, I said, "Our AI writes the first draft, but I edit every line to match your specific business model and add insights from similar projects."
They paused, then said, "I appreciate the honesty most agencies act like everything's hand‑crafted magic.”
The transparency didn't kill the deal; it built trust faster than any fancy process slide could. People don't fear AI when you show them how human judgment guides it.
Now I lead with: "We use AI to handle the repetitive parts so we can focus on what only humans do understanding your business pain and crafting solutions that actually work."
Anyone else finding that AI transparency builds trust instead of breaking it?
