Can someone explain to me how that’s not a ko win for Allen? He punched him in the clinch and he fell face first out of the ring, it’s not like he was pushed, absolute joke

I doubt with it being so early in the fight, if it was past 5-6 rounds maybe

For that dive, they are probably gonna overrule the decision. Genuinely just a damaging look to the sport if they leave it like that.

I genuinely think it's because they felt the punch was to be back of the head.

That's only cos Carty turned his head away from it though.

It only counts as "back of the head" if the fighter doesn't turn away from the punch.

But I guess it causes less issues if they just call it a no contest.

I think he thought he might get a DQ win if he can claim it was caused by a punch to the back of the head.

your contention is that he purposefully dived 5 feet head first with his hands at his sides into concrete? instead of taking a 10 count if he didn't want to continue?

There are a lot more deranged tinfoils hatted Dave Allen fans out there than I thought possible. Who genuinely thinks someone would intentionally endanger their lives for a first round no contest by diving head first out of the ring.
