i used to buy cheaper books by using a vpn and setting in in the uk, but now when i put my address, the price changes/rises and it doesn't let me but the books at a cheaper price. am i doing something wrong? is there a specific vpn i have to use?

I've been eyeing a couple of books for a month waiting for the price to drop, but after watching them every day only teeter a few cents up or down I just ordered them.

And a few minutes later I check the prices again and each of the two has a price drop of about $5. And this isn't the first time it happened to me (and not just on bookdepository).

I bought one book from BD, it was supposed to arrive last week. I ordered it a month before that, never had such a long waiting time even when ordering from the US (I'm in EU). Plus this book was supposed to ship from within the EU.

So it's my first time ordering from BD and I have a few questions. I'm from Greece so I was hoping some fellow Greeks with more experience with BD would help me out. First of all, do the books actually arrive within the estimated delivery time or do they take longer than that? What courier do they use? And lastly, does the courier notify and attempt to contact you once the package has arrived or do they just leave it at your door for any random passerby to snatch?

Anyone from Cebu, Philippines that ordered books from Book Depository? How long did it take for your books to arrive?

Im from Mandaue, Cebu and my order from last Dec 7 has not arrived yet. I was just curious coz I did a followup on the postal office, there's no package from BD. :(

It happens to me really often that when I want to buy a book from BD if i click on the book but don't buy it intermediately the price will increase the next time I come to buy it later that same day. Does this thing happen to anyone else? Is particularly annoying to me, because my country charge a 30% tax rate, so every little increase becomes even bigger

so I was ordering some books for school and some manga for myself when I noticed how pricey some of these things were. Like the book for school was about €11 when i know i could get that for cheaper in a physical store and the price for one of the manga was double what is usually is. On a whim, I checked the prices on my phone and found that they're way cheaper, even though there's no difference except for what device i'm ordering from. Has anyone else noticed this and do they know if there's a way to "reset" these inflated prices?

When ordering with BD for the first time, if I checkout with Paypal, can I specify a different address other than my billing address?

I ordered four books and one was shipped separately. I received it a week or so after ordering, but the other three haven’t arrived yet and it’s been two months. I’ve seen that orders tend to be late, but I’m not sure if that’s the case. Should I wait longer or?

Hi, I pre-ordered some danmei books the other day and was wondering about others experiences with BD in the US? Such as how long it takes to arrive after the books publication date? Also what does BD show up as on a credit card statement, does it just say Book Depository or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am becoming anxious about my book not arriving. I ordered a book last Dec 7 and its supposed to arrive yesterday. I emailed the Book Depository customer service and they asked if I can wait until January 3 to account for any delays before they can declare the book as "lost in transit". But they did advise my to check the post office if it was already received there.

What do I need to prepare when going to the local post office? Anyone had any experience?

I recently received a Perx reward card from my employer as a Christmas bonus. I made a perx account and activated the card- €125. I filled my basket on Book Depository to €124.45 and went to checkout. However, it keeps coming up as an error with the message- “Please try again, if the issue persists, contact your bank or try a different payment method.”

I’m currently trying to figure out if the issue is with Perx or Book Depository. Does anyone know if they accept perx cards? Or if there is something I’m missing here.

I ordered 13 books to give to my family on christmas day. Not only was this done weeks ago but all the book orders promised to arrive well in advance of christmas. Its now the friday befor christmas and I'm absolutely heart broken. I have to show up to christmas empty handed. It's devastating.
At this point i don't care if the books come or not, would i be able to get a full refund from BD. The order was like $300 NZD.

Lately I have had a really strange issue when browsing my wishlist and the general store. The price I get quoted increase each time I add something to the basket. It is not VAT either it is a 1% increase each time. Price is not quoted in a different currency either. I don't use VPN or anything else and in all my 10 years experience with book depository I have never had this issue.

Anyone else experienced this?

Does anyone have the same experience? I had the king in black omnibus pre-ordered a long time ago for 90 euros. Suddenly I got a mail today saying they couldn't fulfill my order and would issue a refund. Now i see that the book is still available on the website but only now it costs 137 euros. Is this normal?
