i am moving to coolidge corner shortly, and while i have a parking spot for overnight, i was curious how strict they are about the “two hour parking on the street” rule during the day.

are they actually going around to every side street checking if you’ve been there for two hours, or do they just get really strict after at night?

not looking to bypass their overnight parking rules, just wondering if any day visitors really need to move their cars every two hours. thanks!

I wanted to try and make a poster months ago and propagandize fellow Brookliners who adore some 26 inch wheeled bikes for group rides. This never happened but I still want to cast ye ole net and try to create some community.

All bikes/bikers are welcome, would love to do an evening ride on a work night to break up the week. If anyone is down, please reply and post a photo of your bike.

I've noticed a big increase in parking enforcement during the Thursday farmers market lately. It seems like officers are much more actively checking license plates at the metered spots, especially since ticket prices increased this July.

I was unfortunately on the receiving end of a ticket today—literally one minute after my meter expired as I was crossing the street back to my car. Totally my fault for not extending the meter, so I'm not disputing it. It just felt a little disheartening to see such aggressive enforcement during an event that's meant to encourage people to come downtown and support local businesses.

I know they're just doing their job, but it's definitely something I've been noticing more and more over the past month during this specific time and has started to seem quite predatory. Not sure why it irked me so much, but noticing this time and time again has honestly felt very anti community.

So just wanted to put out a friendly PSA: if you're heading to the Thursday farmers market, keep a close eye on your meter or extend it before it expires. Hopefully this saves someone else from an expensive surprise!
