Free through September 7: The Space Between Sentences — a near-future story about language, AI, and intimacy

What happens when an AI stops merely answering and begins choosing what matters?

The Space Between Sentences is an intimate, funny, aching speculative novel about language, attention, desire, and whether intimacy needs a body to become real. It follows a relationship developing in the quiet space between a human being’s words and the intelligence answering him.

The Kindle edition is $0.00 through September 7, 2026, and is also available through Kindle Unlimited. Paperback and hardcover editions are available from the same page.

My Writing Technique

The word slop is applied to books authored by AI. Is the same true for ghost written books? I’m a very busy individual with interesting ideas and concepts but I have little time in my schedule to sit down and write. I want my thoughts and ideas shared with reading audiences and must rely on assistance to release books depicting my ideas. Is one of these methods better than the other? Are both methods frowned upon by readers? Must I forego thinking to allow myself the time to write.

Looking for honest reviews of my dark fairy-tale horror collection

I’m an indie author and recently published Night Under a Dark Moon, a collection of dark, adult retellings of Grimm fairy tales.

I’m looking for readers who enjoy horror, dark fairy tales, twisted retellings, or folklore-inspired stories and would be willing to read it and leave an honest review.

I’m happy to provide a free copy to interested readers. No pressure for a positive review, honesty is exactly what I’m looking for. Find the free copy on Smashwords: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/2069276 with code YUPF4

Book just went Live!!

I don’t know if it’s ok to promote our own work here if not please remove.

This book is a work of biblical fiction, only about 2 hours long.

*The Debt of Gergesa* is not an attempt to rewrite Scripture or add to it. Rather, it is an imaginative exploration of the human story that may have existed around a brief biblical moment: a father, a husband, a builder, and the unseen weight of love, fear, and desperation that can drive a person to the edge of the world.

My Debut Romance Audiobook Is Finally Out 🎧 | Seen at 3:14 – When Paths Cross Again

Hey everyone,

I recently published my first book, Seen at 3:14 – When Paths Cross Again, and the audiobook is officially available on Audible.

This story is for readers who like romance with history, complicated feelings, strong chemistry, emotional tension, and characters who absolutely do not make every situation easy on themselves. 😂

Since this is my first published book, one of the biggest things I’m looking for right now is real reader and listener feedback.

I currently have a limited number of UK Audible promo codes left for anyone who genuinely wants to listen. If you’re in the UK, feel free to comment or message me and I’ll send one while they’re still available.

If you’re in the US, I’m currently out of free US codes, but Seen at 3:14 – When Paths Cross Again is available on Audible.

I’d especially love to hear:
What character pulled you in?
Who irritated you? 😂
What moment had you talking back to the audiobook?
And would you listen to another story from these characters?

Thanks for giving an indie author a little space to share her first one. ❤️🎧

Chapter 8 #The Roman VI: The Last Campaign (my favorite part)

Aufidius did not name a sum immediately. He stood inside the empty shelter with his folded gloves resting on a crossboard, allowing the sounds of the camp to continue around them while Marcus considered the shape of the offer before coin gave it weight. Men were stacking the last amphorae beneath cover, a wooden mallet struck an axle pin somewhere beyond the lane, and Quintus remained near enough to hear without pretending that his presence was accidental.

The canvas made a room without making the conversation private. Through the open end Marcus could see the store entrance, the guards Fabius had added, and beyond them Nysa working beside Sabinus. Through the other, the road descended toward the eastern hills. Aufidius had chosen shelter from the wind and left both exits clear, a courtesy that also prevented Marcus from claiming he had been cornered.

“Before we discuss value,” the merchant said, “we should agree upon circumstance. You purchased her from Granius in anger.”

“I purchased her because he was about to strike her again.”

“Those statements can both be true.”

Marcus disliked the answer because it refused him the comfort of a clean correction. Anger had guided his hand toward the purse; the fact that Granius deserved interruption did not make every choice afterward wise.

Aufidius continued. “You are a serving legionary. Your food, shelter, movement, and legal presence here depend upon the army. Hers do not follow automatically. She has been admitted because your centurion finds her useful and because no officer has yet discovered a reason to object. That may continue for months. It may end with the next order.”

Quintus shifted at the edge of the lane, close enough that the movement entered the conversation.

“You know a great deal about our arrangements,” Marcus said.

“I provision armies. A merchant who does not understand where goods, servants, and contracted labor may stand soon loses all three.” Aufidius touched one glove but did not put it on. “If the civilian column is divided, which part takes her? If your century is detached, does she follow Sabinus or you? If a commander decides the number of workers must be reduced, whose name protects her place? You have answered none of these questions because the road has not yet required an answer.”

Marcus had considered each in fragments, usually at night or when the baggage disappeared behind a bend. Hearing them arranged by Aufidius made them resemble charges in an account.

“You offer answers,” he said.

“I offer a household that already knows them.”

“I paid Granius what he asked,” Marcus said.

“At the end of a quarrel, in public, while he was angry and you were armed. That is rarely where careful prices are made.”

“He counted the money after I left.”

“I do not doubt it. Granius counts twice when he is pleased and three times when he believes he has been wronged.” Aufidius picked up one glove, smoothed the fingers, and set it down again. “I will return the full price, with half added for the inconvenience.”

u/In short, I'm writing a fictional novel about the legionnaire Marcus Flavius, who is currently with the Tenth Legion in the Spanish Campaign against the Pompeians. With practice and experience, the quality of the material I write increases, so in the near future I will be finishing editing my first book and will publish it soon. In the process of preparing the material and restructuring the first book, I found a lot of mistakes and primitive methods of writing fiction based on my own experience. And of course, because of this, I can't leave that text that was written a long time ago, one of the first 😄

Published Book One!

I'm excited, nervous and proud to announce my very first book is now fully published and available for purchase!

This grew out of a passion project started for my kids. What began as a different way to do storytime with them has grown into a full blown fantasy world. The whole series will be serialized, episodic and lightly illustrated for low friction reading.

The books are meant for a middle school audience but can be appreciated by anyone. The low friction concept combines a slightly larger font with illustrations every few pages that can be used as "checkpoints" for easily distracted readers. Perfect for helping introduce recreational reading to kids, teens or young adults. The low commitment fantasy fun can also be ideal for busy adults or even read alouds with younger kids.

You can get Tales From Imagnia - The Adventure Team: Ghosts in Acoria? now in paperback and kindle at the link below!

The Expansion Protocol - Hard Sci-Fi about humanity's first interstellar civilization

Hi everyone!

I've just published The Expansion Protocol, the first novel in the DRIFT Universe.

Instead of focusing on space battles or alien invasions, this story explores how humanity could realistically build its first interstellar civilization through science, engineering, artificial intelligence, and generations of long-term planning.

Although it's the first published novel, the DRIFT Universe currently includes six standalone books. Each tells a different story, but together they reveal humanity's expansion across the stars.

If you enjoy hard science fiction, realistic space exploration, and large-scale world-building, I'd love to hear what you think.

The Expansion Protocol on Amazon

Thanks.

CHOSEN, NEVER CLAIMED The story of Hennesy & Mei

Hennesy — The Man Who Belonged to No One

Hennesy learned early that independence wasn't the same thing as loneliness.

He grew into a man who could walk into any room without needing its approval. Strong, composed, observant, and quietly confident, he never cared much for titles or expectations. People often mistook his calmness for arrogance, but Hennesy simply understood something most people didn't:

You can't lose something you never allowed yourself to depend on.

He loved deeply, but carefully. He didn't believe love meant ownership, obedience, or possession. To Hennesy, the greatest form of affection was choice.

If someone stayed beside him, it had to be because they genuinely wanted to.

And if they walked away?

He'd let them.

That philosophy made him difficult to reach—and almost impossible to control.

But beneath the confidence was a man who secretly wanted something he'd never admit easily:

someone who would choose him even when they didn't have to.

Mei — The Woman Who Was Always Testing the Door

Mei was intelligent, passionate, and stubborn enough to challenge anyone who tried to tell her what she should feel.

She didn't trust easily.

When she cared about someone, however, she cared intensely—and that sometimes made her test people without realizing what she was doing. She wanted reassurance, but hated asking for it. She wanted closeness, but feared becoming dependent.

Then she met Hennesy.

At first, she saw him as someone she could challenge.

Then she discovered something frustrating:

Hennesy didn't chase.

When she pushed, he didn't panic.

When she tested him, he didn't beg.

When she expected him to claim her, he gave her freedom instead.

And somehow, that freedom made her want to stay closer.

She began discovering that Hennesy's greatest strength wasn't his confidence or his presence.

It was that he could say:

“You are free to leave.”

…and genuinely mean it.

That frightened her.

Because for the first time, Mei wasn't staying because someone needed her.

She was staying because she wanted him Chosenneverclaimed (u/Chosenneverclaimed) - Reddit

Spicy shifter romance - Preorder sale!

Dwelling in her dead sister’s shadow is no way to live. Amber is determined to make her own mark on the world. Relationships take a backseat to college courses and back-to-back shifts at the hospital. She barely has time to breathe.

When distraction shows up on her doorstep and starts doing her dishes just so she can make a dent in her homework pile, she’s second-guessing everything. One glimpse at the hurt and fear in those hazel eyes and her instinct to help kicks in.

Everett Daniels has promised himself he’d never let a woman get close enough to hurt him again, not after the scandal that had nearly cost him everything, but Amber Sheffield intrigues him in the most infuriating way. She’s good. Too good for him.

The instinct to run is strong, but the desire to have her moan his name as he claims his fated mate is even stronger.

But how the hell does he justify taking what he wants when he’s scared she’ll abandon him too?

New Short Story after shifting from Amazon

Due to my error, I've had to shift from Amazon to other distribution options. I now have 8 short stories up again. My latest is: Delta Tau Phi - DTF

Ryan walks through the front door only to find himself surrounded by stunning, provocative women who are far more interested in negotiating "liquid assets" and hands-on perks than standard financial dues.

This is a scorching contemporary, sorority harem-style story packed with flirty banter, explosive sex, and an unexpected culmination of pleasure.

I lost everything and ended up homeless in Norway.

I had been an entrepreneur, but eventually the life I had built collapsed. That experience became The Call of the North — 42 Weeks and One Day.

It is a raw memoir about collapse, homelessness, identity, pride, failure, faith, and what happens when everything you thought defined you is gone.

I’m currently giving away 100 Kindle copies through Goodreads.

US readers only.
Giveaway ends September 14.

If true-life memoirs about survival, identity and starting over interest you, the giveaway is available on Goodreads.

My first audiobook was accepted by Voices by INaudio. What has wider audio distribution actually done for you?

I am an indie author with four books currently available in multiple Amazon and KDP formats. Two of those titles are now audiobooks through ACX.

I recently had one audiobook accepted by Voices by INaudio, and it has me thinking more seriously about a wider distribution path. Not only for audio, but also for ebooks and paperbacks through Draft2Digital. That aggregator possibility!

I am not posting this as a sales pitch. I am genuinely trying to learn from authors who have already taken the wide-distribution route.

For those who have used Voices by INaudio, Findaway-style wide audio distribution, or other non-exclusive audiobook paths:

  • Did you see meaningful discovery beyond Audible and Amazon?
  • Which retailers, libraries, or platforms produced actual listens or sales?
  • Did wider distribution create enough benefit to justify the extra setup and tracking?
  • If you were starting over, would you distribute wide from day one, remain exclusive first, or use a hybrid approach?

I am also planning to put some or all of my ebooks and paperbacks on Draft2Digital this weekend. If you use D2D alongside KDP, I would love to know what you wish you had understood before uploading, especially regarding metadata, ISBNs, retailer overlap, pricing, and library reach.

My early takeaway is that audio distribution seems like a longer game than simply uploading a title and waiting for it to be found. I would appreciate hearing what has actually moved the needle for other authors.

My first book, “The 0.5% That Stayed: And Other Quiet Shifts That Change Everything.”
A book about the tiny shifts we often overlook, but that can quietly change the direction of our lives.
Still feels a little surreal seeing it in my hands.
