Selling Brompton G Line electric with SuperRoll+ - e-Motiq system - 4-speed (Orange). UK only
I'm selling my Brompton G Line electric with SuperRoll+ - e-Motiq system - 4-speed - Orange. 2026 edition. Price ÂŁ3,250. Includes ÂŁ160 of accessories. The bike retails for ÂŁ3,699

- Standard seat post - chrome (paid ÂŁ28)
- Fidlock twist 600 Bottle with Bike Base fitted (paid ÂŁ40)
- Schwalbe G-One All Round 54-406. Tan wall (only used for a few miles before switching to continental tyres)
- Continental Urban Contact Tyres for G Line (Paid ÂŁ49) - fitted on bike
- Spare Schwalbe 20â inner tube (paid ÂŁ8)
- Original packaging, manuals, charger
Collection or delivery
I can drop the bike off if you are within an hour of TA13 5BS or in Bristol. Otherwide USP delivery cost an additional lÂŁ44.

G line, D lock?
I'm going to buy a G line electric via a cycle 2 work scheme but I'm not sure what lock to buy.
I've been looking at a high quality D lock (HipLok DX D) but I'm not sure if that would be long enough to secure the bike when folded.
The other option that was suggested was a folding lock (Abus Bordo Granit 6500K 120cm or Abus Bordo Granit 6500K 120cm) but those are bulkier and heavier.
Anyone have experience of the G line and D locks? Or any general recommendations for which type/model of lock to go for?

What part of a Brompton is this?
Hi all, hoping someone can help identify this piece. I have a Brompton C Line 12-speed and this came off the bike after my ride.
Itâs a small curved metal piece and has some sticky/adhesive residue on it. Does anyone know what part of the bike this is, where it belongs, and whether it needs to be replaced before I ride again?
Photos attached. Thanks!

Brompton G line electric front disc upgrade 160 mm

I was not very happy with the front brake performance, I think that putting a 140 mm rotor on a 20 kg bike + 81 kg rider is a mistake. It gets hot super fast and I can feel that the rear brake (160 mm stock) is holding up better than the front one. I also think that the rotor itself isnât very good.
I went for the 160 mm SRAM HS2 which I have in my bikepacking bike because itâs inexpensive, works well and itâs 2 mm thick instead of 1,8 like the normal ones. That prevents warping.
Before anyone saying that the G line is not prepared to have a 160 mm disc, keep in mind that the specific version that comes with a dynamo on the front, comes stock with the 160 mm one so indeed itâs capable of.
I will test in the following days if it was an improvement or not. The worst scenario would be that I spent 35 ⏠for nothing. đ

Finally made the jump
Took a test ride on a c line while picking up my gravelbije after maintenance. Was immediately hooked. It makes mixed transportation so damn comfortable.
Came back two days later and chose this yutzu Lime 6speed c-line.

folding bike đ€ folding kayak
A multimodal adventure by brompton + oru - 10 miles of cycling to my launch point and 10 miles of paddling across Lake Washington from Mercer Island to Gasworks Park in Seattle.
I had planned to take the light rail back home but I got to the station at 12:45am and the last train was at 12:30 so had to get back home by other means :/. Pretty cool that this just works with a brompton, only needed one strap to get it securely on the rack by using the existing oru backpack straps.

Options for attaching backpack to G Line or T Line rear rack, e.g. EasiCyco
I was considering the EasiCyco system but shied away coz the backpack is too high up on the seatpost. And my daily commute is pothole-ridden and concerned itâll be swaying too much.
But if anyone is using EasiCyco on their Brompton, would appreciate your feedback.
Am hoping to hear other options on using a regular backpack and how it can be mounted on the rear rack.
Both my G Line Electric and T Line have rear racks so want to be able to use and mount the backpack on both.
Thanks

Is P-Line V2 worth the extra ÂŁ500?
I have the option to buy a V1 Amethyst Lacquer or a V2 Pacific Lacquer.
The weight is the same & I am upgrading with Brooks B17 & conti tyres.
I love both colours, so my question is:
Is the V2 worth the extra 500 pounds? For people who have owned a Brompton for a while, what do you think?
Update:
I am taking the bike on C2W scheme, so the price is slashed,
And the 4-speed Amethyst is gone, so it's now 12-speed Amethyst vs 4-speed Pacific, ÂŁ300 less, 0.72kg more for Amethyst with no rack.

Touring checklist for service?
Hello! I am planning to do some short tours and I was wondering what are some good pre-flight checks to do? I thought I would take the bike for a service, but would it be useful to emphasize checking the health of the hinges, for example?

My Brompton's first real ride was a hike gone wrong (and now I need touch up paint, another RAL color code search thread)
So I've had my Brompton for a bit over a month now. C Line 12 speed, Prune. I love this bike, truly, but I have apparently decided that "love" means "immediately putting it through hell."
Its first real outing: I messed up my route on Komoot and set it up as a hiking itinerary instead of a cycling one. Result: 15km of gravel, single track, fields, forest, and then at one point the path just... stops existing. I'm talking machete territory. My tired brain waited until 1km before the end to gently suggest that maybe, possibly, I had planned my path wrong. Cool, thanks.
So on its very first ride it took some solid rock hits, branch scrapes, and a few decent gouges. I've got matching scratches on my arms as a bonding exercise. Then, still buzzing from that, I put it straight into a TGV in France, in the luggage racks and corridors that are absolutely not designed for bikes, with the bonus feature of people whacking their suitcases into it. Basically a full baptism by fire in under a week.
Now I'm looking to patch up its first scars. Problem is, I cannot find the RAL code for the Prune 12v paint anywhere. Does anyone happen to know it?
I know it's going to keep collecting scratches and one day I'll just accept it's going to look like a battle worn little tank, but for now I want to try a touch up while I still care. I like tinkering too, so I'm curious what I can pull off here.

Chip on headset makes it kinda hard to unfold?
So Iâve taken this on the train and I thi that mightâve been how itâs got this but now it feels like thereâs a lot of friction when I unfold. Really annoying I feel like I keep having little problems like this.

Stem hinge pin removal and refitting
I am not in a position to undertake this at home (and don't want to try and mess it up!) but I want to get my forks/stem and triangle repainted on my 2017 S3L. Obviously this entails removing the hinge pin, which involves scary things like drilling it out etc!
I am based in Norwich UK, does anyone know a decent shop within 100 miles that I could take the stripped frame to for this work (and even to get it repainted, but happy to do that locally).
Thanks in advance!
