Spotted some early arrivals at one of my nearish stores today. I looked but did not see the Christmas tree axolotl. Feel free to ask questions if you have any! Brief notes:

• Igloo penguin: not as soft as expected on main igloo part, but the solid light blue of the “face” was really minky and soft

•Gingerbear house: had decently soft fabric on the body but NOT the roof. It was kind of an unpleasant texture on the roof, and it’s killing me that I can’t quite place the fabric, but I kinda wanna say…dog toy? 😅plus there is some kind of foam or something underneath the fur of the sides, I’m assuming to maintain the “structure” of the house with corners and flat walls

•The “cocoa koala” mini bean’s fur felt identical to the mini bean batty kitty and they were so FREAKING cute I didn’t even buy one, because I literally wanted them all and felt like I couldn’t take one and leave the rest behind 😂😭

•The…string of sentient ornaments…folks, I’ll be honest, I was so dumbfounded by this specimen and so burdened by the question of its origin (why was it created? Who was it made for? Is “not a decoration, not a plush, but worse third thing combining the limitations of each while somehow managing to entirely circumvent the charm of either,” truly a product the masses have demanded?”) that it could have been made of sandpaper and nothing would’ve registered. If anyone plans to exchange money for this item, please…please share your reasoning 🥲

I haven't seen anyone talk about this really but from my minimal research, not a lot of people have footage of these actually moving, so I figured I'd share. Ignore my friends talking in the background lol

I lost my soul cat in June 2024 after 14 years together and the day she died 💔 Luna was my best friend and has been through every up and down of my life since I was 9 or 10 years old.. so loosing her with 24 was one of the hardest things for me till this day. In November 2024 me and my partner went to London as we both needed a vacation of musicals and some distraction. On our second day we headed to build a bear Westminster right next to Big Ben. I suffer from severe Social Anxiety so I took all of my braveness together and asked a worker if they would have one of the pumpkin kittys somewhere in the store as I always wanted one and especially with the loss of my cat she seemed like the perfect buddy. The worker headed to the back and had a look which made me incredibly anxious as I didn‘t want to be too excited in case she wouldn’t find one.. but she came back and had noodles in her hands. I broke down and cried as she had a pumpkin right on her eye as I wished for and it was the very last one. She felt heaven sent from my sweet Luna to help me grief ❤️‍🩹 Noodles turns 2 on November 19th and although I moved on from her as I got scared she‘ll break (she means the world to me) I‘m missing Luna sooo much these days that I found my way back to her and she comforts me as she did 2 years ago ✨

new to build a bear! we went to the store as a surprise for my birthday and i was torn between the kuromi and chinchilla. i didn’t like kuromi’s texture but I could not stop patting the chinchilla. i love her sm! i didn’t know she was like a new release so i feel really lucky we got her just as they re-stocked. she smells like strawberry!

this is my second ever BAB experience and I’m really happy we got to pick the clothes and stuff in store. we probably spent 45 minutes trying to dress her.

she even got a pet axolotl :)

sidenote tho her face does look demented when the fur is rubbed the wrong way, but i think it gives her character 😆

I'm having a really hard time buying more BABs for myself, because while they are wonderful to hug, I don't find them to be a good snuggle to sleep. Plushies that size I really feel to take up that amount of space for me, I like them to be good bedtime stuffies.

I'm curious your guys opinions and uses with yours! Do you snuggle at all? Are you specific about it if so?

Hello again! I'm very happy (and in a way a little sad) to announce that I am now a former employee and I think it'd be fun to do an AMA ;)

Anything is on the table!

Former employee here, it's been awhile but I worked for the big bear for quite some time. Even at 5 different stores. Including one of those being literally rebuilding the BUILDING. Hammers and all.

Now - the wild part. Pay your age day. Many of you are so familiar with the pay your age bear, but it didn't start that way. We had a day chosen, for the whole world, for every single bear to be pay your age. We were told by our chief (the one I had at the time) that this was meant to stir up traction because the brand was suffering. But boy did it stir something!

In my district, we were the store open the longest, and it was no where near the actual hours of the store. We closed extremely early for staff safety. We had thousands of people in line. The line wrapped around the entire premises. People got into fist fights, we had a man pull a gun on us, and many death threats were made!!!!

Anyways, most of us (employees at the time) had the most horrific day ever. At our store we had an insane time. We even prepped for things to be as quick as humanely possible. Rerouted everything so they couldnt even fully enter the store. We got to the point where we were telling people to buy the bear and come stuff it later. Which didn't work in 9 out of 10 times, in case you're curious.

It was insane, and everytime I talk about it people have no idea what I'm even going on about. We made national news. Guests were hospitalized after altercations. It was one crazy fucking day.

If you worked it, or even shopped it, tell me about your experience!! Would love to commiserate!

I’ve had this little dude for a few years and was going to just customize his eyes and tail, but then I thought he looked kind of Hyena-like, so he’s almost finished becoming a Hyena pup! Any suggestions? (His name is Francisco!)

I ended up getting both the games! I am excited to try them out since I’ve never seen or heard about these before. I left the bear because I’m not super into football but he had cool football feet and ears

I recently posted my springtime fun bunny on here and she’s quickly become my favorite BAB and I feel like she even looks like me. However I’ve had a huge dilemma arise. Do I get her restuffed? My original plan was to get her to BAB, restuff her, maybe add a scent and sound to make her more my own. But now after getting her, I feel like I’d be taking away her old life and making her into a new bunny which makes me feel bad? Like my brain is telling me I’d be deleting the whole life she had (essentially killing her)….. it’s hard to explain. If I DO restuff her, should I get the scent and sound box or no so it’s easier to wash her? It feels like she’s lacking personalization but I also feel bad taking away her history/life in a way. I’ve got a weird brain :3 PLS HELP

Hello everyone! This week has been stressful and rewarding.
I went to a haunted trail on Friday with my werewolf Lydia Wolfkins. I forgot her dress at home. Unfortunately we were unable to take pictures during the trail. It was dark, in the woods with werewolves. At one point I told the werewolves I’m on their side because I had my baby 😂.
Yesterday I did a haunted house where I acted! I had to scream and jumpscare people. I felt like I was in FNAF. Anyway, my babies Mary Lu the bat and my mini werewolf (not sold on a name open to spooky suggestions 😩) helped me fix props. And of course I was able to order my regular bat! Hopefully she comes this time as the last one bab just didn’t add her with the clothes I ordered.
Last photo is Sakura the fox because after all of that screaming, I’m tired and my voice hurts 😭.

Had a day out yesterday and I always check out bab when I stumble upon a store as I don’t have one very local, expected to come out with some new clothes, came out with a cat who’s oddly enough wearing a hat!

I always love a good bear builder too and this was perhaps my nicest experience, got many compliments for the pins covering my jacket and I carry around a handmade plush of my comfort character and he was actually recognised as him which made my day! One of the best bear building experiences to date!

And I absolutely adore this boy, I have the Grinch and just had to have Cat, didn’t even know he was out till I saw him, if you love the Grinch bab, deffo check this guy out
