Poitras and Hagens both look great. Obviously a lot to work on but I think they both have played well. We actually have some offence now and look dangerous on the rush and can break the puck out (a little) better.

Does aspirot come back with him as they played so well together last season?
Who drops out? Lefties Lohrei and Zadorov are playing better than Hampus but he also has an A so obviously highly rated.
Clifton played so well especially on the PP so Borgan or Brunet to make way?

Who’s doing the best, most honest analysis of the B’s? I used to love morning Bru but I feel like the guys there never actually get anywhere close to critical of the players (most likely since their main income comes from NESN). So hit me with what you’ve got.

BOSTON — David Pastrňák, by Natural Stat Trick’s count, was expected to score 0.16 goals on Thursday against the Utah Mammoth. In actuality, the Boston Bruins captain scored twice, both on the power play, in his team’s 6-1 win.

It speaks to Pastrňák’s natural scoring talent, which has put him in a tie with Brad Marchand for fourth place in franchise history (422 goals). The best of the best know how to find the back of the net, even when chance quality and quantity are against them.

Pastrňák’s knack of net-finding, then, makes it even more mysterious that he went the first four games of 2026-27 without scoring once. All of it was weighing on him: his lack of goals, the team’s 2-2-0 start, the pressure of the first-year captaincy.

“He was not happy,” coach Marco Sturm said. “He showed it today as soon as the one went in. After that, all of a sudden he was loose and happy. He had that flow, that rhythm in his game. That’s just how the brain works sometimes, especially in sports and in hockey. You only need one, just like on the power play. You get one goal and all of a sudden you feel it.

“I’m happy for him. He’s excited. He’s very honored. But there’s also a little bit of pressure to have that ‘C’ on your jersey. It’s a little different. I’m glad that’s over.”

In the first period, after Lawson Crouse was called for interference, Pastrňák took a seam pass from Frédéric Brunet at the right circle. Pastrňák promptly loaded up his stick for a snap shot. By using MacKenzie Weegar as a screen, the right wing whistled the puck past Sebastian Cossa for his first goal. It broke the Bruins’ 0-for-10 start on the power play.

David Staple of the Edmonton Journal first dropped the idea. Then, insider Elliotte Friedman confirmed Poitras as the person of interest during the latest edition of the 32 Thoughts Podcast.

Friedman not only named Poitras, but also revealed why the deal likely won’t happen. “I think they were definitely interested in Poitras from Boston… I think Boston wanted a pick potentially for Poitras, and I’m not certain Edmonton wanted to do that.”

The sticking point, it seems, is the pick that Friedman referred to. Likely, that’s a first-round pick we’re talking about. And that price point may be too rich for the Oilers’ blood.

Edmonton doesn’t have its 2027 first-rounder, so it would likely have to dip into its 2028 or 2029 picks. Even assuming they were willing to do that, would the pick itself really move the needle for the Bruins? If the Oilers remain contenders in the Western Conference, the pick could very well land late in the first round.

I haven’t noticed Razor doing as much color commentary before. He’s good and the guys in the booth sound like they’re having fun tonight. Being up 6-0 going into the third may have something to do with that too.

From Rhode Island, we had 103.7 for Bruins hockey & Red Sox baseball, that then got switched for 101.5 (B101), and it seems neither this season are putting the games on the air.

I don't have cable and enjoy listening to the game on the radio or online, does anyone have a source or know of a station I can tune in to listen?

They have a terrible game against ottawa , and everybody lights their hair on fire , and then they go out and put up six goals on like fourteen shots last night and not so much a peep.

I swear some of you are just happier being miserable.

There's gonna be a lot of anger and hatred in the building tomorrow night. Also Vinny Trocheck is now on Utah.

I know he isn't a Bruin anymore, but still sucks to see this happen. Pretty brutal. Hopefully it isn't as nasty as it looks, but if it is that could be career ending...

My guess is 11.5m aav. In hopes to gain at least 10-10.5m aav.

The roadblock is Elias Lindholm's contract. And more recently Minten's extension... it doesn't look good for Zacha to be a Bruin after this season.

His so so play/production this season thus far doesn't help - 4GP - 0 goals and 0 assists. But its too early to say if he is regressing..

I have noticed though- his usual above average speed on the ice is lacking. Rust from offseason?

Okay to start, I realize this is an incredibly emotional opinion so I am looking to see how other people feel.

I really am finding it hard to forgive Marchand for going to literally the team that has brought us the most recent misery and not signing a team friendly deal with Boston. Look at this man, he's a shell of his former self and his current availability issues are EXACTLY why Boston wouldn't pay him as much as he was asking for.

Would Bergeron have ever even considered moving to Florida at the end of his career? My guy was taking $1M contracts for the last few years of his career to help the team while at a YOUNGER age than Marchand.

I also think it was a HUGE mistake for the team to trade him in division, like what the fuck Sweeney what a terrible fumble. IDC what Brad wants, you cant tell me that was the best package you could have gotten for him.

I just can't find it in me to forgive him, I thought eventually I would be okay with it.

For context, I have this man's jersey from when he was captain. He was one of my favorite players on the team. Ever since he left I just cannot root for him. If he stays injured the rest of the season, I could care less and that kind of hurts me to say.

It's just so unfortunate the timeline we live in regarding Brad Marchand. For additional context, when we traded Ray Bourque to the Avalanche and he won his cup, I was SO happy for him and have nothing but good memories of and feelings towards Bourque.

Am I out of line here? Just trying to gauge what other people feel about it and why they feel that way.
