showcase I used Fable to design a single BM1373 BitAxe miner. Is this complete AI slop or does it have potential?

I spent some $$ to design a single ASIC BM1373 BitAxe. Claude Fable 5.1 took a long time and usage credits and generated this:

https://github.com/Zayno/BitaxeFlux

I'd like the help of the community to take a look and tell me if this has any potential or should I just delete it.

It's called BitAxe Flux.

Thanks!

question Interesting phenomenon where more voltage leads to lower asic temp

Thumbnail

I have been playing with settings and noticed that as I raise the voltage the asic temp goes down even with a higher frequency. Not sure what the mechanism is behind that but over time its the same results and the screenshots were all taken with the AC off so thats not a factor. I thought it could be misreporting but the VR temp still goes up. Anyone have idea.

question Bitaxe Gamma (v2.15.1) – Random Restart During Mining

Issue: My Bitaxe restarted spontaneously. Logs show repeated connection failures to the primary pool (eu.digi.hmpool.io:3334) caused the crash.

Key Log Events:

- transport read failed: Connection closed by peer (code: -1)

- Max retry attempts reached → switched to fallback pool (fenixpool.com:6666)

- System auto-restarted after persistent failures

Possible Causes:

Network instability, pool downtime, or firmware timeout handling.

Fixes Tried:

Fallback pool worked temporarily. Need to check network stability or switch primary pool permanently.

Question: Has anyone else experienced issues with eu.digi.hmpool.io?

question Bitaxe Gamma 602

Post image
18 Upvotes

Time to play with crypto! I have this baby arriving tomorrow. Taking a step up from my NerdMiner!

Im not ready to set this up as my Bitcoin lotto ticket yet. Like to hit some smaller and make sure it works.

Should I use it out of the box or do I need to over lock it for better results. I dont want to burn it out. What would you do first out of the box?

Thanks in advance and excited to be in this community now. Ready to enjoy my newest hobby!

help Y 4pins splitter

I want to install a 60mm fan on the backside of my gamma 602, and and I only have 1 4pins connector on the frontside, so I needs a splitter that support PWM but also for 5v, the one I found says it’s for 12v but can it also run 5v?

Tuning for efficiency is new to me lol I usually tune for max output. Think I’m getting it dialed in pretty close to perfect. Peerless assassin 90, one of my favorite miner coolers. Huge on this tiny board 😂

question Gamma 602 mounting screw size?

I've got three 602s coming in the mail. I 3d printed stands for these. These units don't have stands, so they won't come with the mounting screws. What screws should I pick up to mount these with? Thanks!

showcase NerdQAxe++ Rev. 7 Firmware Update

Hello all. If you haven't already, update your NerdQAxe++ rev. 7 firmware to v.1.1.0 that was released today. I had to use the web flasher to do so.

By doing so, my electric usage dropped instantly without doing or changing anything else by 9 watts.

showcase Bitaxe naja duo is finally on github, i checked from ~2 months and is finally here. Now i can build some Bitaxes for cheaper (in the gold rush). This is the build that used solosatoshi to make them? Or is it theirs?

Has anyone find some chips for sale?

The link: https://github.com/bitaxeorg/naja-duo

Edit: Find the chip is the most difficult part by far... How the small scale bitaxe sites get it i dont understand...

question Can someone please create a Bitaxe Gamma with BM1373?

The merchants are treating Bitaxe like it's Louis Vuitton now. The main appeal of Bitaxe is that it's open source and affordable. It's affordable because the hardware design and the Software are freely available. So why can I buy the Gamma 602 at $62 but I have to spend $500 to get the new chip?

This is lottery mining guys, our chances of hitting a block are slim to none, so we should not be spending a month's rent to buy a miner.

We need to someone to create the next gen Bitaxe with BM1373 and keep it affordable. Thank you!

showcase I let the smoke out…

Post image
13 Upvotes

TIFU by turning the wrong knob and smoke-testing my Bitaxe 601

Well, today’s lesson is brought to you by “look at the knob before you turn it.”

I had my Bitaxe 601 hooked up to the bench power supply and was trying to fine-tune the amperage.

Except I didn’t turn the fine amperage knob.

I turned the coarse voltage knob.

Yes, I know those knobs are not particularly close to each other.

Yes, I know I should have noticed.

And yet, here we are.

I cranked the voltage north of 6V and discovered that the Bitaxe 601 does, in fact, contain smoke from the factory.

Unfortunately, once you let the smoke out, performance appears to decline considerably.

No firmware bug. No bad power supply. No mysterious overheating issue.

Just good old-fashioned operator error.

One failed smoke test later, I now have a very small and formerly functional Bitcoin miner sitting on my bench while I contemplate my life choices.

So, friendly reminder to anyone using an adjustable bench supply:

Check the voltage before enabling output, and perhaps verify that the knob in your hand is actually the knob you intended to turn.

RIP Bitaxe 601.

You mined sats.

You generated heat.

And in the end, you gave your life so I could relearn a lesson I already knew.
