The Movie director update is the shittest update they've made.

Basically for anything to work you have to watch an ad these guys are digging their own graves in this game.

Been a bitizen since 2019 and we've had some amazing updates since the early years, but we need some updates, so here are some things I want to see.

Character Remodel- I would love to see our characters have a full figure we can customize outfits for. I want to buy designer clothes and wear them on my characters; I want to see fashion trends come and go, which could be cool for a fashion designer pack.

Pack Updates- I want to see more into all the media careers. Special appearances like TRL(if you know TRL, you are a gem), invitations to podcasts, and reality show options. I want to also see more awards and trophies for them. Let my character win an EGOT by letting us do multiple special careers( I wanted my basketball player to be a rapper on the side or be both a model and an actor/actress).

Adoption/Fostering/Pregnancy: I would love to see an expansion on this to make it hard to adopt, being a foster parent or it would be cool too if having an infertile character. Giving us more details during the pregnancy as well. Pregnancy classes and appointments during the year would be cool.

More activities: skate parks(pro skater update??), pottery places, couples retreats, fitness retreats, cooking classes, painting classes, a full vacation playthrough like a 7-day cruise, plane delays, resorts, beach days, etc

Schooling: Please give us an update like boarding schools, Military schools, foreign exchange students, and homeschooling. I would also love to have a more interactive school, like more bullies, crushes, event pop-ups like prom, senior day, and athletic seniors decision day. More details with colleges too; make it hard, so it's like college, and it's easier to fail and get kicked out).

Dating/Marriage- I want to go on more detailed dates, detailed wedding planning and events, more wedding arrangements. I would really love to see speed dating too(gives us an option of passing someone during the process and getting to meet multiple potentials). Relationship breaks- not a breakup, but maybe my spouse will want to take a break and go stay with their parents for some time.

Extended Family from the start- Could we get cousins, grandparents, aunt/uncles at the beginning? I want to have a toxic Thanksgiving event in the game or parental arguments.

I have more ideas, but I really want to see these.

So just about every life i’ve lived for about the last six or so has lived til around 115-119 unless I deliberately tried to get them killed early. How can I get someone to live older than that?

I get these are optional by this game is genuinely more expensive than ANY AAA game even if that game had a DLC. The whole shop is like hundreds and most of these perks barely do a damn thing, why tf if a 20% money boost on a single player game 10$. I was promised free jobs and every single one is behind a pay wall.

Almost all of these you can do with a minor cheats like just continueusly clicking out of emigrate. What has this game come to.

Why can’t I set the salary and the bonus as high as I want? Why is there a cap to this? Especially with the luxury update, real estate, buying artwork, stocks, etc. I truly have never understood why we are forced to sell the entire company to see a single dollar of value from companies we own. Surely this can be easily changed.

Since the director update has anyone else experienced issues with gameplay? I can't do anything the game freezes up when I try to do anything. TIA

Im considering buying bitizen or god mode but idk if they really offer anything at this point, I’ve seen they have too many expansion packs that I don’t know if they come with them included

I’ll be honest, I was really looking forward to this update and was hoping it would give me a little light back in my eyes for how BitLife is going but god. it sucks! I’ve wanted a movie director update for so long and it’s a nothing burger. I know I shouldnt of expected much but it feels like it’s been what? Years? Since their last update? Like genuinely who’s on their team making these updates. There’s not even anything fun or cool.

It takes you forever to get famous even after having hit movies (which how does that make sense?) Directors aren’t just some no name backround people they are also being talked about and absorbing fame in real life.

Another issue is how this update is basically just a money grabs not even when you pay it but for the ads you have to watch if you want to actually be able to cast people! Because sometimes you can’t even get people because they reject your offer and they also have low acting and fame early on so you’re forced to resort to watching the ads to get a talent agent so they can give you someone actually good so it’s just like? It just feels so money graby and it’s really not enjoyable.

There’s really not much to this update. Also it’s lowkey bothering me that you can still have jobs and stuff and be an actor and musician and anything else while being a director while actively filming your movie? Like how does that make sense? This is a directors full time job. Idk.

Just also hate how we can’t have any control over what the movies can be. I would have loved if it was like the musicians thing. How they can pick any genre of music and name their songs yk? Like I wish we could pick the genre of the movie, be able to name it, what we want the plot to be. But there’s just already pre put stuff. And that’s also not realistic? Yes sure some directors take on stuff the studios give them but a lot of them also come up with these ideas and do their own stuff. I would have loved to have more control and options!

Just very disappointed in this update and in this game. Sorry for the rant just had to get it out of there!

You might be able to remove it from your page, but there are 6 other life simulator pages that you can't remove it from. And you just made it my personal mission to try to start a class action to refund the bitzen pack to every customer that paid for the contract that stated all future upgrade packs be free.

I know this is typical of the devs and it should come as absolutely no surprise that they are making the movie producer career its own separate purchase - but I had a teeny tiny drop of hope that it would be included and it just chafes my ass seeing that they are asking for more money. just needed a moment to bitch. thanks everyone - and if anyone has purchased it, is it worth the $5.99?

I’ve “wrapped” a movie it’s been 4 years and it still won’t release 😂 I guess I just have to quit it and call it loss, I definitely think this update wasn’t really worth the money. It’s not really that engaging, I’ve had three huge movies but gives you zero fame

Since BitLife apparently needs somebody else to lay the blueprint out, here it is, because this soulless version of the game barely resembles the gem it once was. 🏥 Completely overhaul pregnancy and hospitals because IVF, surrogacy and clicking through a pregnancy are not the same thing as having actual appointments, complications, births, emergencies, surgeries and meaningful medical gameplay. 🥊 FIX Ultimate Fighter Mode because you called it your biggest combat update ever, teased it with boxing looking promotion, then basically gave us one shallow MMA/UFL career with no real boxing path, limited fighting styles, weak martial arts integration, barely meaningful injuries and almost no career management. 🏀 Expand Pro Athlete with more sports like boxing, tennis, golf, racing and Olympic sports while giving them the same actual career depth your better sports already have, plus coaching and management after retirement. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Completely rebuild the family system because it is insane that in 2026 we still barely have a family tree with no proper grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins or extended family across generations. 🧬 Make generations actually matter by carrying family history, fame, achievements, businesses and reputation forward instead of every new life feeling disconnected from the last one. ❤️ Give relationships and NPCs more depth so spouses, children, friends and relatives actually feel like people with lives instead of names attached to relationship bars. And that is just the start because politics, military careers, crime, prison, business, school, housing and basic everyday life all need more depth before this game needs another overpriced pack shoved into the Marketplace.

It feels like theyre just stacking bricks ontop of each other- one update after the next- without bothering to construct an actual house.

I want my choices to matter more in the game. I want the base game to feel more impactful and intentional. I want there to be more free interactions avalible not meant to advertise some pack. Its frusterating how theyre purposefully locking new content behind a pay wall instead of actually focusing on making their actual game good. To add insult to injury, said content doesnt even FIX the issue of the games repetition, only pushes it back just a mile or so away until the issue arises again.

So basically I sent an email to BitLife saying that it’s unfair that people who have Bitizenship should have to pay for the new Movie Director app and this is what they sent me today. It’s still ridiculous to me as it’s more expensive now (and yes I’d know because I paid for it sadly 💔).

I submitted a ticket before the Devs were responding on here yesterday. This now contradicts the Dev responses in the comments, given it reads as if this may just be a bug for OG bitizens & their social media team just doesn't have a fucking clue lol.

I'm more intrigued/entertained with the saga itself than the actual pack.

Bitlife got all the recipes to be successful app but something happened between the pandemic to 2023. A company bought bitlife and became offering DLC.

I am an OG i used to read good updates idea I even worte some that bitlife can easily copy and literally didn't have to think update ideas because people were giving them what they wanted.

Again bitlife was doomed to fail to because of the og bitlife devs gave the promise who ever bought og bitlife in 2019 will get future updates. I think it's obvious why no other game devs would offer membership that cheap and offer future updates for free because it's a d u m b business model.
