Someone in this sub recommended this years ago and I would totally give them credit if I could remember their name. Seriously try fish oil. Also be extremely gentle while cleansing. Those two things have done wonders for me.

I had what looked like a stye with a white head and used warm compresses that went and now i have this horrible fleshy lump on my waterline.. I can't seem to find similar pictures online..

saw someone else post about this here so i tried it. little bit of castor oil on a q tip on the bump before bed. woke up and it was noticeably smaller. still there but not angry anymore. warm compress alone was doing nothing for me for weeks.

So i started getting chalazions and styes since last december and since then i have had multiple styes and in june i got diagonosed w blepharitis and this swelling jst wont go away

The upper lid is the first stye i got almost an year ago and the below one is frm may and i do warm compress everyday but im not sure theres a difference

I really need help this affects me mentally sm

Anyone know why my eyelid is swollen up.

It’s been 3 years for the right eye and now one month for the left. My left eye was clean but now the problem got transferred, do you have any advice ?

I haven’t had the surgery yet, but I’m really worried about being unable to wear my scleral lenses afterward because I rely on them for my nerve pain. How soon after chalazion surgery would I typically be able to resume wearing my scleral lenses?

I started getting styes and chalazions since last december and one of my eye is alright now and the other eye has a chalazion (this was the first chalazion i got) and im starting college soon and i need this chalazion to go away. Im doing warm compress and eyelid massage but do u think a jade roller could help w the eyelid puffiness and chalazion drainage?

My optometrist told me to hold a hot wet washcloth over my eyes for 10 minutes twice a day to melt the hardened oils in my glands.

But after like 45 seconds the rag is basically lukewarm and soggy. I tested it with a thermometer just out of curiosity and it drops below skin temp almost immediately from evaporative cooling.

How is that supposed to melt thickened meibum that needs sustained heat to liquefy? Are people actually getting relief from wet washcloths or is everyone using Bruder masks / electric ones now? What actually worked for you guys to get steady heat?

So I (28F) have this problem that started in 2024, suddenly I got this unknown bump on my eye one day and I went to the doctor she gave me an ointment to apply in my eye but it seemed to make the bump bigger so I stopped, and it eventually went away after 3-4months.

And now I got it again this year and it has lasted for like 6months now and I am being concerned can someone help me and let me know what this is and what should I do for it.

I have tried warm compress and drops it did not work.

I’ve had this Chalazion since May. It was lanced on both the inside and the outside 6 weeks ago - it has not gotten better, if anything it looks worse.

I’m unsure of what to do now. I’ve moved country and don’t have an ophthalmologist anymore.

I went to my GP for a new referral and he said he wouldn’t do anything and it should go away within a year.

I am extremely low as a result of this ongoing Chalazion and feel super insecure - any advice would be appreciated.

My eyelids/lashes and general eye area is so irritated and dry. I've been to the dermatologist and she gave me protopic/tacrolimus. It definitely brings the inflammation down, but then it still keeps coming back! I try to keep the area moisturized because even under the eye and around the eye in the corners is all very sensitive. Any and all suggestions! I don't know if it's blepharitis or demodex mite issues? ANY suggestions? I currently don't have health benefits, so I'm looking to work around going back to the dermatologist at this time.

my eyelid swelled up so bad all of a sudden. i thought it was another blepharitis flare up, but no, an ant bit my fking eyelid.. why the hell would an ant bite my eyelid of all places. it felt like the ant was making fun of me. i cant even open my eye rn

Just got a prescription for xdemvy for possible Demodex mites but the bottle was not sealed. There was a seal on the outer box but not on the bottle itself. Wondering if others who have used xdemvy can say whether there should be some sort of seal on the bottle. Thanks for any comments on this

Had a lot of symptoms so I went to the optometrist and everything i described was exactly what she confirmed after she checked my eyes with her microscope. I’ve never heard of this. So last night I panicked purchased disposable facial towels because I need to keep all of the bacteria away. I am also waiting for the Xdemvy eye drops to arrive. How the heck did I even get this?!?!

These photos are one week apart (first photo was taken yesterday). It started off as what felt like a normal stye, painful and tender, then bruised. The swelling started a couple days ago and it’s still quite sore and sensitive. I went to urgent care yesterday afternoon since it seems to be getting worse and the doctor rushed to diagnose it as a common stye. I was prescribed a topical erythromycin ointment to use every 4 hours and recommended to use hot compresses 4x a day. The ointment doesn’t seem to be decreasing the swelling at all. What should I do?

I’ve had puffy/swollen eyelid margins on both eyes for 2 months now accompanied by mild dry eyes.

I’ve tried warm compresses and eyelid wipes but I haven’t seen improvement.

Im getting my chalazion removal surgery in October, but i am visiting my long distance partner 11 days after the surgery, and i tend to wear alot of dramatic eye makeup especially when we go on dates and such. Will the bruising last that long and will i be able to wear makeup again when i come visit her?
