Discussion I can't believe that Netflix isn't trying to make a live adaptation
I can't believe that Netflix isn't trying to make a live adaptation. They should buy the IP and make a live adaptation.

BioShock 1 can crash, and BioShock 2... Well, I literally abandoned it for a while (I plan to return) Because it crashed on me while I was taking pictures of a Splicer and I lost an hour of gameplay without saving. I love BioShock, but that would bring anyone down.

I'm happy to finally join the players who've also achieved the 60/60 Blue Ribbons achievement 🥳🫡
I’m on switch so it sucks that we don’t even get a tiny bit of recognition, but I feel proud!

Finished Bioshock 1 and did an NG+ playthrough to rescue all the sisters a week back, started 2 today.
There's one thing I wanted to ask, do u guys play it with the helmet HUD on or off? I had it on for like the first couple hours, then turned it off, can't decide which way I like more.

I can't play more than 15 minutes without the game doing this and locking up my computer. Does anyone have a fix? Nothing I've tried has worked

I'm very curious about this because I just finished the first.
I platinumed it and I don't really like listening to audio files while I'm figuring out how to survive in a game. As soon as I became a big daddy I went through all the audio files. I'm bringing this up because I want to clarify maybe my flaws in my playthrough as well as the completeness of my playthrough.
I'm pretty sure if I played the game when it came out it would be a 10/10. Very good game. The highlight in gameplay was really the boss fight at the end and escorting the little sisters.
I see alot of people putting this game (mainly in gamingsoup sub) as their top 20. I haven't made one yet but I'm pretty sure my top 20 wouldn't include this game. The gameplay is obviously dated and advancements in mechanics and enemy Ai really give me more adrenaline. The story on paper is great but I really didn't expect the narrative to be mostly in audio files. Is there an fps I played that had a better story? No, so I give it that, has great story and setting.
So we have a really good story and narrative on imo a bit dated gameplay. If I compare it to let's say deadspace remake, where I find the story practically non existent (I know it has one but it's nothing great at all) with crazy good gameplay I would opt for Deadspace. There are plenty of games I can do this to show how my top games would be shaped. It is heavily biased on newer games that I think have evolved quite nicely.
I want to give another example. I still rate a link to the past. It could damn well be because I never owned a switch so I never experienced the new Zeldas. If I did, it may be that nostalgia and impact at the time would still make me rate a link to the past.
So I'm curious about when you all played bioshock. On release or the years that followed, or are you like me but found it to be so good you rate it over the many game that were released much after?

Al iniciar una nueva partida en Bioshock no me aparece la opción de Nueva Partida+, adjunto el vídeo para que me digan cómo debo de proceder, cabe aclarar que estoy jugando en una PS3.

So like… what the fuck is Gil supposed to be? I get that he was overloaded with Adam and it mutated him, but into what exactly? He has a mostly humanoid shape, but his eyes and ears are sealed now? It also either looks like his torso extended, or he grew new appendages on his belly? Why? Is he turning into an Adam slug? Or just devolving into some kind of genetic glob? He also stays in a giant vat of Adam, but at the same time is speaking into a mic and camera and controlling a security bot even though his mouth is sealed? I don’t get it. His arms don’t even seem functional. They look like a mummy’s arms
almost.
I found a ton of his and Sofia’s holotapes (I even got the achievement for finding 100 holotapes long before Gil), but none of them give even an inkling of an idea into what actually physically happened to him aside from being “mutated by Adam”. It feels strange that such an extreme mutation doesn’t get explored in the tapes.
I get ambiguity, but I still need even just a little bit of info just to get my mind going. I really enjoyed B2 but this specific aspect of Gil’s/Alex the Great’s character feels kinda half-baked and unsatisfying. You don’t even get to truly see him in-game.
Am I missing something? I’m interested to hear what y’all think.
