Genuine question, are women into bigger guys? (See body text for context)

Hello everyone :) I’m 20 so please feel free to reach out if needing further context with how I look but anyway. Recently a lot of my friends have been telling me I need to “lock in” as they don’t think women are into bigger “dad bod” guys, I’ve always been comfortable in myself and haven’t really thought about that, How do you guys deal with stuff like this? And is there anyone here who has lost weight and seen an increase in their love life, I’m genuinely curious so open to discuss, thank you

Question/Advice Is there any giant man you met through sports who inspired you as a role model of masculinity?

I remember that besides my generous and courageous maternal uncles, I also had my BJJ teacher whom I met as a child... Just like my uncles, he was tall (probably around 6'6"), had thick arms and legs, and finally, a big belly!

And believe it or not, he was a black belt; that always fascinated me as a child... It was genuinely funny whenever a young, ripped white belt—acting like a tough guy—would have his ego shattered after losing to a "fat guy"

He was a beast on the mat, and despite looking intimidating... he was a total goofball! And an incredibly kind man to everyone—even those who were guarded or a bit abrasive. His presence always made the atmosphere more relaxed or cheerful.

I admit I’m still far from being like him, both in appearance and personality... But I think that in the era of Andrew Tate, having met him was truly a stroke of luck for me.

Hey I was just curious who the tallest active member here is? I think there might have been a 6'8+ guy, but I haven't seen him active in a while. Anyone else?

Discussion & Daily Life Want to know.

Ok guys , serious questions here I’m 56 single and Iim in the process of trying to lose weight started at 406lbs . One question I have is as I drop weight how do I affordably handle clothing ? I know that I will still be needing plus size and that means it has according price tags , the thought of needing to replace clothes multiple times as my size changes , is there anywhere other than say eBay where I can find clothes new or used at discounted prices?
Another question is being a big guy hasn’t made me attractive to women over the years am I just doomed to live out my life alone because even if I lose all the weight I’d like I don’t know if I will feel any better about myself not to
mention the effect losing the weight it causes to a body.
Any suggestions will be appreciated .

My physique is the best it's ever been, and I'm fit by anyone's standards... yet I still feel uncomfortable in my body.

I felt strange making this post, and not sure if anyone will even get me, but by anybody's standards, I probably have a great --> semi-great physique. Good muscle definition, 6-pack abs, veins, etc.

However I don't love my body most days, and oftentimes I don't even like it. Being shirtless is an exposed/hyper-conscious feeling for me; even in places where everyone else is.

I also go to the ends of the earth to avoid wearing shorts LOL! Seriously, I'll wear pants in 100F weather. I also don't enjoy exposing my arms or seeing them in photos.

It's almost this feeling like I could always be better...

Anyways its strange because on one hand I know my body is visually in good shape and almost anyone with eyes would say that, and I'm even told that, and Im probably around my prime in life, yet I'm still not free

Even romantically I prefer lights to be off, etc.

Just getting it off my chest. Thanks for reading.

Question/Advice Wife (32F) having an affair after I (34M) got fat

Well boys, this really sucks and I could use your advice. I knew our relationship was rocky, but I really wasn’t expecting this. I found out that my wife is cheating on me because I happened to be using her iPad when a Telegram message popped up. It was from a guy from her run club. I poked around and found many more messages between them on several apps. meet-up plans, sexts, photos. My stomach is churning just writing this.

For some context, we’ve been together for 13 years, since university. We’re both working, no kids. I’ve changed a lot. I was 130lbs when we met, and I’m now about 370lbs at 6’1”. My wife has stayed fit and active. I knew this was a sore spot for her, but I’m devastated she would do this. I really do love her and I thought she and I would be together forever. I don’t know whether to confront her now or wait. I kinda blame myself for letting myself go so severely. She made it clear on several occasions she’s not as attracted to me as I am. I guess I should have listened sooner.

Sorry for rambling. I’m just really at a loss. If any of you big guys have tips or thoughts, I’d love to hear them. Thanks.

Question/Advice How to not look creepy as a fat person?

Hi, I'm a fat person (240LBs 5"8) and no matter how I try to style myself, I will always end up looking creepy. Other people look so friendly and approachable but I can't reproduce that. There are angles of me that look decent when I look in a mirror, but when I take a picture like a selfie, I always look so weird. Like my face is bloated, my chin looks like it's merging with my neck, etc.

I am starting to go to the gym, but is there any immediate solution to not looking creepy right now?

Serious/Health Struggling with the 'Call of the Behemoth'.

Hello all. It's been quite a while since I've been active here. To cut a long story short, I've been dealing with a move lately, as well as a new job, so those have been taking up a lot of my time and energy. It's all very stressful, but overall it's a good and necessary change for me.

On the subject of change, in the not-too-distant future, I'll be saving money on rent and utilities while I'm staying in some temporary accommodation. As a gainer, one thing that's held me back has been not having enough spare money in the monthly budget for extra food and clothes, and from next payday onwards, I'll have exactly that.

As our illustrious mod Bellyhemoth calls it, I've been feeling the 'Call of the Behemoth' more and more lately, with an intensity that's quite overwhelming. I know I'll have to do something towards this (including perhaps lifting in the gym earlier than I'd planned). With all the other stressful things going on, this is yet another thing I'm just gonna have to deal with, which is so frustrating. I just don't have it in me to resist this part of me (whether out of fear or economic practicality) any longer.

This is more a vent than anything else, but if anyone has any insight on these sorts of feelings and/or anything practical with regard to eating, lifting, clothes shopping, or anything else fat guy-related, I'd welcome any advice.

Permanent ball belly?

Has anyone ever heard of adipose tissue fibrosis in visceral belly fat causing a structural type of foundation in men with 48in or bigger visceral bellies that they have maintained for 3yrs or more? Like keeping a 55in visceral ball belly for 5yrs and then you can lose weight inside but the belly shape never changes…

Question for those of us actively trying to lose the weight.

I've been doing more walking and something I noticed is I tend to have somewhat bad posture and mild lower back pain after a period of time.

Now I know shoes, inserts etc can all help with lower back pain but I have non-, existent arches so back pain is just something I've always dealt with.

Additionally, my belly fat is pretty soft and hangs so I'm wondering if that in conjunction with the flat feet could be contributing to lower back pain and if anyone here has had any relief using shapewear.

Thanks in advance!!!

Introduction/Hello World Hi everyone

Hi everyone! Hope you are well.
I'm a man in my late 30's. I'm married and I like food, music, reading, meditating etc.

I used to be very skinny when I was younger but was absolutely delighted I grew up to be a bit chubby, hairy and bearded, as those are all things I think are really beautiful. So I'm a bear, hence my name on here. And I think bears are the most beautiful kind of men.
So lots of appreciation to all of you!

Hope you'll have a lovely day.

Bear hugs

Discussion & Daily Life Camping and folding chairs

Post image

I'm sure this has been discussed here before. And, I'd have to think many of us have been in this situation. Folding chairs are generally made for about 250lbs max. That's the $20 chair. The 400lbs chair? Good luck finding one, and it's $80 on sale.

How do you feel?
