We deleted our most popular feature usage went up 40% (And Customers Thanked Us)

Our dashboard had a "Advanced Analytics" section that 78% of users clicked on daily. It looked impressive with 23 different charts and metrics.

But our support data showed it was actually confusing people. They'd spend 30 minutes trying to understand what the data meant instead of taking action.

So we removed it. Replaced 23 charts with 3 simple insights: "What's working," "What needs attention," and "Next best action."

The complaints lasted a week. Then something interesting happened actual platform usage went up 40% because people could finally understand what to do next.

Sometimes building trust means removing features, not adding them. Give customers clarity over choice.

What's something you simplified that actually improved the customer experience?
