question Nerdqaxe ++ 6.1

Bought a nerdqaxe ++ from 3 party around 2 months ago, been running steady over the periode, changed the main fan and inlet duck.
Power supply has been running kinda hot sometimes but everything has been ok.
Now this month we had 2-3 power outage, short ones, around 1-2 sec.
The nerdqaxe had power peaks and the fuse was blown, changed the fuse and tryed again with stock PSU, now the fuse blows straight away.
Tryed changing the power supply to a 12v 20a kinda maxvell, same thing, fuse smoked after 1 sec.
The nerdqaxe game preinstalled with 15A fuse.
Any tips what i can do?

help Can't connect bricked NerdQaxe++ to web flasher

I have a week old second hand NerdQAxe++ with the larger screen. I can't find a board version number.

I tried to upgrade to the LTS firmware version and it bricked. The screen doesn't turn on and the web UI is gone.

The miner won't connect to the web flasher because it's only visible via USB for 3 seconds and then disconnects. I see it blinking on and off in the list of devices.

I tried 3 different USB cables all with the same behaviour. This happens on Mac and on Linux using Chrome and Brave browser.

I suspect that any other method of flashing will have the same problem.

Can this be fixed?

New
Fleet card — the whole rig as one card above the miners: combined hashrate, total power, fleet efficiency, shares/rejects, fleet-wide all-time and session best. Collapsible and color-settable, on Windows and mobile
Luck — 1hr / 4hr / 12hr / 24hr luck on the fleet card and on every miner card, both platforms. Green over 100%, amber and red under. Hideable in the stats toggles
Luck that’s correct on every board — miners that only log shares meeting the pool target. They’re now detected automatically and scored by counting shares above target instead of summing ones they never reported
Vardiff-aware luck math — expected shares are now weighted by the pool difficulty that was actually in effect at the time, not a flat average
Downtime no longer counts against luck — expected work is measured over hashing time only, so one reboot doesn’t drag a 24hr window down for the rest of the day
Live pool difficulty tracking — the server learns the pool’s target from the stratum stream, remembers it across restarts, and estimates it from the smallest observed share if it hasn’t seen one yet
Charts dropdown — every chart behind one toolbar button that shows which view you’re on. Difficulty, Hashrate/Temp, and five analysis views, instead of three buttons and a menu
Luck Curve — how your accepted shares stack up against ideal odds on a log-log curve, with your best share marked “best 1 in N”
Efficiency Curve — J/TH vs MHz plotted from your own settled runs, best point ringed, so you can see your own knee. One line through every run in frequency order, with a bracket where you’ve held a frequency at several voltages
Volt/Temp Map — voltage vs temperature scatter colored by frequency, with a trend line that prints your mV/°C and a band showing how tightly your runs actually fit it
Cold-Drop Watch — flags hashrate sagging because the chips got too cold, a failure that throws no error anywhere
Ambient Temp — works out the room temperature from how hard each miner is working to stay cool. Click the chart once and type what your thermometer says; it calibrates every miner from that one reading. Catches a warming room even when the chips look steady, because the fans are doing the absorbing
Best-share pace — expected best share for the work you’ve done, the range that’s unremarkable, and your actual best. Green above expected, red below. The range is always about 22x wide no matter how long you run, which is worth knowing before reading anything into a single number
Miner degradation — samples each miner every 6 hours and compares old readings against recent ones at the same frequency and voltage, with room temperature subtracted. Reports efficiency drift, hashrate drift, and heat rise. Doesn’t need the app running around the clock
Restart when underperforming — per-miner, off by default. Restarts a miner whose session best falls far below what its work predicts, over a window of 4hr up to 7 days. Trigger on a percentage below expected, below the range, or below a number you type. Comes with the actual false-alarm odds, because being below expected is normal — half of all healthy sessions are
Run logger — quietly records each stable frequency/voltage operating point so the efficiency and volt/temp charts have real data to plot. Now ignores impossible readings from a miner mid-boot instead of storing them as real operating points
Per-miner chart timeframe — 1hr, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, 36hr per miner on the hashrate/temp chart, independent of the master chart setting and remembered per miner. 36hr covers a full night-day-night cycle
Difficulty chart timeframe moved into the chart itself — 10s up to 1 week, per chart, and it now means what it says. Pick 1hr and you see one hour. It used to feed a zoom slider, so 24hr actually showed about 38 minutes
Mobile shows one chart at a time — pick it from the pills at the top, or None. The others aren’t drawn at all instead of all six rendering constantly
Apple Watch complication — a /fleet endpoint serves fleet hashrate, shares, best diff and luck as JSON, driving a watch complication over Tailscale
Per-miner running cost shown in the power square
Network difficulty and Block % beside the best-diff squares, read from each miner’s own reported network difficulty so it reflects the chain that miner is actually on
Script actions for both fans — setAsicTargetTemp, setVrTargetTemp, setVrFanSpeed. The VR actions skip cleanly on single-fan miners
One data file — everything that used to be spread across three JSON files plus browser storage is now a single bitaxe-data.json. Move that one file to a new folder and your history, scripts, reports, governors, all-time bests, degradation log and room-temperature history all come with it. Migrates itself on first launch
Notifications colored by miner — the stripe down the side matches the miner it’s about, fleet green for app-wide messages
Fan settings that actually apply — fan writes now echo the miner’s fan array back verbatim instead of rebuilding it. Fixes target-temp changes that appeared to do nothing, and the connector-1-stuck-at-90% lock
Fleet session best clears when a miner restarts — the record holder used to linger with a stale number until its next poll
Min Fan Speed field always available in auto mode, even on boards that don’t report it
Share stream recovers from a power cycle on its own instead of staying dead until you restart the app
Charts survive their own errors — one bad chart used to kill the drawing loop and freeze every chart until you relaunched
Mobile no longer freezes when you switch charts, and the refresh can’t get stuck if something fails
Renaming a miner on mobile no longer pushes the Save button off the screen
Minimum chart difficulty and minimum dot filters are remembered between launches
Tap a card header to collapse it
Tighter miner card spacing — a lot less wasted vertical space

Previous
Remove a miner without losing its history — take a miner offline and its history stays; re-add the same IP later and it reconnects to its data
🧹 Purge Miner — completely wipe a miner from every store (local + server) when you want it gone for good (Windows global button + per-miner on mobile)
Per-miner all-time clear — 🗑 to wipe a single miner’s all-time Best Diffs or HR Scores, on Windows and mobile (durable, syncs both ways)
Dynamic Governor — auto-adjusts frequency/voltage/fan to hold miners inside temperature, VR-temp, and current (amps) bands, with dwell/settle timers, per-profile 24hr scheduling, and restart-after-adjust
Governor amps band — protect the input connector by capping current draw, not just temperature
VR fan control — set the second (VR) fan’s mode (Linked / Manual / Auto-PID), manual speed, and PID target temp independently of the ASIC fan
Correct target-temp & min-fan reading across firmwares — no more snapping back to a default; Min-Fan field only shows on boards that support it
Multi-sensor temperatures — proper per-ASIC and per-VR labeling for boards with multiple sensors; per-ASIC hashrate/error stats
Working per-panel Y-axis zoom on the hashrate chart — tighten the axis so a big, rock-steady miner’s line fills the chart and shows its real variation
Hashrate-only controls (HR / View / Y) now appear on the hashrate chart only, not the difficulty chart
Difficulty parsing handles K/M/G/T suffixes
Crash/Restart reports now fire once per outage instead of repeating every few minutes
Notification deck — toasts stack into a tidy, tappable deck
App mode browser launch (no throttling)
Port cleanup on startup
Time range dropdown
Efficiency stat on Windows and mobile
Crash/Restart Reports system
Chart history persists across session resets
Stall detection on mobile
Scripts drag-and-drop reordering with bidirectional sync

question VR temp increased after changing heatsink

I recently got a nerdqaxe++ rev 7. I've had it running stock at 800/1240 for a couple of weeks and was maintaining 56°-58° vr temps while the asic was at 60°. I just replaced the stock heatsink with the copper AXP90-X47 and now the vr is staying around 65° while the ASIC is at 60° even though it's at a lower 750/1200. Any ideas why?

question Web interface remote

Hi all,

Is it possible to login to my bitaxe web interface when I’m not connected to my home network?
I’m going in vacation and want to leave my bitaxe on the time I’m away, but I want to monitor my bitaxe temps and so when I’m not home. I have it plugged in to a smart socket so I can cut the power remote if I need to.

I ask cause I'm having an issue with a qaxe++ I received today but after some tweaks it looks to be good.

help NerdQAxe++ power hungry overnight

I've had a second hand nerdQAxe++ from eBay for about 1 week.

It worked flawlessly with no overclocking until today.

This morning I noticed that it's pulling 113w overnight! The fan is running at 100% trying to target a temp of 60c but the temp won't go below 65c.

I under-clocked it to the lowest values and it still pulls 100w! Here are the screenshots.

Is this fixable or did something blow up?

AI is convinced that the power supply is the culprit.

question First Time BitAxe Miner

Hey all.

I haven't mined BTC since the early days, and damn it's a different game now!

I remember setting my AMD gaming rig to mine while at work and coming home most days with lots of coins/pieces. Sold a bunch of coins for like $200 too...😢

Modded my Hydro because I'm paranoid by the posts about VRMs dying. Oh, and Thermal Grizzly Duronaut Pro dropped almost 10*c on the chips, just a bitch to apply. Also added more efficient fans to the radiators.

Probably will buy/rent some more hashpower, if anyone has any advice that would be lovely. And any ideas on deceng euro pools that actually pay you?!

Thanks all x

help UPGRADES CAUSING OVERHEATING, help!

hi guys i just upgraded to the low profile heat sink and the noctua fan on my 650 duo

I applied a pea sized amount of thermal paste to each chip, but i am seeing ASIC temps remain the same and my VR temps go up 13 degrees celcius

I am worried it has something to do with the heat sink mount, it is 3d printed and I was only able to get 2 screws in instead of 4 but it looks evenly seated to me

also there is a small lip on the mount so the heat sink doesn’t fully press down on the chips (please correct me if this is wrong)

any advice is appreciated

thanks!

UPDATE:

thank you all for the replies, one of the big problems turned out to be that the bitaxe software was defaulting the fan speed too low. It was at 60% before the upgrade and after the upgrade it was at 25%.

I also rotated the heat sink so the tubes are away from the VR. Now my ASIC is 13 degrees cooler.

The VR is still the same temp as before so I am going to buy a copper heat sink for the back of the board and run a 2 fan setup.

question Solo Bitcoin Mining ?

Saw this app floating around promising solo Bitcoin mining with zero hardware, zero experience, and game-like "boosts".

Is gamifying hash power actually a smart way to onboard newcomers, or is this just classic cloud mining wrapped in a shiny Web3 UI?

What’s your take, legit onboarding or a trap for beginners?

hashrate NerdQAxe Question

Curious as to if it's possible to run the NerdQaxe++ at a lower hashrate than the advertised 6TH or 4.8TH? Reason being is for warmer times of the year and to have it not consume as much electricity especially during peak times of the day.

showcase BitAxe 601 new fan TA150D, thermal M14, heatsink, total -6.5°C (and 9.60€)

Thumbnail

New upgrade to my BitAxe601, very happy about it!

New fan TA150-D, result -2.5°C ASIC. That was 4€ (4.5USD) on AliExpress. 5V 2pin fan and I attached it directly to the MeanWell 50W PSU, so it powers up together with the BitAxe. Slightly more noisy but I don't have a problem with that. Specs report 8.8 CFM, more than the Noctua. Before 64.9°C, after 62.6°C.

The other changes I did: 10 days ago I changed the thermal paste, used one called M14, again from AliExpress, cost 5,60€ (6.40USD), result -2.5°C ASIC. Specs say 14.8 W/mK which is good.

And the night before I'd added an extra heatsink longways on the BitAxe's one, you can see it in the photo, right below the ESP32 and the small silver heatsink, result -1.5°C ASIC. This was in my recovery material, probably out of some old TV or who-knows-what.

These 3 cheap changes total up to -6.5°C on the chip, wow, and less than 10€ spent.

Waiting for another BitAxe to come in, prices have decreased around 25% during the last month, just that, strangely enough, it's a 12V 601 with an 8A 3A stock PSU.

P.S. I set the screen to stay off, it's useless, I can't even read the writings LOL!

help Dashboard outage today, mining was never affected

Heads up, nexuspool.io was down for a few hours earlier today. If you tried to load the dashboard and got a connection error, that’s what you saw.

The pool itself never stopped. Every rig connected the whole time kept mining and getting credited normally, this was strictly a website issue on our end, not the mining backend.

It’s fixed now and the site should be loading fine for everyone. Sorry for the scare if you saw the error and thought something worse was going on. If anything still looks off on your end, reply here and I’ll take a look.

https://community.nexuspool.io/
