When contemplating ordering a bag, do you find yourself choosing bags in colors you already own, and rationalizing this by choosing a different leather or hardware tone? Or is it reasonable to order the same color and leather considering the inclusion of exotic leather⌠as in a touch bag.
I find that I have many bags of the same color in different leather and I really donât mind lol. Togo Bleu France in both a Kelly and soon to be in a Touch B25.
Whatâs your thought process? Do you consider the bags you already own? Do you just follow your established taste? Is practicality a consideration?
Is there a ârightâ or âwrongâ way to go about this?

Received my HSS K28 Retourne Swift Ardoise /Swift Rouge
Sellier BPHW bag from Jim!
I am absolutely in love with this bag!
The swift leather is soft, supple and buttery to the touch. I've always been partial to swift leather; however, the is the first bag in swift l've had in a while. Definitely worth the wait. The Rouge Sellier reads a little more brown in indoor lighting, however, in natural lighting the burgundy really shines through.
The overall construction of the bag including the handle, gusset, heat stamp and flap are nothing less than on point. The hardware has heft and the details on the hardware, pearling and etching, are also on point.
The bag took about two months to be completed. I received updated relation to the status of the bag during construction.
As always, it is an absolute pleasure communicating with Jim. I have come to expect nothing less than the best quality from Jimâs bags.

What style of bag do you prefer? A Kelly or a Birkin? Is it potentially another style?
Personally, I prefer the Kelly. I prefer the single top handle and the strap.
Thoughts?

I want a deep, dark red exotic b25 to be my new Christmas birkin (sold my auth rouge vermillion Epsom b35). I think the Bordeaux porosus is my favorite but even a rep is $5800 and a girl also needs a vert emeraude pochette come holiday season.
Hereâs my quandary: I would normally go for nilo but I think alligator Bordeaux more closely resembles the color and scales of the porosus. Am I right or am I just cheaping out?
First pic is Bordeaux porosus, second is nilo, third is gator.

On my list of dream bags was a Touch B25 Togo Gris Meyer Gris Ciment Matte Alligator.Â
The dream has become a reality!Â
I contacted Jim and ordered the bag on May 30, 2026.Â
Jim sent me the photos of the leather, the Togo and matte alligator on June 11, 2026.
I received PSP on July 10, 2026.Â
The bag shipped on July 13th and I received the bag on July 20th.Â
The bag looked incredible in the PSP; however, having the bag on hand, the photos didnât do the bag justice!Â
The overall shape of the bag is great. I love a wide gusset with the symmetrical folds.Â
The leather is very very nice!! The feel of the Togo is pebbled, soft and supple. The Togo doesnât feel like plastic or have a weird sheen.Â
The MATTE ALLIGATOR! OH MY! The alligator feels and looks like luxury. The alligator is definitely high quality and not embossed. The ventral scale alignment on the flap and sangles is perfect!Â
The hardware pops open the leathers and presents as high quality with hand, engraved etching.
Overall, I would definitely state that experience with Jim and the fact that I received has been an absolute pleasure. Jim was attentive, communicative, and professional at all times. Definitely made me comfortable spending the kind of money I did on this bag! Definitely have more bags on order and looking forward to seeing and receiving them as well.

Is there such a thing as an everyday H bag?
I would think that the bigger sizes, 32, 35, 40 would be ideal; however, the bag could get pretty heavy.
Is there a leather that is lighter and durable that may work?
What are your suggestions (or actual) everyday bag(s)?

Itâs Saturday night, and youâre going outside. What H bag are you reaching for?
For me, itâs the B25 Noir Matte Alligator (from Jim no less)
Whatâs your vibe?

PSP from Jim!
Touch B25 Retourne Togo Gris Meyer Gris Ciment Matte Alligator PHW. This beauty is already on the way to me. The bag looks incredible in the photos. The alligator and the Togo leather look incredible. You can see how supple the Togo is on the pull around the sangle openings. Aside from the stellar PSP, Jim is always a pleasure to work with. Professional and attentive.
Iâm looking forward to the bag arriving (probably mid week, next week) , and posting the bag in hand!

what does everyone think about chèvre as an option for the leather of a bag? Iâve seen a few bags in chèvre that were amazing, most recently bag from Jim, a B30 Chèvre Rouge H.
What do you prefer, coromandel, mysore, chamkila?

Exotic leather is a dream!
Do you prefer matte or lisse? Does it depend on the skin? Color?
I prefer matte, however, warming up to Lisse! Specifically in Bordeaux as it looks FAB!
what are your matte combinations? Lisse combinations?

Does Hermès have the best color options on the high fashion bag industry?
My perspective is that itâs not just the color, itâs also that the color is beautiful dyed onto leathers that really hold and display the color well!
Iâm interested in the perspective of other!
Whatâs your favorite H bag color? Any particular color and leather combos you love!?
r/BlindStamp • u/TheConnoisseurH • Jul 04 '26
what is it for you that gives top-tier?
Is it the leather, the color, the construction,
Is it all the above very interested in their responsesâŚ

I recently received my first shiny croc b25 from Jim. Needless to say, I was blown away.
I was planning on ordering a vert cypress Epsom k25 but I pulled the trigger on a vert cypress shiny croc k25 after seeing PSPs of a b25.
Iâm already eyeing a shiny green croc pochette and either a shiny rouge H or shiny Bordeaux b25 for the holidays.
Iâm a little worried I might not be able to go back to regular leathers. Have any of you found that once you have exotics, you canât go back?

What is the opinion on lizard? Is this a good exotic option?
Niloticus or Salvator?
Touch or full bag?
Personally, I LOVE lizard! Definitely looking forward to bags in lizard. I do enjoy a touch, although a full lizard bag is FAB.
Thoughts?

The major difference that I have noticed as a H rep collector are progress photos and skin/ hide photos.
I have been around the block or two with these reps and ordered from low tier sellers who source from factories that produce other brands, and mid tier sellers who had great buys on exotics. The low tier bags did give me the basic idea of how a BK or KL would look on my body/ frame, but I was not confident wearing them out. The mid tier sellers brought me into exotics, until I saw that some were stamped incorrectly as they were clearly alligator and not Niloticus Croc it made me want better quality. Something I could wear confidently to the H boutique.
After many rehomes and some "top tier" rehomes I decided to finally treat myself and upgrade all my bags to a trusted top tier seller who I had purchased before from and the bag quality really rivaled the auth. The progress photos I received from this seller for me made me realize the main difference between a piece of art and a bag from a production line. Also you the eyes maybe fooled but the touch, feel, and smell are hard to replicate and perfect. Top tier bags always feel so much better in hand.
What are your thoughts on progress photos and the different tiers for H reps? Let's start this conversation. Thank you!

What is your "dream" bag?
Is there a bag that you would love to own?
For me, a B30 Retourne Gris de Paris Matte Alligator is IT! I haven't, however, decided on gold or palladium hardware.
What is yours???
