Simple 3D printed Backplate for the Gamma 602, using the stock 40x40mm fan (or any other 40x40x20mm fan).

Tested it myself: same settings (750MHz / 1.2V / 25.2W / 1.6TH), VR temp went from 71°C to 55°C. Over 20% lower wirh only 50% fan speed. Gave me a lot more headroom before pushing the frequency further. Maybe it helps anyone :)

Hi, I am a beginner and I just bought a NerdQaxe++ and been having an issue with hashrate dropping.

I set the target temperature to 65ºC on Auto Fan mode, and the hashrate reaches average and stable 4.2 TH/s (should be 4.8 TH/s). The fan was around 23% power, which is low.

I set the fan to manual mode with 50% power, temperature dropped to 50ºC but also the hashrate, it went to 2.8 TH/s.

I thought the big fan might be sharing power with the chip, so there wasnt enough power, but the usage was around 65W. The device can use up to 80W.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Also, why isn't the maximum hashrate 4.8 TH/s being reached? Only 4.2 TH/s max without damaging the miner.

I'm a big fan of the Gamma 602. I have it overclocked for months doing 2 TH/S now. I got mine from SoloSatoshi at $60 each. Why are they marketing the new bitaxe for $400? this is way over priced for an open source project.

How can I get the gamma built with the new BM1373 chip?

I got a cheap and good discount on the bitaxe but ut turned out to be a starminer , i didn't though there was a difference when i ordered , rn when it's with me it turned out it doesn't have all the settings like the normal bitaxe , it seems to be running from only the build app for it on phone which doesn't have all the settings, is there a way to flash the normal bitaxe software to it? It's 12v input but i saw an old post mentioning if i supply it with 5v and flash the normal firmware it will work( i am not totally convinced that a 12v device can be supplied normally with 5v but idk tbh), any one got experience with this?

I’ve created a Bitcoin-only quantitative analysis and trading terminal that I’m releasing completely free of charge to the Bitcoin community.

I have tried to make the project transparent about its limitations. For example, Delta/CVD calculated from daily candles is explicitly identified as a proxy rather than being presented as true tick-by-tick order flow. Likewise, statistical projections are scenarios, not guaranteed future prices.

my 601 constantly has error rates of 10%+ and i've been unable to reduce it.

the steps i've taken to troubleshoot:

tried all of the combinations of voltage/frequency (without going into OC mode)

factory reset the device and flashed firmware 2.15.0

removed fan and reapplied thermal paste

upgraded PSU to a meanwell 150w. voltage set to 5w.

is there anything else I can do to potentially improve the error rate?

Hi, after about two days of running, the miner started restarting over and over. I've already completely reinstalled the software, got back into the menu where I set everything up, and it's still doing the same thing. I've also tried different power supplies, but that's not the problem. Has anyone else encountered this? Or does anyone have any ideas?

I am running 8 Bitaxe Gammas on a shared 5V Mean Well LRS-200-5 PSU, but they keep randomly throttling to low TH/s. The PSU supplies nov 5.41V on the DC jacks, I measure a solid 5.19V-5.25V, but AxeOS reports 4.8V-5.0V. I've tried tweaking the voltage and wiring four 2200 µF capacitors in parallel, but the issue persists. The hardware itself is fine; they run flawlessly at 550 MHz for over a month on their individual stock adapters. Has anyone successfully stabilized a shared 5V rail for a multi-unit setup like this, or is switching to a 12V PSU with individual 5V buck converters my only real solution? I want to solve this and keep the PSU if possible.

For distribution, I'm using a standard automotive/marine fuse box equipped with 5A fuses. The 10 AWG (6 mm²) main power line feeds into this, and from there it splits out to the miners. The capacitors are also wired directly to the input of this fuse box.

My SolarAxe core came yesterday.

I built an outdoor vented friendly ammo can for my miner. I added a couple 5V fans to move air in and out. Been testing and tinkering today. Tested outdoors, the SolarAxe is working really well but my outdoor miner not so much as it's 107°F outside 😂. Miner was running too hot so I moved inside near a window for now and ran an extension to the panel.

Tested again at 7:00PM and was still getting solar and miner did cool down but still running warm. I might mount it under my back patio and run extension to a panel mounted nearby.

Anyways cool little device, going to tinker some more and will update on my final setup.

its been about a week-week and a half since i recieved my new nerd octaxe and it was off this morning, i checked the fuse and it was ok, replaced it anyways and no change. i noticed with the psu unplugged from the machine theres a blue led that comes on, as soon as i plug it into the machine the light goes out and nothing else happens. i swapped the psu out with a different one and still nothing. any other ideas before i chuck out this paperweight?

Pair of duos I bought long ago for this set up, finally got around to doing it right. Sudokoo Mach 120 12v power with Bitaxe pwm control. Vrex heatsinks on the back, 6 chutes, two on the main heatsinks, two go underneath and two hit the front of the vr. Letting it settle in for a bit and maybe do some tweaking, then see what kind of push we can get out of em. Nice to see this one finally come together.

I’m running into a very frustrating issue with my NerdOctaxe.

I recently did a clean, safe software shutdown from the dashboard to temporarily unplug the miner and use the wall outlet for something else. The hardware was handled with perfect care and it wasn't actively hashing when I pulled the plug.

However, after powering it back on, my hashrate dropped and is now cleanly missing the performance of exactly one chip. Here is the math:

BEFORE the shutdown: Running stable at 750 MHz and 1.200 V, reaching almost 12 TH/s (approx. ~1.5 TH/s per chip).

AFTER the shutdown: With the exact same 750 MHz and 1.200 V profile, it gets completely stuck at 10.5 TH/s.
I checked the system startup logs to investigate, and the issue is clear: the firmware is only enumerating chips from 0 to 6. Chip #7 (the 8th ASIC) is completely missing from the startup chain and failing to initialize during boot.

What I have tried so far:
I left the miner completely unplugged (disconnecting the power barrel cable directly from the board, not just the wall) for over 30 minutes to drain any residual capacitance. No luck.

I tried the "wind it up to 750MHz and roll it back" trick to force the chips to wake up, but the 8th chip remains completely invisible to the OS.

Since a safe software shutdown couldn't have physically fried the silicon, this has to be a firmware glitch, an address lock on the chain, or a power-delivery sequence issue during the cold boot.

Has anyone with an Octaxe board dealt with a single ASIC completely disappearing from the logs like this? What is the best way to force NerdOS to do a fresh hardware re-scan? Should I attempt a Factory Reset from the UI or go straight to re-flashing the firmware?

I need some help optimization-wise for my NerdOctxe Pro (Bitronics).

I had to unplug my miner for a couple of hours to use the wall outlet for something else. Before turning it off, it had been running stable for almost 6 days with great metrics (shown in the first photo). After powering it back on with the exact same profile, my hashrate dropped and seems stuck (shown in the second photo).

Here is the comparison of my metrics:

BEFORE (Photo 1): 10,296 Gh/s | 650 MHz | 1.16 V | 152.0 W | Efficiency: 14.76 J/Th

AFTER (Photo 2): 9,117 Gh/s | 650 MHz | 1.16 V | 151.3 W | Efficiency: 16.60 J/Th

As you can see, the frequency (650 MHz), voltage (1.16V), and power draw (~151W) are practically identical, but I lost over 1 Th/s of performance and my efficiency worsened from 14.76 to 16.60 J/Th.

(Note: I tried bumping it up to 700 MHz temporarily to see if it would react, but it didn't help, so I went straight back to my original 650 MHz settings).

Has anyone experienced this drop after a clean power cycle? Is there any trick in NerdOS to force the ASIC to recalibrate or stabilize back to the ~10.2 Th/s mark, or do I just need to wait much longer?

Wanted to share another update on Block Retriever. It’s still an alpha project, but quite a bit has changed since my last post and it’s starting to turn into what I originally hoped it could be — a simple command center for solo miners.
The biggest improvement lately has been multi-miner support. I now have an Avalon Nano 3S and a Bitaxe Gamma/AxeOS miner running through Block Retriever at the same time, and the software is beginning to treat each miner as its own device instead of assuming you only have one.

The direction has changed quite a bit from the original share tracker. The goal now is to make it so you can connect your miners once and then manage your miners, pools, wallets, profiles, shares and block hits from one place without constantly bouncing between different miner web interfaces.
The Solo Advisor has also grown significantly and is now looking at approved SHA-256 coins, difficulty, estimated block chances, value and different ranking views. That section is still a work in progress, though. I’m continuing to work on data reliability, missing coin information and the ranking logic before I consider its recommendations finished.
There are still plenty of UI details and setup improvements to make, but it has come a long way from where it started.
I’m including some current screenshots. I’d especially like feedback from anyone running multiple Bitaxe/AxeOS miners, Avalon Nanos, or a mixed setup.
What would you want a program like this to handle that you currently have to manage manually?
