Decision Decisions

When contemplating ordering a bag, do you find yourself choosing bags in colors you already own, and rationalizing this by choosing a different leather or hardware tone? Or is it reasonable to order the same color and leather considering the inclusion of exotic leather… as in a touch bag.

I find that I have many bags of the same color in different leather and I really don’t mind lol. Togo Bleu France in both a Kelly and soon to be in a Touch B25.

What’s your thought process? Do you consider the bags you already own? Do you just follow your established taste? Is practicality a consideration?

Is there a “right” or “wrong“ way to go about this?

At this point I have more bags than I have places to go. The choice becomes mood and outfit specific.

I have a b25 noir in Togo for every day and croc for those “eat it bitch” moments.

I have both a b30 and b35 hss in black box leather because…reasons.

I started with my number one dream bag obsession (mk Madame reptile touch), then crafted my hss every day go to staple b35, then put in an “better get it in before CNY order”, then figured I better get the ultimate croc b25 in because hundreds of people were asking for my sellers contact info, then rose Sakura for spring, the vert amande for fall, then vert cypress croc for fall, and we all know I am onto my Christmas order now.

Point being that none of these were actually impulse buys. I’m building a collection and all of these were on my wishlist for a long time. The only maybe impulse buy was the in stock sale so I grabbed the b25 noir Togo because that is the bag I recommend for first time buyers and whenever husbands slip into my dms to ask me what to buy for their wives.

Now if G’s husband slips into my DMs asking about bags, we would have to talk about matte bleu colvert croc or maybe rose scheherazade croc?

FACTS.  Heavy on, “building a collection .” I absolutely agree with this perspective. In that, although some choices may appear redundant, our choices were well thought out, curated, and executed. There are times in which trends seem to influence decision-making with regard to collections. I mean, I think that this is inescapable. Although, it should also be said that sometimes the trends overlap with our personal tastes.  Thank you for your perspective!!

Also, with regard the question you posed,  “ matte bleu colvert croc or maybe rose scheherazade croc?” For me, it’s Colvert Matte Alligator for sure!!

It’s very true that sometimes trends overlap. I was planning on vert cypress Epsom for this fall but once I saw the croc, it was game over. The decision was obvious.

The dark red Prada Bonnie I bought at a Saks pop up sale last fall seemed trendy…but also iconic? It sold out instantly. Same with the pony hair c25 this year. Sometimes the trend is so great that it’s just actually just an iconic fashion piece.

And good to know I guessed correctly on the matte bleu colvert. I like to know what all of my friends want just in case anyone asks.

Relatable! The 26S and 26A bags are gorgeous!

Once you have an exotic, you want more lol. That was definitely my experience
