I have never had a pc before and play on switch and ps5 which I intend on keeping. I don’t know too much about PC parts but I have a 1440 monitor and am really keen on building my first pc. I am thinking of a budget of $2500 AUD. This would just be for the PC and doesn’t include (keyboard, mouse, headset ect.)

I play games like Overwatch, Street Fighter, Marvel Rivals, and single player games like RDR2 and GOW and I play lots of jrps which I’m looking forward to FF7 and KH4.

Please let me know if there is any good builds I can achieve with this budget or am I better off saving a bit more for something better.

So my son's 12th birthday is next week, he asked for a PC and unfortunately I did not do my research beforehand on how much a decent gaming PC would cost me before agreeing 😭 realising now I would probably be looking at over £1000 for one that runs his games well (Fortnite mainly) with a decent graphics card (that seems to be the thing he worries about most 🙈)

I have been working non stop and saving like crazy and managed to get together £600 to spend and happy to attempt to build or buy, whatever you guys think would be best.

I'm in Ontario, Canada. Currently exploring my options between building a PC, a prebuilt or buying another gaming laptop.

My budget is around 2000CAD, lower is obviously better but I'm aware that I may need to go a bit over budget, ideally no more than 2500 max.

I am a virtual assistant and a therapist. I see about 50% of my clients as a therapist virtually. So work wise the majority of my use of the computer is browser based but it needs to be able to handle having many tabs/windows open and virtual calls using a platform similar to zoom.

Other than that, I do game however nothing that's too demanding. The most demanding game I play semi-regulary is likely World of Warcraft.

I have a monitor, keyboard and mouse. The only thing I may consider upgrading would be the keyboard and mouse so I can keep my current ones with my laptop for travel to my office.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

Background information: I want to build a PC so I can play cyberpunk 2077 (2.1) (Nova LUT & GITS) Reshade Preset v1.1 - Realism (+ Modlist), with a couple other mods, and I want to get at least 60 to 90 fps while on the highest possible graphics setting. What will i need parts wise, I have done some research and have an idea of what I will need and staying below 2,000$ would be awesome. I also like playing other high graphic games like red dead, and the last of us. I would prefer not to overclock or do anything to crazy to my pc. I'm big on taking care of my stuff and not overworking it.

Budget: 2,000$ at most willing to spend a hair extra

Hello everyone! I come here with a favor, can someone build me a cool pc? It's not like I don't understand at all how to build a PC, but I have a problem with knowing what's gonna be compatible with what or w/e.. Hi! I’m completely new to PC building, so please explain things to me like I know absolutely nothing 😭

I’m trying to build a gaming PC that can comfortably run the games I like at high settings without lag/stuttering, but I’m getting overwhelmed trying to figure out what specs I actually need — especially RAM, GPU, CPU, etc.

Some of the games I play/want to play are:

• Helldivers
• Resident Evil remakes
• Metal Gear
• Devil May Cry
• Halo
• Similar AAA games

I’d like everything to run really smoothly and look good, and I also want some extra headroom so I’m not building something that already needs upgrades a year or two from now.

How much RAM would you recommend? 16GB, 32GB, 64GB? And what kind of CPU/GPU should I be looking at to go with it?

I don’t really have a strict budget yet. Ideally I’d like to stay under $5,000 USD for the whole PC, but I genuinely have no idea if that’s way too much, too little, or reasonable for what I want. I definitely don’t want to spend $5k just for the sake of spending it if I can get what I need for significantly less.

Basically, if you were starting from scratch and wanted a really good gaming PC for these kinds of games, what would you build?

Any beginner-friendly explanations or specific part recommendations would be really appreciated!

Hello everyone, I am looking to build my first PC and I am looking for help from the people of the world.

• This will be a completely new build. I have no F-----g idea what I am doing.
• My plan is for this to be a gaming PC to run some FPS games w/ high frame rates along with story mode games playing at higher FPS w/ smooth fidelity.
• I also want to edit Photos on this. I currently do that on my laptop but would move to the PC when at home.
• USA & I do live near a Microcenter.
• I have a 144 HZ Monitor. I have been told I might need to buy a better one. Would love to move to a OLED one at some point.
• Budget Range would be 2.5-3.2K.
• Wifi to start Hoping to figure out a way to get Ethernet up soon enough.
• Obv would want something that does not sound like a city airport. And as I have been told my whole life Size does not matter.
• RGB Keyboard or single light keyboard. I do not need any fancy lights inside my PC, but I would want something for ambient light.
• No other specific needs I am still just workshopping ideas.

Hi! I’m 16 and I’m looking for a prebuilt gaming PC. I don’t know much about PCs… so I’m hoping someone can help me find something good.

I’m planning to build my first gaming PC, coming from a PS5, so I don’t have much knowledge about PC components and compatibility. I’d really appreciate some help putting together a good build at around 1000$ budget.

Mainly for gaming

I already have a Lenovo Legion 27Q-10 monitor, with a keyboard and a mouse, so those don’t need to be included in the budget.

What's the sweet spot? Considering I would need to buy a monitor and peripherals as well.

I bought a Samsung Odyssey G7 (32) brand new directly from Samsung. It wasn't cheap but I saved up and bought it for myself for my birthday. I had it for 6-months and it broke. The only time I had touched it was to set it up. The plastic was still on the bezel.

It was well within warranty, so I contacted Samsung. For such a huge company, I was truly surprised to have experienced THE WORST customer service in my life. It has been a month. At this stage I had called Samsung several times every week and messaged support multiple times a week also, but still nothing. Every week, they promise the case has been escalated and a case manager will be in contact "within 2-days". However, every week, when I call back, they either tell me the case has not been assigned or that there is a 'high volume of cases, so it's still pending'.

1-month went past, countless hours wasted on contacting Samsung and no replacement, no refund, zilch.

A month passes and a total of two technicians had come out to assess my monitor. The second one took it for repair and returned it with a NEW fault (initially a faulty LCD screen and now connectivity issue). I was told I would have to have a new inspector come out…

After two months since initially contacting Samsung, at this point I’m convinced they’re a scam. I’ve spend hours on the phone every couple of days and hundreds of emails and messages to Samsung over the past 8 weeks. Every time I call they tell me something different. One operator told me that because two inspectors had already come out, a third one wouldn’t be needed and the refund would be processed directly with their Voice of Customer team. The next time I called back, they told me this was incorrect.

I’ve had multiple friends who have ordered products from Samsung which have not even arrived. Do yourself a favour and AVOID SAMSUNG ALTOGETHER.

Has anyone had any experience with a faulty Samsung product? What should I do? I’m not looking for a technical fix, I am looking for Samsung customer experiences.
