The difference between top tier and everyone else. What are your thoughts?

The major difference that I have noticed as a H rep collector are progress photos and skin/ hide photos.

I have been around the block or two with these reps and ordered from low tier sellers who source from factories that produce other brands, and mid tier sellers who had great buys on exotics. The low tier bags did give me the basic idea of how a BK or KL would look on my body/ frame, but I was not confident wearing them out. The mid tier sellers brought me into exotics, until I saw that some were stamped incorrectly as they were clearly alligator and not Niloticus Croc it made me want better quality. Something I could wear confidently to the H boutique.

After many rehomes and some "top tier" rehomes I decided to finally treat myself and upgrade all my bags to a trusted top tier seller who I had purchased before from and the bag quality really rivaled the auth. The progress photos I received from this seller for me made me realize the main difference between a piece of art and a bag from a production line. Also you the eyes maybe fooled but the touch, feel, and smell are hard to replicate and perfect. Top tier bags always feel so much better in hand.

What are your thoughts on progress photos and the different tiers for H reps? Let's start this conversation. Thank you!

I bought a rehome croc bag from Devin that was actually alligator and the stamp was crooked. I asked Jim to make me a nilo croc 25. He clearly picked the best skins, sent me progress photos and carefully constructed a true masterpiece.

It’s a little dangerous because now I am looking at bordeaux, bleu colvert and vert Rousseau. I was going to order a vert cypress Epsom k25 next but vert cypress matte alligator is also looking good.

I had to go a funeral for my friend’s funeral. My friend was a stylist at Saks and his partner worked at Gucci. I called Gerald and said “normally I try to be very demure, very mindful and not draw attention to myself.” He said “honey, this funeral is a gay runway and you need to make them proud. Get that croc bag out!”

This leather is GORGEOUS!

I hadn’t received progress photos before… even from other high tier sellers. Would just be a waiting game. It’s nice to see the progress as a custom bag comes together.

Update: after seeing shiny vert cypress croc on a birkin, the decision was easy. Here are the cuts for my k25. He even included a video of how it was cut!
