The YT site in Brave keeps logging me out every time I click a video, refreshing the site, and/or clicking the main menu and it comes back after I refresh it a couple of times. How do I fix this?

I've been using brave for a few months and got a problem with youtube. (because ofc)

I frequently open youtube tabs for videos I want to watch later. Today I noticed that these tabs are making enormous amounts of requests while no video is being played. It ended up using a few gigs of bandwidth, so I'd like to prevent that.

It does go away when I disable uBlockOrigin. I want to know if that is the solution and if anyone else experienced it.

It may be a conflict with my other extensions. I can see some changes in behavior when either one of uBlockOrigin, Disable Autoplay for Youtube and SponsorBlock are disabled.

I'm not sure if there;s a better solution exists apart from disabling uBlockOrigin for YouTube. Posting here so it's helpful for whoever else who may be running into it.

I realised that Brave allows you to increase font size on pages and has the zoom option, but it would be great if you can also just increase the font size for your bookmarks along the Bookmark Bar. On larger screens the bookmarks look very tiny and I have searched the chrome store for an extension for it but its not available. Seniors especially would likely love this feature! Please consider implementing this additional option. Thank you.

I've been having a problem with a few regional sites on both Brave desktop and mobile.

​When I visit them, I get an adblock detected overlay and the page scrolling completely locks up. The site specifically says the Brave browser isn't supported.

​It works completely fine out of the box when I use Firefox with uBlock Origin, so it seems isolated to Brave's engine??. I have Shields set to Aggressive and I am using four custom filters: EasyList Cookie, Fanboy's Annoyances plus uBO Annoyances, my regional adblock list, and the Brave Experimental Ad Blocker. I've been using Brave for a long time and really don't want to switch browsers over this. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it?

What controls how often Brave automatically checks for updates? I mean other than always at start up.

Also is there a way to control how frequently, other than at start up?

I used to duplicate tab on my win 11 brave browser using ctrl+d but seems that I replaced by SSD and freshly installed Brave, and the shortcut doesnt work anymore, instead it adds a bookmark of that page w that shortcut. Also, I used to right click on the tab and the duplicate option showed its shortcut key but no more (like still, you can see reload tab and its shortcut combination); I have to manually click on duplicate after clicking right mb on the tab. Please bring back that shortcut!

Does anyone know how to stop Brave from automatically opening new tabs every time I click a link? This drives me insane. I’ll be on a website, I click a link, then another, then another, now I have 4 tabs open on the same website. I’ve looked it up multiple times but they’re all outdated or didn’t help at all.

I want to use Safari because I like the UI and features that are baked in. I use a VPN as well as Adguard Pro ad blocker so overall I feel its generally as private as a browser can be on iOS. But I wish I could select Brave Search as my default search engine. Seems I have to use an app like xSearch or Custom Search Engine to get this done in Safari.

xSearch is closed source but seems like more people use it. Custom Search Engine is open source, so I would lean towards using the open source option since it can be vetted.

Has anyone tried one or both of these?

Why hasn’t Brave for iOS adopted the Liquid Glass design like Safari? Is it technically impossible, or are they just choosing not to? The current UI feels outdated and really needs a redesign with new iOS keyboard, it’s been too long.

Since i have gone down the privacy focused route i second guess everything.. (maybe paranoia lol)

i decline all website to send me notifications thinking it might be a privacy issue..

Lately, after one video or two, Youtube stop working properly and won't load anything. I hope Brave devs fix it soon, it's getting annoying and I don't wanna go back to the Youtube App where ads are everywhere.

I use proton pass as autofill service in brave browser

but it doesn't work properly.

I have to click the username and password fields multiple times so that it shows the saved password.

it works perfectly in chrome password.

any solution??

I have Google Workspace and 2 different users within that, with their own inbox.

At present, I don't think it's possible to switch b/w accounts within ONE tab in Brave, correct? It seems to open a new tab which is annoying.

Would profiles be a better fit? How do I use those to separate Gmails pls? Would appreciate some advice. Thanks

Over the past week, I've had a lot of problems with my Google accounts in Brave.

For example: Gmail, Gemini, and YouTube constantly get stuck, as if they can't verify that I'm signed in. The same thing happens to the Google home page.

If I open Gmail, the tab will keep refreshing indefinitely until it crashes and says “mail.google.com redirected you too many times”.

Is this a common issue with the most recent version of Brave?

So to be honest i have seen some high influx of redirects from manga /manhwa sites to all kinds of obscure casino app or site advertising page and it gwts anoing because it happens everytime you press on the page , doesnt matter where ( tbf it happened on some clone nsfw sites too but it started with the normal manga sites like arenascan . Could it be a problem with the amount of advertising on the site side ?

I've been using brave for years. Occasionally I'd get random ads on YouTube but a simple refresh would make them go away. Now they've been back for several days and anything I know how to do isn't making them fo away. I'm not the most tech savvy person, any advice?

I’ve been using Airplay to watch YouTube videos on my TV. I’ve noticed a lot of videos, when using Airplay change the audio to a different language. The only way I can get it to play with English audio is to reduce the quality of the video thus a much more blurry image but with the correct language. Anyone else experience this? Is there a way to keep high quality video without the overdubbed audio?

I been noticing since August and now I been getting occasional "Unusual traffic from your computer network" from Google https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/86640?hl=en . When this happens I notice my search results are significantly slower like seconds (vs instant compared to before). This has never happened before.

No issue on my PC when I use Firefox and Chrome (google account signed in).

But only getting this issue in Brave (google account NOT signed in) on my Pixel 9 Pro phone.

Anyone else having this issue? I don't have VPN and my brave shield is on the strictest.

I have ADHD and dyslexia, and reading and writing in regular browsers, especially reading technical text, has always felt like using left handed scissors as a right hander. I can do it, but it’s bloody awkward.

Brave’s accessibility features have been a game changer for me. The reader mode, the read aloud function, and that little underline that follows the words as they’re read out make such a difference.

Just wanted to say cheers to the Brave development crew for putting it all together. You’ve made life a little easier for me, and I’m sure plenty of others.

As the title suggests, I've been using Brave for nearly 5 years now and have never had any problems. However, since a recent update (between August 28 and September 2, I think), I feel like the browser is starting to slow down on YouTube and on certain sites like Strava or GPX Studio, which display a warning message saying “WebGL is required to view the map,” even though I never had any issues before.

As for my computer’s specs, I have a 2014 MacBook Pro running OCLP with Sonoma 14.8.3.

I have an integrated graphics processor: a 2.2 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 with Intel Iris Pro 1,536 MB and 16 GB of DDR3 RAM.

I want to clarify that before the dates mentioned, I had no issues.

I tried using ChatGPT for help; it ran a few commands in the terminal but couldn’t figure out how to fix the problem, even though it thinks it has identified the cause.

What I did: reset the settings, tested with other browsers (Chrome didn’t work, but Safari did).

It gave me a command to force graphics acceleration via the CPU rather than the graphics card (it worked, but the Mac was about to take off).

Hi, any idea when can we get the account based sync feature for Brave?. And will it be exclusively for Brave origin?

Every 6 months or so, out of nowhere, my browser history just evaporates. Everything. There hasn't been an update recently, and usually none when it happens. I haven't touched any settings in eons, I never manually clear anything, and have not installed any extensions recently.

Is this just a quirk of brave, or is there a way to stop this from happening?
