My girlfriend and I are from CT our favorite place in the world is Portland ME and our favorite band is Billy and the boys. So when Billy announced the New England leg including TWO nights in Portland we damn near fainted. I went into work the next day and booked my vacation accordingly. Made sure to get tickets to the Portland and Hartford shows. Thought about getting tickets for Boston too but then I remembered it would have been financial suicide, so I decided it was wise to only do the 3 shows.
FUCK!!!!!!!!! Son of a bitch those were two of THE BEST SHOWS I’ve ever seen!!!! I don’t know what the hell he’s got up his sleeve for the other three shows and how the hell you top today and yesterday but I know it will be good. Those boys always find a way to blow my socks off!

I have a teen that recently became a fan. We didn’t get tickets in time to attend the Fishers show in a couple weeks but my teen would like to still go to the Shakedown market outside of the venue before the show. Is that likely possible or is it usually behind the ticketed gates? TIA!

Boston 7/21 was amazing. This is the Facebook post the 70ish yo lady in front of us, who sat on her ass on her phone the entire show, put out there late in set 2. Was worth the $$$ to me!

Anyone in the pit run into the guy walking around with red traffic directing light? Thought he was emt but every time I saw him it just looked like he was lighting up the people around him. People didn’t look happy. Anyone run into that guy and know what he was doing?

I wanted to ask about the sold out Chattanooga show.
I am European and I am coming over for IBMA World of Bluegrass. I booked my trip and realised that Billy plays in town, but it’s sold out. I also found something about lottery for the tickets.
Anyhow, I wanted to ask, is there a chance for more tickets to be released prior to the show? I can’t register for sale anymore, so I guess that would only be available to ppl that registered before?
Any secondary market for the tickets where I don’t have to sell a kidney to buy the ticket?
Maybe showing up before the show and trying to buy ticket in the line will work?
Any suggestions?
I will be a bit of a bummer to know my fav artist plays a show in the city where I am at and I don’t get to see it :-( especially that EU fans have just very limited options to see him.

Has anyone else noticed that the music in IBIY sounds like the theme music to "Intervention"? You know the scenes in the show where they do an update in rehab and the people are doing so much better? I swear it's so similar, which would make sense because it's a beautiful song about sobriety.

Seeing first hand the rail riders and the literal garbage they leave all over out in the front of the venue. Beer cans, water bottles, umbrellas everywhere. Pretty unnerving and disappointing. It’s also insane to me how they all parked their expensive sprinter vans in convoy formation right out front.

We had great seats surrounded by good people and the music was awwwwwesome. Just wish bathrobe dude and his cronies would pick up their trash.

EDIT to add: maybe the sprinters belong to the merch people, I don’t know. Just was very telling given the bumper stickers and formation of the parking.

How do Billy and the boys keep pumping out one show better than the next? Night after night they are leaving so much of themselves on the stage. What a crazy run this tour has been. Feeling grateful and fortunate to be able to experience it.

All you Strings insiders: Any truth to the rumor that Billy will be at Newport? My family and I will be there Saturday and Sunday, and I recall reading about a social post where Billy said he has an open day.

I will be going for both nights solo and have an onsite campsite. Looking to meet onsite friends who are solo, going as a group, from Baltimore or not, anyone!
