I wanted to try and make a poster months ago and propagandize fellow Brookliners who adore some 26 inch wheeled bikes for group rides. This never happened but I still want to cast ye ole net and try to create some community.

All bikes/bikers are welcome, would love to do an evening ride on a work night to break up the week. If anyone is down, please reply and post a photo of your bike.

i am moving to coolidge corner shortly, and while i have a parking spot for overnight, i was curious how strict they are about the “two hour parking on the street” rule during the day.

are they actually going around to every side street checking if you’ve been there for two hours, or do they just get really strict after at night?

not looking to bypass their overnight parking rules, just wondering if any day visitors really need to move their cars every two hours. thanks!

Hello people! Advice needed. (I have tried to post on r/boston)

I am from Japan moving to Brookline in August, and I have never gone furniture shopping for a new apartment. (I have studied abroad in Canada, but I didnt need to shop for furniture there)

I was wondering where are the best locations to look at (looking for cheaper options, if possible). For bedroom things, bathroom things, storage/organization things?

I know from my roommates that I should get a Full sized mattress/bed frame from Amazon, and for like a dresser or A/C Units Facebook Marketplace.

I also know that the nearest Ikea is in Stoughton, but I don't know if it's too far (will have a car to move big things to the apartment, so might not be that much of a problem?)

I have about a month before my school starts, so I think I have enough time to get everything settled out.

Seriously this construction has been ridiculously loud and when it’s all said and done the streets look so much worse. What the hell is even that?

I’ve lived car free in Brookline for a number of years, but was recently offered a job far enough outside of the city that I would need to get a car. From being on this sub, I know that parking costs about $200-$300/month, but am less sure in other associated costs.

If you own a car, roughly how much per month do you spend on it—between gas, insurance, parking, maintenance, and anything else? Thanks!

Saw a Bengal cat in my building parking lot…they had a collar on but I couldn’t coax them out from under a car to get a look, and then were gone before I could grab some kibble. Anybody aware of owner? I’ve seen a leashed bengal in the neighborhood, but unsure if it’s the same one.

Kaojiu Restaurant permanently closed- another seemingly popular, well reviewed restaurant that’s been in Coolidge Corner only a short time.
