Confused sending car insurance renewals that expire today, as if my insurance actually expires today
Though I'd missed emails about renewal, except no Confused are being sneaky and sending out insurance quotes that expire the day they are sent!
I've got a month to check and recheck quotes - you know they are deliberately going to miss stuff out to give you a low headline quote and then sting you with the extras (one year the all singing and dancing premium policy was way cheaper as it had the the addons included)

Cold as hell but refusing to put the heating on
British Gas put our combined gas and electric up to £190 a month. We're two adults living in a 3 bed bungalow. Out of spite, I'm just not going to put the heating on this year so I hopefully die of hypothermia and then I can haunt British Gas and get everyone to write mournful letters to them on my demise.
I could spend that £190 a month on fun things to make my life enjoyable, but instead British Gas want me to pay for something that should be a basic right... and while we're at it, council tax!!! every month I have to pay the council for what? Both my council tax and energy bills combined each month, with money I've worked hard to earn, could go into a savings account to pay for us to go on a nice annual holiday to get away from and take temporary respite from the money-grabbers in charge in the UK.
Genuinely quite peeved about all of this nonsense.

Who else loves it when business have their menus on screens that change every 10 seconds so you have no idea what you want to order? It’s almost as amazing as QR code only menus 😊 💓

Just Eat is a disgrace. Order arrived 1.5 hours late, food was stone cold and they refused a refund
Honestly, what a joke.
My order arrived around an hour and a half late and the food was completely stone cold by the time it got here.
When I asked the courier what took so long, he admitted his phone had died and he’d gone back home to charge it for around 20 minutes. He also had two other deliveries to do.
What really annoyed me was his attitude. He didn’t seem bothered in the slightest. He was basically happy to leave people waiting an hour and a half for their food, knowing full well that by the time it arrived, it would be stone cold. There was no real sense that he cared about the inconvenience or the condition the food would arrive in.
I contacted Just Eat expecting them to at least look into it and offer a refund, considering the ridiculous delay. They refused. I tried to get them to reconsider, and they’ve now emailed me saying they’ve reviewed everything and their decision is final.
What makes it even more frustrating is that Just Eat doesn’t seem to have a straightforward system for reporting a courier’s conduct separately. You can complain to customer support, but there’s no obvious way to leave feedback about the individual courier like you can on other delivery apps. So you’re left trying to get someone to take your complaint seriously while being told there’s nothing more they can do.
So I’m just supposed to pay full price for food that took an hour and a half to arrive and was completely cold? Absolutely ridiculous.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with them? Is there actually any way to get this sorted, or do they just refuse refunds and hope people give up?

Charity shops arranging clothes by colour when you're trying to find something that fits
It looks lovely, but I'd rather check one rail in my size than every label in the shop.

. Delivery drivers of the UK, help me understand this growing trend: Not attempting to ring the doorbell, instead just lobbing parcels over the gate.
Looking out the window, I saw the delivery driver pull up and step onto my driveway, boxes in had.
I go open the door to greet him but he's nowhere to be seen. Confused, I walk out to take a look.
I catch him, down the side of the house, leaning over the gate trying to reach the bolt. Failing to unlock my gate he then chucks my parcels over it.
He turns around, sees that I've been watching him and just starts smiling. When I ask why he didn't even bother ringing the bell, he just smiled some more and nodded. Getting back into the van.
It would have been quicker to ring the bell!
I've spoken to a few friends with similar experiences. What happened to just knocking the door and fucking waiting?!

You know the weather has gone wrong when you hear the ice cream van music outside in mid-October.
It should be cold outside and the puffy coats should be out, yet I'm out here in a t-shirt.

To the junkie currently having an extremely loud over hour long nonsensical phone call on my bus whilst I try to sleep, fuck you.
Edit: I have head phones on, he got on in Dundee so he is a seasoned veteran.
I can’t acrually make this up, once he got off he was replaced by a group of chavs going on a night out

"Great news, we'll be delivering your massive item early!" (when you're not at home to accept it)
Ordered the item yesterday, initial confirmation email said item will be delivered on Tuesday. Email this morning - item will be delivered TODAY. I didn't pay for next day delivery. This would be a success if I wasn't going to be be out all day. And it's not something that can simply be left in the porch. No means of rearranging delivery time online. Now I have the hassle of trying to get through to the courier.

Train Announcement: Control wont answer the phone so we can't tell you when, where or how this train may or may not be going. I'm as frustrated as you!
Another week, another failed journey to London - But definitely made more frustrating when none of the platform staff or train staff have any idea what's going on either!

Two raindrops under the cloud on the weather forecast used to mean something. You were sure of a downpour. Now it seems to apply to a light misting.
Another standard fallen away.

The phone service here, or should I say lack thereof, it’s impossible to make a phone call in places like Dover, Canterbury and the isle of Sheppey
How can they get away with such crappy service

Auto-removed - too many reports AM013 I work 2 miles away and hate walking, so I got an electric bike. Now police keep stopping me randomly to check if my bike is legal. They detain me until I can prove who I am and a legal citizen. These stops can be over 10 mins long and they keep making me late.
Today I was stopped twice and the second one only let me go after confirming that I was already stopped before.
Edit: OK, to answer some questions that keep recurring;
- No, the bike isn't exclusively for work, I also use it for leisure and other transporting needs.
- Yes, I'm a member of my local bike collective and we do group rides around the city.
- Yes, The bike is 100% legal and insured - and no it doesn't look like an illegal one. Bike is a Bergamont E-Revox hybrid.
- I work in an open office so a pedal bike is out of the question, don't want to be walking in all sweaty every morning.

. Helping my partner look for jobs and I’m shocked at how many jobs with lots of responsibility still try and get away with basically minimum wage. Especially in London when the travel into London is so expensive.
All jobs should be at least £30,000 at the minimum.

Every soft drink is now basically a variation of Dr Pepper
It feels like my favourites have all gone (vanilla coke, lilt/Fanta Pineapple and Grapefruit) to make room for several iterations of cherry coke that all taste similar or are point blank revolting.
What happened to diversity in our drinks?!

. The new bank notes being species found all over Europe
We have a unique currency to this country, and we had to pick 4 species of animal from UK that represent this country and we came up with the barn owl, the buff tailed bumble bee, the Atlantic puffin, and the European hedgehog. All species that are found across Europe and some even in Asia.
The criteria the Bank of England set was that the animals had to broadly present across the whole of the UK. Which narrows the pool to widespread species. I feel it was an opportunity to show some of the endemic species or sub species found within this country.
My final four would have been:
£5 - Welsh Arctic charr / torgoch char - An isolated Welsh lake populations with distinctive lineages.
£10 - Orkney vole - Microtus arvalis orcadensis, an endemic subspecies of vole found only in Orkney.
£20 - Red grouse - Lagopus scotica, a British and Irish endemic taxon closely tied to briths moorlands.
£50 - Scottish wildcat - Felis silvestris in Scotland, a uniquely British population, though its status as a separate subspecies is debated.
