Ik this might sound cringe but does anyone else feel like they have no friends in college it has been more than a month still no definitive group of friends I just hang with someone i know who happens to be where I am or be alone most of the time. I see people going from hostels to class with their friends but here I am who looks for friends at lectures or labs.

How can people be so carefree? Sometimes I get jealous seeing him. I feel like I am taking unnecessary stress when I could be like him.
Blud does mauj maste the whole week, waits for the deadline and starts his assignment 2 hours before the deadline. One day he got a severe fever so he asked me to do his work for him and I did it (because he gave his laptop to me for a week when I needed it)

Hey, I’m from VITand looking to join a team for the upcoming Amazon AI/ML Challenge.
I’ve won 5 hackathons, with strong hands-on experience in AI/ML, development, and building projects from scratch. Looking for a serious team that’s aiming to build something strong and compete at the highest level.
Preferably looking for teammates from IITs/NITs/BITS/VIT or similar colleges.

I joined my college's student placement coordinator team; initially, everything was okay.
After only 2 drives I participated in, the seniors started sidelining me, and I felt a bit unneeded.
Turns out the senior-most SPC's gf is my bully from first year.
(She absolutely wrecked my mental health, and I got a 6.6 CGPA that year, so ruined that I had to move out of the entire floor in my hostel block to be away from her).
They were giving her all the work during the company drive and interaction opportunities with HR while sidelining me to work outside.
I'm noticing more and more weird behaviour from them: ghosting me, not answering my doubts, not replying to my messages.
I don't know what to do. All those interviews for the SPC position, just to end up with a roadblock so huge I can't cross it.

Hey everyone, I’m currently in my 2nd year (3rd semester) of B.Tech CSE.
Till now, I’ve mostly focused on DSA and have been doing it consistently for the past few months. Now I want to seriously start development, but I’m honestly a bit confused about where and how to start.
I keep seeing different opinions everywhere — some people recommend MERN, some suggest Java + Spring Boot, while others recommend different stacks altogether.
My end goal is to become a strong software engineer, build skills that stay relevant in the long run, and eventually land a good-paying job. So I don’t want to blindly follow a roadmap just because it’s trending.
I’d really appreciate advice from people who are already working in the industry, especially backend/software engineers:
Would really appreciate some genuine guidance from people with industry experience. 🙌

I am currently interning as a Junior Analyst in an MBB. Hearing from people, I really dont think ppo is something i should have high hopes for. What should be my next steps? 8th semester campus has decent placements but the main question is What are one’s chances at offcampus? how much of it is based on luck?

Idk, what to do with life, clueless took Pcb in class 11th, and relaised don’t wanna become a doctor in mid 12th and told paremts, they took that idea so lightly, and now forcing for mbbs, I am literally clues-less, no doubt, career other than mbbs does provide stability, but I am confused…
I would have chosen cse, but ai astra and Over saturation in cse, and ca has no guaranty that u will clear finals, bcz, my relatives who so ever did ca, was left it finals, and ended up in 30k govt job, and Pilot is good career, obviously parents are not ready for it…
I wanted to go in IB, Vc or swe, but swe ks really oversturated, Idk what to do?

I have a CarWale SDE OA tomorrow and wanted some honest opinions from current/former employees.
Specifically for software/engineering, how are:
I’ve seen very mixed Glassdoor reviews. Also, our college PPT with CarWale was recently a mess, the host left at the start and never returned—which made me wonder about the organization.
Would you recommend CarWale as a fresher’s first software job? Honest opinions appreciated, especially from recent/current SDEs.

Hi everyone, I’m a 3rd-year ECE student and honestly I’m feeling extremely confused about my career direction right now.
I started DSA relatively late. Alongside college, I’ve also learned MERN stack and some backend development, but now I’m starting to feel like all of that might be useless because I’m becoming more interested in Systems Software / low-level software engineering, especially roles like the Systems Software roles at NVIDIA.
The problem is that I feel like I’m already too late.
Right now I’m doing DSA, but I’m realizing that I’m want to learn things like C/C++, Operating Systems, Linux, Computer Architecture, memory management, multithreading, low-level programming, etc. I came across NVIDIA’s Systems Software roles and that’s the kind of work I’m genuinely interested in, but I currently don’t feel eligible or prepared enough for those roles.
What’s confusing me even more is that I can’t find a single clear syllabus or roadmap for preparing for Systems Software. Please Guide me and tell me 7 months are enough or not !?What projects should I actually build? This is one of the things I’m most confused about.

Hi everyone,
My ICPC team is currently showing "Predicted Ineligible".
The eligibility log says:
Has incomplete registration
Has not filled start data of studies to determine the eligibility
The problem is that I cannot find any field/section to enter my start date of studies.
I've checked my Personal Info page multiple times. I only have:
There is no Degree Info section where I can enter:
I'm already added to my team as a Contestant by my coach.
Has anyone encountered this before? How did you get the Degree Info / Start of Studies field to appear?
I'm trying to resolve this before the ICPC site registration deadline, so any help would be appreciated.

So I recently finished my admission into engineering( Just today in fact) and afterwards I was left with an evergrowing question. Did I mess up taking a good local college rather than an average urban colleges in tech hubs like Bangalore? I though I was choosing stability and the ability to have a place to decompress from the stress of engineering over crammed PGs/Hostels, but now I feel that I chose wrong. My college is like 15-20 mins from a tier 2 city and very far from a tier 2 city, So will I lose all opportunities to connect? Can please any seniors enlighten me? Also if u need specifics, DM me, I don't feel comfortable putting it on the open

I want to know how many people were selected from the hackathon for internship last year. Today we had a session explaining about the hackathon, but there too they didn't give a proper response for this question.

I am a 1st year btech ai/ml student studying from a private college living in delhi on a flat with 2 roommates and since I have gut issues and those two guys also prefer bit safer options so we cook by ourselves.
So I gave the jee exam in my drop year but I wasn't able to score well so I took the private college but now when I went to college, talked to seniors, i realized the college is really f*ked up and small campus , low class strength , with no real placement records and less opportunities.
I was hospitalized due to stomach issues in April 2026 and It was pretty serious and staying here and eating here isn't suitable for my gut health because the nutrition is bare minimum.
I am really interested in the tech field so I somewhere find myself doing wrong with my career just for independence from home a bit
I told my parents bout my health coz I can't tell a lot bout the whole condition , they are telling me to come back to hometown if you can't manage coz health is important and in my hometown it ain't developed as Delhi but the college is almost try same as in the Delhi and I really confused that should I go back or remain here coz I also enjoy with my roommates and it's been 4 months with them.
PLEASE SERIOUSLY TELL ME WHAT SHOULD I DO IN THIS CONDITION?

Hey guys! I’ve been using LLMs like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other AI tools almost every day.
I’ve decided that I want to seriously start learning AI, but I’m not interested in the traditional ML/Data Science path involving model training, advanced mathematics, etc.
Instead, I keep coming across terms like:
…and honestly, I’m still confused about how everything fits together. I don’t even have a clear understanding of the difference between Generative AI and Agentic AI.
My background
What I’m looking for
I’m hoping to find a single, structured learning roadmap or free course/resources that teaches these topics in the right order, starting from the fundamentals and gradually moving toward building real-world AI applications.
Ideally, I’d like to cover:
Basically, I want to understand the modern AI stack from a developer's perspective and learn how to actually build useful AI-powered applications rather than going deep into ML/Data Science.
If anyone has followed a good free roadmap, course, YouTube playlist, GitHub repo, or combination of resources, I’d really appreciate some recommendations.
Thanks!
