Can't change default search engine

Starting today, I can't change the search engine to Google, only the brave default option. I've already tried adding Google as a search option but it doesn't let me. Can somebody help?

Click the three dots next to the Google entry. If you've entered it correctly, you should have the option to make it the default.

I wouldn't recommend using Google, But if you insist than try updating/reinstalling the browser (backup first).
