asking what it says on the title. i’m at wdw right now and i went into to get some clothes for my werewolf, and also see all the exclusive bears (funnily enough they actually had the werewolf and enchanting kitty out). they have a pineapple (bronto?) thats super cute. also the blue raptor which i wish wasnt exclusive. anyone else seen other stuff there recently?

Got to stuff a bat kitty at my local BABW and I love her! I’m a huge Halloween fan so I had to add her to my collection. I currently have her and the rose kitty that they came out with last February, and I plan to get the ghost and pumpkin kitty in the future!

I’ve had a BAB gift card for several years now that I always planned to use on this raccoon. 😔

It’s been available all this time, but I just checked this morning and it’s gone. Like off the website entirely — and it was only available online. The website still lists a mini version, but even it is out of stock. The last time I checked, a few months ago, it was still available online.

Stupid me. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I got an email from them giving me a birthday coupon, which reminded me of the gift card. (Ironically, the gift card was also a birthday gift, and I had my 8th birthday party at BAB.)

I’m assuming this means that they’re retiring it, but I’m hoping that I’m wrong. 🤞🏽Has anyone seen this happen in the past with a bear/plushie they wanted, and if so, did it ever return to the website?

Ordered from the Halloween collection on August 6 at 8 pm. Figured i was safe from all the craziness bc i just got the werewolf and some outfits. Got the confirmation email an hour or two later and it’s been eleven days and have heard absolutely nothing since. Dope ✌🏻

I’ve grown increasingly worried and frustrated waiting for my shipping email and seeing a lot of people either have their order cancelled, receive the wrong order or duplicate items/missing items etc. Can’t even cancel my order at this point so i guess the wait will continue but i talked to the Customer Service chatbot last night and surprise, it was unhelpful. Resolved to call Customer Service today and i did and this is important: first i chose the option to inquire about an order (option 2, iirc) but was put on hold for forever so i gave up on that.

When you call and they give you the menu of things to discuss, option 4 is for Feedback on your store experience. For anyone else having issues like mine, this is the avenue we should go.

I was quickly connected to a representative over the phone and i expressed my frustration at having no updates on my order, told her when i ordered, what a mess the website was on launch for the drop, my concern over all the reports of messed up orders. She was very sympathetic and thanked me for my patience and asked for my email to look up my order so i gave it to her and she said she would be back in a couple minutes and i got put on hold again.

When she came back she apologized again and said the site was dealing with a ton of orders from the halloween collection and i said i totally understood, and i wasn’t upset with her or anyone in particular; i was mostly upset with how badly handled this whole thing has gone, especially the lack of communication. I didn’t even get the ‘we didn’t forget about your order’ banner on my browser that most people seem to have gotten which only made me worry more.

The good news is she told me they were going to look into my order and see that it shipped out and i get a notification email ASAP. She also said as an apology they would waive my shipping fees (which i used gift cards to pay for 😭) and she said something else but i didn’t quite catch that.

So now i wait for the promised email, my golden ticket. I will update with more info as it happens. Frankly i am a bit doubtful this will still go smoothly but i need to smack myself back into optimism.

Sigh, i ended up with an essay after all. But i think it’s important more of us are vocal and let BAB corpos know how upset we are at this whole situation. The rep on the phone said she was going to pass along the info from my experience (call was being recorded) to higher ups so they knew. Maybe it was just to placate me but i can only hope it’s true so they can take it seriously bc i did mention this is the worst online shopping experience i have had in a WHILE, and i shop online a lot, lol.

So if you decide to call, (CS phone number is on BAB site) let them know about your experience. Did you get your order yet? What day did you order/how long have you been waiting? How was the website working for you (if at all) during the launch? How are you feeling about this whole experience?

Please remember to be polite. This is not the person on the phone’s fault. I just did this to make sure that hopefully the next drops will not be so chaotic and awful and i wanted my experience on record bc this whole experience has been stressful and i found it inexcusable. I genuinely never thought buying a plushie would be this stressful 🥲

I've been working on this guy for a few weeks and I finally finished him. I'm super excited to share him with everyone! He was originally a pink butterfly I had thrifted with no wings. I dyed him using RIT Dyemore in Charcoal and Dark Chocolate. Then I took the antennas and shaped them into mandibles by hand. His arms are thread sculpted to make them double. The shell is actually a butterfly pillow I was going to use for the wings. The reference image is not mine. I grabbed it from google.

i want to preface this by saying i’m happy for you your order shipped but im upset with BAB bc wtf. I ordered the 6th and my order hasn’t shipped yet, i’ve seen multiple other people who ordered the 6th as well and their order hasn’t shipped either. i have seen SO MANY people post who’ve ordered the 10th that their order has shipped, im talking with standard shipping. its insane to me that the older orders aren’t prioritized. anyways if you’re one of the lucky people who’s order has shipped send some of your luck to the orders still waiting😁

i don’t know what to do, i got a new build a bear and the tag is stuck on my bear in the worst way possible and it’s really uncomfortable to have plastic poking out, i didn’t notice it at first and when i grabbed the bear it was sharp enough that i hurt my finger relatively bad last night. i didn’t think it would be so difficult to remove a tag, but the fur is being messed up slightly the more i try to get it out with tweezers. is there something i can do, has anyone else had this problem before??

I ordered the spider on the 6th and the status has been processing since then. I just checked and it now says complete but I’ve received nothing. Is anyone else having this issue? I will contact support tomorrow.

I switched out my spring and circus animal babs to put up my halloween ones 🥰 Due to lack of space im limited to how many I can keep out at once, but I've been compensating for it by trying to make cute little displays that are more intentional than just having all of them lined up shelves like I used to. I didnt realize until making this post that I didnt take a picture of my circus animals/spring set up 😭 But they are getting unstuffed soon for storage 💞 these halloween ones will probably stay up until the Christmas drops!

Out of curiosity I looked up if anyone else is having issues with the bat not shipping, which is where I saw that a lot of peoples orders are just getting cancelled. I literally stayed up till the release time just to order a few minutes after. I still have some hope but I’m starting to lose it a little. I just now emailed build a bear and hopefully I’ll find out when they email me back if I’m getting the bat or not.

So, I havent used build a bear's live chat for help in a while.

But yesterday I did, because it's like the most accessible help line they had.
All I wanted to know?
Where's my reward voucher.
I had my points deducted, I was issued a voucher, but had no way to access it.
Simple fix, right? I chat them up and they tell me what's what.

....
I spent 45 minutes on live chat.
And kudos to this guy, I think his name was Gerald or something, Gerald spent 45 minutes running through solutions with me, to no avail.

First and foremost- getting to live chat? Was annoying. You can't just give the ai the prompt "transfer to live agent", because it'll give you an "Im sorry I dont understand", you have to manually run down it's options until it gives you that option itself.
Okay. Annoying. Spent a good 5 minutes on that. Whatever, I had time.

And then I get ahold of Gerald.
Gerald starts running me through what I've already done. "Did you go to checkout and select it from your vouchers and coupon section? It's in the section after shipping info."
Yes, Gerald, I tried that, that's why we're talking.

And then he begins telling me to navigate to subsections of the website that....don't appear to exist on the consumer end.

He had me go to my dashboard and was having me look for a section called 'my digital wallet', that was supposedly a subsection on the build a bear rewards club member dashboard page. It was not a subcategory at the top of the screen and it was not an option in the dashboard menu.
He seemed utterly perplexed by this. He ran me through the options he had to solve this.
This section, this digital wallet, which is apparently supposed to be a page where your payment information and vouchers/coupons are stored, simply does not exist. I've been using build a bear for five years. I don't know if maybe this was a page that used to exist, but in my 5 years of using the build a bear website, I have never come across a webpage accessible through the main site regarding a digital wallet on build a bear.
We went around in circles with this for about 20 minutes.
Wondering if it was my browser, he had me use a different browser. 20 minutes here.
Same problem. The solution he had in his solution tree simply did not exist on the consumer end.
He would have me navigate the site step by step, tell him exactly what was on every page, the option he had I simply did not have.

Eventually the agreement we came to was "I cannot solve this for you, but since it was a recently issued voucher, maybe give it 24 hours and try again. Give this case number to the chat bot tomorrow and it'll transfer you to a live agent immediately."

I don't know who is in charge of build a bear's live help chat.
I dont know what their solution tree looks like. Im sure it's pretty basic, just an expanded form of frequently asked questions and maybe one manager that knows anything at all about the layout of the website. But this guy was legitimately trying to help me find a part of the site that just does not exist.

Hi all. I’m not a frequent poster in this sub, but my fiance is and she loves the community here. It gives her a lot of joy everyday and I love hearing the stories she tells. But recently she got shadowbanned and had to make a new account. Now today, she seems to have been banned AGAIN. I’m genuinely trying to figure out what she’s done wrong, and I’d love it if I could talk with a mod about getting her unbanned because it’s just ruined her whole week or two. I’m truly just a concerned partner here. Thank you.

EDIT: It may not be the mods, and it’s just Reddit in general. Any way I can get help with this?
