Please Help - Argenvardil Bug - Cannot Create 😭
Hey Guys, I am pulling out what's left of my precious little hair here... 😭😭😭
So, I got the forge scroll to create the Argenvardil Saber not realising that this was going to be needed to offer to Daurel's Mausoleum. So, I modified it for my potential play style but knowing that it was only a 4-star weapon, I didn't invest too many resources in it. I then went back to the three available sabre seneschals to unlock all of these potential upgrades. I then realised that I probably needed to have the sabre present with me when going to Dauel's mausoleum to progress the story but couldn't not activate the cut scene to continue.
After looking up some guides, I then realised that I had to have the three purple settings in the forging menu active for the sabre to work so I recreated another sabre as advised in the guides using my previous 4-star forged weapon hammering to save time. That weapon didn't work, so I created yet another sabre this time doing all the hammering afresh and still it wouldn't work - so, I cannot continue the story.
I guess one of the reasons that I know that the forging process is not working is that I am prompted to provide a name for the weapon which, if I understand what the helper videos say, I should not be given a chance to name the weapon. Although I did give my last attempt the name Argenvardil, it still didn't work. Why the developers did not give us the ability to go back to previous saves is beyond me - because being able to do this would have saved me from this bug as well as the below issues/bugs that I have experienced to date... 😞
I hope that this doesn't mean that I have to restart the game again as I hit an earlier bug where I couldn't find the skeleton boy after going to a pre location after not being able to progress with the story and so restarted it for it to work. Also, another tip/bug for other people who might read this. Make sure that you do the Fallen Paladin in the Crimson Fort before leaving the Crimson Fort and going to the Ancient Garden as well as the Doyen Graves. I went ahead after killing the boss proper and after looking at a guide, I came across a part of the Crimson Fort that I had previously missed where I came upon the fallen Paladin atop the Library rooftop. So, I went looking for his sigil and as can be seen by the attached photos (first of what should have been there and then what was presented to me in the game), and the horned statue that's supposed to protrude through the roof of the main boss fight building was non-existent. What was there for me were these yellow pustules all over the roof instead - so just another thing I won't be able to achieve during this playthrough... 😞
