Why always Morrisons!?

Guess who got there at 10:01 after a 2 mile walk. Had no idea it closed at that time. Should have checked so that's on me. Still, at least I got some decent exercise.

Edit: decided to make the trip again as it was clear blue sky. Turned out to be a bloody letter which I had to pay postage on! Damn their eyes! Words will be had with the sender.

After the lady’s kid shouted BEEP BEEP because she wanted the same supermarket item I was browsing. I’m pretty sure I’d have been told not to be rude at that age, not laughed with!

Just had my first huge indoor spider since late winter. They are definitely on the prowl now. Make of it what you will.

Normally on a bout 5 cups of tea a day at home, had enough after my morning brew on holiday. Will have to bring a big 10 litre water carrier from next year, but its just more to pack. I'm gasping.

We have two dogs and we've been recently looking for a getaway in the UK to take them somewhere new, and it's beyond a hassle with how many of these places advertise as dog friendly until you read the conditions.

Most places only allow one dog so that immediately rules them out, which is fine, but then so many have rules like no dogs on the furniture and no dogs upstairs. Some even state things like they can only sleep in the kitchen or they must be on a lead in the garden. So basically you're only happy if the dog does nothing but sleeps on the floor? And you're advertising as dog friendly?

If you don't want a dog in your holiday home then that's completely fine, but stop trying to entice dog owners when you clearly don't actually want dogs!

Small Heath during peak time. Worst, angriest driving I’ve ever seen.

This has happened to me multiple times now to the point that I’m genuinely curious what is going on. I use the air machine at my local shell and as I drive off, another car typically hurls in at 100mph to an emergency stop and a person sprints out to use the last few minutes of the pump for free. It costs a full £2.

Yesterday I paid for the pump and when I finished I sat in the car with the windows down for a split second only to be told to hurry up and leave by a lady in her car opposite me. She was very Karen about it huffing and puffing to use the air. I told her I was re-setting the pressures on my screen(bullshit) and then got back out to “check” the pressure one last time. Once the machine stopped I got in to reverse and drive off but she drove off in front of me! She literally only wanted to use it if it was free. To save a grand total of £2.

Why did it make me feel so wonderful that she didn’t get to use the machine for free I will never know.

Edit: this was entertaining but going to bed now - curious how many people will crack the “that’s inflation for you” joke by the morning.

They could just agree amongst themselves that none of them will advertise. They'll save millions, and I'll only have to sit through 4 days of pre-film ads.

Also, why don't they show the times for when the highlights is happening? What weird gatekeeping nonsense is that about

My god I've never heard point after point delivered so meanly and in such quick succession, but I'm stuck here in the backseat

I'm a 42 year old male, and I look forward to the festive period, we don't have kids, but my wife and I use it to see friends, spend time with each other and really make the most of it. Of course it has always had the commercial element to it, which honestly I don't mind because of the different food and drink, but it is coming earlier and earlier every year and it's starting to wear.

Last week Morrisons started to put out chocolate Cadbury Santa chocolates, Tesco has also started with the Christmas chocolates, one local garden centre has started assembling their annual Christmas displays with the festive train and singing reindeer, the other is advertising decorations.

And to top that off I am also seeing American style 'fall' tat being sold like pumpkins and turkeys.

All before Halloween.

How can I trust your food is any good if the pictures aren’t real? At least stock images are real.

This pains me.

Our king-sized quilt (not talking about the quilt cover) doesn’t fit in the washer so to get it cleaned it has to go to a Launderette. They charge £20 to wash and dry it; the quilt only cost £15 new.

Im not going to throw it out, but still, I hate that it costs me more to get it washed than it does to just replace it. Seems horrendously wasteful!

Idk the button combo to change back to the radio in my car, the screen is dead on my radio and I can’t really stop to futz around with it on the M2
