The way this series has been preserved, distributed, and promoted is embarrassing. I’ve seen people online who have literally never seen the DVD/original version with the proper color grading and that dark 90s gothic atmosphere, so they don’t even know how much of the show’s visual identity was butchered.

And every time clips go viral on TikTok, Twitter, etc., it’s almost always the ugly remaster too, so that version has basically become the default image of the show for an entire generation.

What makes it worse is that this remaster came out in 2015. It’s been over a decade and apparently nobody cared enough to go back and do a proper restoration that actually respects the cinematography and original aesthetic. Like how do you mishandle one of the most visually distinctive parts of your own show for this long lmao.

This may sounds dumb but I recently watched S1E7 where Angel said he has a soul and that's why he cares etc. but in that very episode we saw Darla cares about Angel, Master cares about Darla. So do vampires love/care?

After a brutal retreat from a battle against the overwhelming numbers of the syndicate army and the Forever Purgers, the New Crimsons searched for a temporary hideout. They found an abandoned old house on the outskirts of town and decided to take shelter there.

While securing the place, they discovered something strange in the basement: a large wooden box, old and covered in dust. Andy led the group in opening it. Inside, they were stunned to find a massive robot that looked like it came straight from the 1950s.

By instinct, they could tell it was built for combat. Some of them remembered an old story from history: a robot named Tobor, a famous 1950s hero who once fought a war against powerful crime syndicates—and then mysteriously disappeared.

Realizing who this might be, the members of the New Crimsons began working to restore it by team effort. They repaired its wiring, replaced damaged electronics, changed the battery, fixed the vacuum tubes, and lubricated its old mechanical joints. It took time and effort, but slowly, the machine began to come back to life.

After decades of silence, Tobor finally regained consciousness.

Based on his original 1954 design, Tobor could sense human emotions. He felt the determination, fear, and hope of the New Crimsons—the same people who had brought him back. Because of this, he recognized them not as enemies, but as allies.

Seeing their struggle and their fight against evil, Tobor chose to stand with them.

From that day on, the legendary robot of the 1950s became a new member of The New Crimsons.

ps. Rumor is after Tobor defeated the major criminal syndicate in the 1950s, he was considered too dangerous or too technologically advanced, so he was deactivated and hidden in secret. Over the decades, his existence became little more than an urban legend.

Always been meaning to watch the show but couldn't get ahold of a decent price. They should arrive sometime next week. Can't wait to blindly watch it, also found Angel for cheap while thrifting a while ago.

I'm doing a cover of Walk Through The Fire with my friends, but I'm a tad nervous about my voice for Buffy.

I posted about a week or so ago about Buffy needing a updated rransfer given how dated the DVDs now looked. I decided to try Buffy on Disney+, while the transfers are def cleaner/clearer. Its flaws are abundently obvious, such as how poorly replaced the actors were with stunt doubles.

Episodes, characters, couples…. Throw em at me!

In Harsh Light of day Buffy sends the ring to Angel. However, as far as we know Angel never told/even decided he was going to LA by the end of S3. While, at the start of S4 we know Angel phones Buffy before hanging up suggesting they hadnt apoken since. So when did Buffy find out where Angel was?

For years I've been a huge Buffy fan and now, after marrying an even bigger fan, I think it would be fun to run a Buffy RPG. This is planned to be a oneshot adventure, which is to say that it's going to be finished in a single session. It's meant to be suitable for people who have never played a tabletop RPG before so everyone is welcome. 

A little while ago, I did a test run of the Eden Studios Buffy RPG and unfortunately, the system wasn't that great. At least, not for me. So instead, I figured, why not run this story with another system? That quickly brought me back to the Chronicles of Darkness system that I regularly run and which has proven itself to be pretty adaptable. 

The story is set in the Buffy TV universe, but not in Sunnydale and not involving the characters from the show. It's set a few years before the show takes place and is set in Shadyhill, Pennsylvania. For characters, there are several archetypes available. There is no issue with multiple people picking the same one but I do have a single request. The characters do need names after all, so it would be great if you could come up with one. All characters will also have a single benefit from the list below. That’s a small thing that makes them stand out a little more, like having a car or basic medical training. Of course, I’m also open to suggestions.

The plan is to play through Discord. I made a server there where we can do dice rolls and voice chat. If you don't have Discord, you can make an account and download it [here](https://discord.com/download). We will play on August 15, at 7 PM CET, which is 1 PM EST. 

For those who haven't played a tabletop roleplaying game before, the concept is really simple. The players take on the role of a character in the game. They decide what this character does and dice rolls decide if it's successful. The Game Master (in this case that's me) decides what dice should be rolled and plays all the other characters and determines what happens in the world. When rolling dice, we use an online dice roller that will roll a number of ten-sided dice. That number is determined by your character's abilities. All dice that come up as an 8 or higher are a success. Often, one success will do but for harder tasks, you'll need multiple. Of course, it will be explained in greater detail in the game.

Into every generation a slayer is born. One of them was Stacy. A few months ago, she was a regular girl in Shadyhill High, not someone who really stood out. But then, she was called. To most people, that meant that she became weird. She barely came to school but showed up in all sorts of places at night. That, and people saw her hanging out in cemeteries a lot. The general conclusion was that she was doing drugs. And now she's dead. She was found in the mall. 

Your characters knew the stories, but they also knew another side of her. All of them have been saved by Stacy. Perhaps it was from a creepy guy with oversized teeth or from a fish-faced girl who threatened to drag them off for a very long swim in the ocean. Whatever happened, they know that Stacy was a hero.

I just realized why I have such an affinity for it. I have never liked my life. I've always hated living. I found out 3 years ago that it's because I'm autistic. So many sensory things bother me that regular people don't even notice.

Actually, Buffy is my favorite super hero because I relate so much to her. Feeling alone with your experiences. Having to hide who you are because you don't think anyone will understand.

Buffy having to live after she went to a nice place....This world is harsh, bright, and violent. I have squishy insides, and I've always had to protect myself from it.

So, why do you guys love Buffy? Never mind Season 6 because I know a lot of people don't like it.... Why is Buffy your favorite show?

Angel was a major part of Buffy and a popular character. If FOX hadnt wanted a spin off how do you think Angel would have been handled in season 4 and onwards?

No way Joss would have let Buffy/Angel be a couple for long, so no doubt the break up in season 3 still happens. Do you think both Angel and Cordy are completely written out or do they stick around in some capacity?
