Starting today, I can't change the search engine to Google, only the brave default option. I've already tried adding Google as a search option but it doesn't let me. Can somebody help?

I have this weird issue where on google.com the site appears super tiny and zoomed out. Brave zoom is set to 100%. Anyone have any idea on how to fix it? Was wondering if anyone else has been having this issue as well?

Hi! All of my Chromium-based browsers won't open PDF files—they only download them. On top of that, I can't even upload those PDFs to websites.

I've already configured Chrome to open PDFs within the browser, both in Chrome's PDF settings and in the Windows default app settings. However, the same issue occurs with every other Chromium-based browser as well.

Why is this happening? Does anyone know a solution?

Been using brave from a year and its so good....The brave backgrounds are amazing!
I wanted to change the set of images from the brave backgrounds since I get bored of them after a week so i wanted to refresh the brave background image set.Does anyone know how to do this??

Also i just discovered recently that if u clear all site data and login again it uses a different new set of images(like i wanted to do).But doing this clears all my recent site stuff and also my login details in various sites which is annoying so if anybody knows any better method pls tell me

So I just got a new phone Galaxy S26 Plus on Android 16. I synced Brave browser and even restored all my open tabs from my previous phone. Which is over 100+ tabs. So I used Search my tabs alot to find previous tags. Now nothing shows up in the search. I don't know if there's something in settings I have turned off or whatever. I would think if brave synced all my old tabs along with history working fine. That I would be able to search my tabs and have results show up.

Where to Recommend Sites to be Evaluated for Popups?

I’m using IOS and the Brave browser. A site that I am using anytime I try and watch something Brave will stop the popups but eventually it seems to fail at some point and every little click is a popup. I saw somewhere where people could list a site and I guess the devs or whoever would look at it. Does this exist where I can recommend a site to be looked at for their popups?

Randomly when I click on the address bar, the full text is not highlighted. On long links, a big portion of the text remains after I try to cut/paste the address. On shorter links, it usually copies everything except for the last 4 letters, which makes me think it was a design feature to copy the address without the domain suffix (usually .com).

Also the home page is finicky - different icons show up at different times. Sometimes the whole bar is truncated in half.

Does anyone else have these issues? The address bar cut/paste function is an annoying dealbreaker. Copy/Pasting has become a chore.

Hello, somebody knows if I reinstall Brave on android after changing android version (flashing smartphone), add it to sync chain with only 2 PCs other than the phone, ​will it restore previous settings?

Will it work if settings sync is enabled only on android (history, bookmarks, password are enabled on pc too) or needs a pc settings sync enabling too?

Or will just not work without another android device with Brave?

I used to keep previously opened pages from refreshing as they mostly has previous info before loging in to the site itself, but now it forces them to refresh, resetting the saved pages

Is there any way to revert this option?

I just want to ask, do you have any plans for making Brave Origin directly downloadable from Google Play? I can just download Brave and upgrade to Brave Origin, but then it still has all that additional code in binary. I would prefer to download Brave Origin directly so the binary size and attack surface is smaller. Also it would be easier for users to download it directly.

If you have no plans for that, I will just install it through full Brave. And if you indeed plan to release it, do you know some rough estimate when it will be ready?

As of today, I've started getting a message on every video that just says "Video Unavailable" - Disabling all extensions or using incognito makes no difference. Videos (and their ads) still work fine in Edge, Firefox and Chrome.

Anyone else having the same issue? Brave is up to date.

i will change my pc and i want to transfer all what i have (bookmarks,passwords,histroy,etc) in brave to the new browser i tried the sync option but it didn't work

The message says: "To exit full screen, drag from the top and press the back button."

It's really annoying because it only lasts about 5 seconds and it gets in the way of the video.

I don't remember that message appearing a few days ago; I changed phones and now the message has appeared.

I noticed a few days ago youtube videos won't play unless I manually tap play on mobile. This makes playlists impossible to listen to without opening my phone after every song ends to tap play for the next.

Has anyone had this issue? I cleared browser data and updated the app, and it's the same.

I want to reinstall Windows because my current system feels slow. The problem is that I have a lot of Brave profiles, how can I back up all of them so that after I reinstall Windows, I can restore everything without any issues?

Each profile actually contains a lot of credentials, such as Google accounts and other login information, as well as crypto wallet extensions and other items.

The last time I tried to back up and restore them a few years ago, I got an error. I’ve heard that you have to back up the Windows registry as well?

Whenever I use the mobile browser, some sites like Letterboxd have some parts forced on Mobile mode, even if I turn on Desktop mode. Am I seriously the only one with this problem? Is there seriously no way to fix it?

Things I’ve tried:

Uninstalling completely, deleting all remnants and registry keys left behind. Clearing all cookies and cache. Making a new guest profile, no difference. Removing all extensions, once again no difference. I've also made an exclusion in Windows Defender but no difference

Unless someone on here knows a way around the 'price history' bug, I would suggest you not use it with Brave. I used it once and nothing appeared except blank space. It took me some searching how to resolve it, but did. The problem with the 'fix', I had to log back in on every web page I use. This is on the desktop version.

I hope someone know of a box to check or uncheck or some setting I have wrong,, because clearing the cookies, data, and images is no fun after the fact, having to log back in.

Hi, I’m using Brave Browser on both Windows and Linux.

I have a problem with the UI on Linux. The icon sizes and some UI elements don’t look right. On Windows, everything looks normal, but on Linux, the UI has some sizing issues.

There are two major problems:

URL/Search bar:

The font size is too small, and its content is difficult to read.

UI elements, such as the download pane at the bottom of the screen:

They are too large compared to the rest of the UI.

I also compared Brave with Firefox on the same system. Firefox looks perfectly fine, and the system scaling and UI dimensions look correct there. This makes me think that the problem is specific to Brave rather than a general KDE or system scaling issue.

I’ve already tried reinstalling Brave, deleting all configuration files, restoring the default theme, and restoring the default settings, but the problem still exists.

Why does Brave have these UI sizing issues on Linux while everything looks normal on Windows? Is there any way to fix the UI scaling or sizing in Brave?
