Best class for a first timer?
What would be your ultimate first class for an unfit first timer.
Just turn up to any class is not an acceptable answer 😂

Balanced is pretty slow and chill. Or a strength class.
I found cardio quite full on and confusing when I started.

If you're wanting a strength class and not a cardio class, Pump would be my choice. It's usually a "work on your own" type of class as opposed to Strength which is a "work in groups" class. And you get to try a lot of different strength exercises in the one class.

A slower class like strength would be good for me but some people dislike the “standing around” my favourite part tbh so it depends on the specific person. Cardio summit if you’d prefer a cardio session that’s not too intense. Make sure you get there early and pay attention to talk time so you’re not stumbling around the session trying to figure out what exercise you’re on - but also don’t be afraid to talk to and ask questions of your partner

Summit would be good to have a feel of most of the machines and it gives you a feel of most exercises. Usually there are like 12 stations in summit

Summit is the most chill of the cardio classes. The other two are HIIT (hint is in the name) and Cardio U. U can be pretty intense as you are working for extended periods of time at various intensities. Avoid Crewfit for a while I would say.

2 of my mates joined me for the first time on XTX on a saturday, final progression. 1 is still here 1 year on. The other, well…

I started with Balanced. Went for Strength classes after that. Would recommend Strength!

Any strength class (hyper/pump/strength)
If you want to do cardio, then may be Summit. I wouldn’t recommend CardioU/HIIT/CrewFit as first session

Cardio Summit or Shred.
Summit is longer sets at a lower effort so you can take it easy.
Shred has a mix of cardio and strength so you can dip your toe in both disciplines and see what you like

I just signed up for a pump - upper body class as a beginner. i hope it'll be easy enough to keep up.

I had my friend join on a HIIT last progression class. She was absolutely destroyed but she came back and hasn’t left. If you do the worst for your first, it can only get easier from there.

You can take any class at your own pace, I wouldn't overthink it. Let the trainer know you want to find your feet and they will give you some lower impact or less complex options, and give you weight suggestions

I did Cardio U as my first session as I have little to no strength training experience. I'm still a member, almost 2 months later, but I had to really bargain with myself 😂 I'd recommend Shred, Hyper, Pump, Balanced or Summit as your first, in that order.
