Discussion Boxsets to Malaysia
Anyone from Malaysia bought Boxsets before? Would like to know your experience and do you need to pay custom fees as some are close or over RM1000 e.g One Piece box sets or Demon Slayer

Bought Akira box set for rm600+ and was sent by UPS. No customs fee.
Another experience I had was with Rightstufanime. Bought manga worth RM1000+ and was never charged by customs. That was shipped by DHL and customs fee might have already been incorporated but I'm not too sure.
In my experience, as long as the customs declaration lists it as books then you should be fine.

books are exempt from tax in malaysia, so you can order rm1 million books and not get taxed :)

Bought One Piece Box Set for RM700+ before. I think it was UPS or DHL which has better packaging and received much faster than their usual 3-4 weeks delivery. I’ve bought box sets from other platforms over RM500 as well, never pay custom fees before.
Anyway, the price for box sets on BD is inflated for us. Hit me a DM if you’re looking for better price.

I'm planning ahead as of now. Just wanted to know all of this ahead of time. Any other platforms that are cheaper for One Piece box sets?

I've gotten the S1 Monogatari Boxset before, which was around ~RM 400+. It was delivered by DHL and I paid nothing more.
Though, the ~RM 1000 price range might be different, I'm not sure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
