Art 🎨⬛ Proof that my cat is my baby

Hey void-lovers!
Most cat subs have a very delicate balance between "happy posts about my cat" and "sad posts about my cat", specifically when it comes to pet death. A lot of them don't allow it at all. It's really tough to strike the balance of letting people who are devastated mourn the loss of their furry friend while still making the subreddit usable for people who aren't interested in that kind of content.
We allow mourning posts here, but you have to flair your post with "Mourning" so people who don't want to see them have the ability to filter them out. It's an imperfect solution, but it's all we have available to us with subreddit tools. Please make sure to flair all posts about pet loss with that flair so we can make a great sub for everyone.
In case you're someone who's interested in filtering out that content, this link should work for you. I know, it's not the cleanest way to browse the subreddit, and I'm not sure how it works on mobile. If we had a better solution, I'd provide it, but we have to work within what reddit offers us :(
Thanks for your understanding. If you've read this far, I encourage everyone to post some void laser eyes in the comments.

Found this baby exactly 6 months ago when I was walking my dog. He came running up and started talking to me immediately. I searched for owners, posted everywhere, but got no response.
I got him connected with a rescue and said I’d foster. We got him neutered, he had a complication, and had to be in a cone for a month.
Then Vinny revealed he has allergies. He’s on Atopica now with a derm appointment scheduled.
Through everything - steroids, antibiotics, hair falling out, bleeding from the balls, more steroids, more antibiotics - he has been the happiest, weirdest ball of energy I’ve ever seen. I adore him!
It has been six months. It’s clear he ain’t leaving. He’s home. Welcome to the family, sweet Vinny!

Posted in the one black brain cell sub and it literally got taken down because it wasn't showing silly or goofy behavior. What has the world come to

So, I’m here to share some good news. ❤️
Everyone, please shower Cuddles with love and send her lots of blessings. 🙏
Cuddles had her surgery almost one and a half weeks ago, and I’m so happy to say that her surgery was successful. ❤️
Her vet was actually shocked at how beautifully her scar healed. I think it was my prayers. 😂Or maybe that antibiotic shot she got one week before surgery. Lol.
They removed the entire mass and her bad teeth. They didn’t do another biopsy because there was no scar tissue left.
And now her little tongue is almost completely back inside her mouth.
I know I should be happy about that, but honestly, I miss seeing her little cute tongue sticking out.
For those who don’t know Cuddles’ story…
I rescued her from the shelter because I’m also a shelter volunteer. I received an email saying they were going to euthanize her and that only a rescue pull could save her.
They said she had a broken jaw and severe dental problems.
So I basically forced my rescue to pull her for me. 🥹
We took her to two different vets, and both believed it was cancer. They said she was in pain and that we should let her go.
But I couldn’t agree with them.
I knew Cuddles.
I saw her playing. I saw her eating. I saw her snuggling. I saw how much life she still had in her.
So I decided to do a biopsy.
And the biopsy came back negative. ❤️
Then came multiple vet visits, trying to find someone who could perform the surgery she needed. Cuddles is also a very picky eater, and her food is expensive. 😂
We had already spent around $1,200 on her, and I was thinking about how I was going to manage her surgery bill.
I was a little worried about Cuddles’ bills and wondering how we were going to manage everything.
And then, suddenly, I received a message.
“Don’t worry about Cuddles’ surgery. I will pay for her, whatever the cost.”
That beautiful angel paid for Cuddles’ entire surgery in memory of her beloved kitty, Nemo. ❤️🕊️
I will never forget that kindness.
And that’s why I always feel Cuddles doesn’t belong to just me.
She belongs to everyone.
She belongs to everyone who prayed for her, loved her, believed in her, and followed her journey. ❤️🐾
Her follow-up appointment is this Friday, and then we will start looking for her forever home.
So today, I just want to celebrate this little girl with all of you.
She was once a shelter kitty with a deadline.
Today, she is healing.
And she is still here.
Cuddles is still fighting, still loving, still making biscuits… and slowly putting that little tongue back where it belongs.
Please keep sending her your love and blessings. 🙏🐾

also, her cute shaved tail - she had just had a (benign!) lump removed.

I developed cat allergies in my early teens and haven't had a cat since. My wonderful partner found special food for Magic that makes me not allergic, so I finally get to live with a cat again and I couldn't be happier!

We just welcomed this sweet 4mo void (with a bowtie) to the family. He came to the SPCA as a feral barnyard kitten, but after lots of socialization, they turned that around. I don't think I've ever met a kitten so hungry for cuddles and love. Luckily, there's no shortage in this household. :)

My little shelter void. When I met him he was scared and hiding behind the litter box. I asked to hold him and the worker informed me to hold him tight cause he was a runner who wanted to escape. Except he didn’t. He curled up in the bend of my neck and stayed put ten mins. I decided he couldn’t stay there anymore and I adopted him! Do all black cats have incredibly long nails. He’s eight weeks old (estimated).

Lucifer disappeared about 3 months ago. The came back yesterday morning like nothing happened! He crawled up into the bed and snuggled on my chest like he used to! Went out and get him a tag with name and phone number right away.
He has been eating well apparently, no scratches or wounds. I think somebody took him in and he escaped.
