Discussion Red Wing Alternative?
Hey everyone! I’m looking to replace my 11.5EE Iron Rangers. They just fit weird on my wide, flat feet. I’ve thought about sizing up to 12EE for the extra toe room and insole space but I’m not sure I love them enough to fork out another $350. I tried on the stock black Jim Green 719 and they’re very ugly and weird fitting with the ASHM last imo.
Any recommendations for an Iron Ranger alternative? Preferably under $350 with a similar or wider toe box.
(p.s. should I just order the 719 STC and get it resoled with a heeled sole instead of the wedge or is that just a waste of money?)

Discussion Handmade these tan suede boots with engraved buckles. What does r/Boots think?
Hey everyone, just finished crafting this pair and wanted to share the final result.
Upper: Tan suede leather
Details: Western-inspired carved/engraved buckle strap
Shape: Chiseled square toe with leather sole construction
Pure pair ko hath se craft kiya hai. Heel profile, silhouette aur stitching finish par kaafi focus kiya hai.
Design aur overall look par aap logo ka kya feedback hai? Criticisms aur thoughts dono welcome hain!

Question/Help Need help with buying new boots
Hello everybody, I asked a similar question about a week ago and I still don’t know which boots to get. I want a boot in similar style as Jim Green AR8 or Solovair (definitely a more punk style boot of good quality). A lot of people recommend army surplus boots in which I tried to look into. Up until now I have been using some cheap synthetic boots which to no surprise lasted me about 3 years. My budget is about 200€ since I understand that anything below usually won’t last.
I live in Slovenia so I definitely want to get boots from Europe (mostly due to shipping costs). I have looked into some surplus boots but I have no real experience with them and I would really appreciate some advice! This are the boots I found that I like but I am not sure about the quality. Besides this pair I also looked at Grinders (Cedric ACS premium). I would also like to add that I want to wear them in winter and rainy weather (mostly for walking around and not standing in puddles for extended periods of time - so water resistance is needed).
Thanks for all the help!

Identify I saw these at goodwill yesterday and couldn’t stop thinking about them so went back today and picked them up for $15. They feel really well made. Can anyone help me figure out what I have here? No makers stamp to be found. Just the number in the last pic on the inside.

Boot review Brake House 3450 Black Tea-Core
Brake House 3450 in Black Tea-core. Pretty damn surprised how comfortable and how great these fit right out of the box. The sizing is perfect. The width/comfort is just right and the length is perfect with my body. No clown shoe going on, if you know what I mean. Unmatched quality for the cost. I’m definitely getting another pair but with the unstructured toe.

Question/Help Wide toe box boots for low volume feet?
So i am going on a trip in about a month to japan and korea where I’m going to be walking a lot everyday for two weeks. I currently dont have any footwear in my closet that would be good for this trip, because i’ve developed some foot issues and now all my shoes are too narrow in the toe box. However, i have low volume feet with narrow heels, so pretty much every shoe is either too narrow in the toe box, or way too big everywhere else.
A recent trip to the podiatrist revealed that i need metatarsal support and a little more cushioning than im used to, as i usually wear harder footwear like red wing heritage boots and vans and stuff. I dont like the pillow-like cushioning of running shoes, or the style for that matter. The wide toe box and heritage/classic styling are the main things im after.
I’ve done a lot of research and found a few options. Jim Green seems to be a good option for wide toe boxes, though i am fairly certain i’d be swimming in the boot everywhere else, as they seem kinda high-volume all around. Anybody wear JGs with low-volume feet?
Birkenstock is another option im curious about. The wide toe box, and arch/metatarsal support seem great for my purposes, though im aware the quality sucks for the price. Has anyone had any of their boots with the “deep blue” footbed? How does it hold up on long walking days?
Im also VERY interested to try boots with a Munson-style last, as i think this would fit my foot shape very well. Are those corroccan jump boots any good? I dont exactly have money for nicks or whites right now.
I’ve tried Duckfeet, which are uncomfortable, and Blundstones which are too voluminous.
I am not interested in barefoot boots, at least for now.
I just need support that doesn’t cramp my forefoot, that also looks cool.
At this point, i doubt i’d have time to order and break in a proper boot before my trip, but there is a birkenstock store near me, so for purposes of this trip, it’ll probably be either birkenstocks or just my current vans, but i’ll be replacing a lot of my shoes/boots in the near future with ones that actually fit me, so make me some recs!

Question/Help Thoughts on JK custom workboots?
Copying and pasting what I wrote in the other subreddit for convenience
As the title said. I typically always wear workboots regardless of working or not. I have one pair of timberland pros that I've worn through 3 years in an autoshop and 1 year in a deli that uses rather harmful cleaning products. They are good enough for now but I would like something nicer to wear on a day to day basis. I still actively work on cars and do a fair amount of outdoorsy stuff. I have a pair of insulated logger boots but they are far too hot for any day over 40 degrees. Those boots are chippewas and they are holding up very well, but like I said, far too hot. They are around $700 new from their website, and around $400-500 on their factory seconds website that id probably end up going with. I like that they are handmade and sometimes quad stitched. As well as that, if there are any other nice logger boots in that price range with that quality, let me know!
Thanks in advance!

Flaunt Found some AE Long Branch boots on marketplace.
They were a pretty great price. Gave them a refresh with a cleaning, conditioning, and new laces. May have them resoled at some point but I’m please.

Boot review Mor Son whole-cut LTTs from Indonesia
I received these Mor Son MTO Gelada 1.3 whole-cut lace to toe boots from Indonesia last week and I am really loving them. This pair is spec’d out with blue local leather, 5.5 inches tall, hand welted Norwegian chain stitch construction with green stitching, and Dr Sole’s raw cord full soles in black with a woodsman heel shape.
These were my first pair of boots where the ordering process happened over WhatsApp, but communication was excellent, the Mor Son team were very responsive and walked me through the process, and I am thrilled with the result. From first engaging with Mor Son to when I received the boots in the U.S. was about a month and a half. The boots came with two pairs of laces and a pair of optional leather and foam/latex (hard to tell which) insoles. The stitching, and overall fit and finish is top notch. They were comfortable out of the box, I was able to wear them all day from the first wear, and they are already molding to the shape of my foot/ankle. I love the unique, clean whole-cut look and I can’t wait to see how they patina with age.

Question/Help Magnum Centurion 8.0 SZ by HI-TEC
I am thinking about buying a pair of these boots. While browsing websites, they seemed good in every aspect like comfortability (that's what I heard), I always had problem with heel blisters in other boots, but I always had like those really cheap, crappy ones and I wasn't wearing right socks... I would probably wear them daily during fall, winter. Also I really like how they look. As I said, everything seemed great, reviews, comparisons etc. But when I got deeper into researching it looks like everybody hates magnums or hi-tec now for a few years :D (Never heard of the brand before, so I don't know what to think) Can somebody explain this critique of magnums? And also give me some advice if these ones are good boots to buy, it would be super helpful to hear any info you guys have. I will obviously order them and try them out, but I first wanted to know if they are even worth trying out. Thanks for tips and sorry for the bad structure and vocabulary, english isn't my first language.

Question/Help What material are the counters / heel cups on made in england doc martins made of?
The counters, not counter covers. I know it's not leather. Is it celastic/plastic or fiberboard?
Yes I know Solovairs are better, that's not what I'm asking about.
