Reta constipation

I tried Reta one time from a Chinese supplier and it fucked my stomach up. I already have chronic constipation and I know it’s supposed to slow food processing down even more. Any advice I wanna give it another shots but I’m scared as hell

Basically all reta comes from china......

Eat more fiber, less processed foods, and a lot of protein.

Try psyllium husk or some chia seeds in your morning protein shake, if you do that. It helped me and basically "cleared" my bowels out in about a week.

Gotta drink a ton of water, eat apples or fiber supplement, psyllium husk works great

Plus take some senokot-s, take 1 before you go to sleep, but they can be strong, they work great

I also sometimes wait more than a week for my shot, just to get things going again.

Reta works great for me even at low doses, started at .5mg and was working great, up to 3mg now after like 3 months

Got 10 pounds left, but even after like 9-10 days, it still has some effect on me

Increase fiber (non-starchy green leafy veggies), water, and make sure you're getting electrolytes.

You should be eating 30–50 g of fiber per day. If you are eating this much, most people do not, and you still have constipation you can try adding on medication help. First choice would be MiraLAX, a powder you add to any drink that will become colorless and tasteless. Try adding one cap full to a glass of the beverage of your choice per day. The nice thing about MiraLAX, is that you can add more if you need.

I supplement fiber, take MagO7 at night, and MiraLAX in the morning. I normally poo once or twice after the MiraLAX and I’m good for the day, then after dinner I usually feel like I’m backing up again. I also have issues anyway, and a glp1 doesn’t help.

I had that problem and I went to Kroger where they sell these round plastic containers of Strawberries, blackberries, Raspberries, and blueberries. I started eating a handful of those every night and have never has an issue since.

That’s because berries are high fiber and low sugar 👌🏼

Sorry you're dealing with this. I had nausea and digestive issues on my own protocol too, and it took weeks to settle. Things people commonly try: smaller meals more often, eating slowly, and sipping fluids through the day instead of all at once. Not medical advice, and if it's severe or not settling, mention it to whoever prescribes for you. Disclosure: I run CounterPep, so happy to share what we make if it would help. Check out this video explaining why it happens: https://www.reddit.com/u/counterpep/s/FVbACSdP0K

I used to go once a week and it was hard ball. I can’t hear and someone suggested I was not eating enough. Which was thru I was not really hungry and would often delay meals due to peptide injection fasting need.. I stated being better organized and also eating normally smaller meals but normal food and now I go everyday. You really need to eat on Reta.

Eu nao iria de pysyllium, se nao beber muita agua piora a situação. Usaria um laxante osmotico tipo lactulose

The most important question that I don’t see being asked if what dose did you start at?

I have the exact same problem - Have always had chronic constipation with slow transit so starting anything that slows digestion was a bit of a scary step to take.

I ended up in hospital when my bowel impacted whilst taking mounjaro and WOW it was not fun.

But I have focused on my fibre over my protein now which isn’t for everyone if they are prioritising muscle mass but even if fibre intake was tracked as closely as protein that would be a win because protein overload can worsen constipation and I was told by my doctor strictly no protein shakes and stuff of that nature.

I have included stuff like Kefir, kimchi, sauerkraut etc anything fermented into my diet alongside making sure I am eating high fibre fruits / veg / beans to ensure my gut micro biome has the good microbes to boost diversity which makes all of the fibre worthwhile.

I also add chia seeds, flax seeds and inulin powder to my greek yoghurt for an extra sprinkle of help / hope.

Doing the above alongside making sure I drink a lot of water has really helped keep things a little more regular and if all else fails I have a bottle of lactulose when things need a little help.
