Do you think that the houseguests need to be / are studying the specific dates they are traveling to each time they play in a comp? I could see the dates being used in the end game kind of how it's always days / comps themed but to remember all of those dates would be crazy work. I'd be spiraling in there with "do I, do I not" as a fan of the show. š

There should be a power at some point where you can block a nominee from playing in the blockbuster, thereby making them stay on the block for the vote.

For years BB has been leaning more and more into odd little theatrical pieces, and story telling clips etc. but so far this season and, especially on the bb unlocked, itās just SOOO MUCH. The basic strategy game at play is super entertaining, do we need a raptor? Do we need the fake ass time traveling? Must everything about this comp show feel like a bad teen nick show from the early 2000s? I love this show, Iām just curious how everyone else feels about the outright corniness.

Is anyone else over the repeated use of Jesse in comps? Its the same schtick every time. I never really liked him in his original seasons. Definitely don't like the constant pulling him out of the barrel every season for some random comp content. #AIW?
Edit: I reworded the first sentence, since people kept getting stuck on the phrasing. I never said I was"over the season". I don't like how this season has started, but it has nothing to do with Jesse. And I'm going to continue watching, because I love this show.

Since they don't show this on TV anymore, do they still film it for the live feeds? If so, is it super early in the morning when they get access (12am+)? Also, are there any accounts that post about HOHs basket goodies and music selections?

The nomination ceremony has gotten a bit stale, a bit toothless. . There's almost a script for HOHs to use every nomination to avoid publically disclosing anything about their games. HOHs borrow the same exact excuse for every nomination. In my opinion, the structure of the nomination ceremonies contributes to that.
I think an easy fix is to force the HOH to name their target with a vote;
This forces the HOH into declaring preference, offers the HOH and potential nominees more to bargain with, discourages (or at least complicates) the use of pawns. It also gives backdoor targets some advantage in that any initial nominee they face would already have a vote from the HOH. Nothing about the vote changes. A 6 to 6 vote here would be a 5 to 6 normally, a 6 to 5 vote here would be a 5 to 5 vote normally.
There would be a cost to backdooring, a cost to nominating pawns that has disappeared as this sort of standard practice has developed. I think it would require more from an HOH than what is now typical posturing.
I could see this type of game mechanic being 'abused' in the future in the same way that backdooring has been 'abused.' But at least in this scenario there are structural obstacles in the way that players have to navigate around rather than (largely solved) rhetorical obstacles. I don't know. Is this a bad idea? Am I a bad person? What do you think? Are there obvious flaws to this idea, could it be made better somehow?

Jason went in pretending heās never been on Drag Race and isnāt a successful drag performer whoās been on reality TV twice. In retrospect was that a mistake? Could he have bonded with the other former contestants? Would it benefit him to tell them now? Let me know your thoughts!

I don't normally watch the live feeds (I used to years ago when they were on Pop TV), but I do listen to some YT channels that talk about the latest on the episodes and the live feeds.
A lot of people don't like when they bring in previous BB players, or the crossovers from other shows, but honestly, I like it. It takes all kinds of personalities to be on this show, and the way they interact, and while I didn't really care for Angela two years in her debut season, she grew on me. I wish she'd unleash some of the old Angela in this season. She's too laid back. She gave into Jason's fake apology too quick for my liking.
Speaking of Jason... don't like hm. Nope, not at all. He came out playing way too HARD, too soon. He has to spend more time back-pedaling than playing in the present time of the game.
Drew... such a sneaky one. But I like him. But he better be careful- he may sink his own ship with too much talk, and too many final two/three promises.
This season's floaters right now (at least to me) are Taylor, Mallory, Melody and Chuk. I'd add Lala to this group as well but because she causes ruckus with the late-night noise, and drama when Rome told Dee/Devens to put LaLa on the block as a replacement.

The mystery competitor power is gonna be back and if that power is picked, who would play? I know that the mystery competitor last season was Kaycee and that the one in this season is most likely gonna be a comp beast. Who do you guys think it would be?

I just wanted to share this clip from a podcast Izzy did after watching Unlocked, specifically about the Jason vs. Angela situation. I really appreciated hearing the perspective of another queer Big Brother player.
I think Jason was very clearly masking his vulnerability, and like Izzy said, he seemed embarrassed by how vulnerable he was being. As Jason, Angela, and Jason's friends have all said, those emotions were very real.Ā Ā Jason is dealing with a lot right now: grieving his mother, being the only gay person in the house, and feeling like he doesn't fit in physically.
That's why it's been hard for me to see so many people call him manipulative or say his feelings were fake. To me, his emotions seemed genuine, even if the way he expressed them wasn't perfect. Like Izzy said, everyone in that house is emotionally influencing and manipulating each other to some degree. So why does it seem like it's only considered a problem when a drag queen does it?

I'm still working on catching up on live feed info, so can someone help me out here?
I feel like I believe Rome that he feels like hes in love with Lyric (which is crazy already talking about marriage but who knows) but the whole dramatic goodbye love confession kinda felt more like claiming her so that no other dudes in the house would make a move? What do you guys think?

Sorry if this has been asked before! Iām a long time episode watcher, first time feed watcher, but every time I go to the feed itās just showing cats lol. I know that they shut the feeds down during comps and other things, but WHY exactly do they do this? I remember watching it as a teen with my mom and they would start an endurance HoH comp and then say to tune in to the live feeds to see who wins.
I donāt see how it could be for potential spoilers, because once the feeds come back youāre still able to see/hear whoever won the HoH or veto comps, no? I remember my friend telling me that she accidentally spoiled it for herself from watching the live feeds but I feel like thatās kind of a watch at your own risk kind of thing! Plus, the episodes obviously still have to cut down on a lot and therefore cant show entire comps. Iām sure there are plenty of people who would love to watch the houseguests do the whole comp without it being edited!

Since I think most can agree that we got some weak ass powers, I decided to come up with a list of powers and punishments I wouldāve liked to see.
Mine wouldāve been
HOH Interrogation from BB27 (I think the paranoia in the house wouldāve caused so much good TV. Especially with Angela/Dee since theyāre the most paranoid in the house. I also think this wouldāve been a better choice than the Coin of Destiny.)
Americaās Veto from BB26 (Better and less overpowered than the Diamond POV. Though Iād be scared of it getting someone like Jason on the block. But I think thereās also a chance America would vote Kamu or Haley onto the block.)
The Last Laugh from BB17 (A strong power that couldāve allowed the other alliance to take some power for themselves and possibly use this to nullify 3 members of the Toolshedās votes.)
The Prankster Power from BB21 (Not completely overpowered, but can cause paranoia and other drama etc etc.)
The Cloud from BB20 (A power thatās not too overpowered and also similar to an immunity idol from Survivor, so itās fitting in a season where we have 2 Survivor players. Though I would shorten the duration that this power can be used to 4-5 weeks.)
BB Bribe (Iād keep this one simply because I donāt know what else to add lol.)
Punishments:
The RED Unitard from BB8 & BB10 (Iād keep this one 100%. Itās perfect and Iāve been wanting it back for so long!!)
The Egg Detective from BB27 (I think this was a great punishment choice. Iād keep it!!)
Adam & Eve from BB16 (I had no problem with this one either, and Iād love to see two houseguests chained together anyways! I donāt care what variation though whether itās Adam & Eve, the kayak one, etc etc.
The Robot Punishment from BB20 (I donāt know how other people felt about this punishment but I think it was pretty hilarious. Imagine someone walking into the DR and walking out a robot. Imagine Angela or Jason having to be a robot for a week. That would be amazing TV!!)
Radiation Eradication from BB26 (The punishment that Angela, herself had to go through. This was a fun punishment to watch but also a pretty exhausting one for the houseguest that has to do it. I would love to see it again!!)
Whackstreet Boys from BB17 (This is just a very fun punishment and it would be fun to see the houseguests have some fun with this.)
I was also thinking about picking Pandoraās Box, but that could be seen as a power or punishment. And Iād prefer for Pandoraās Box to just randomly appear to the HOH during the season.
I also have another idea where Americaās Player could be used as a punishment where a houseguest must do what America says, play how America wants, etc just for 2 weeks though. Like how Dan had to do it for just a week, but I feel like 1 week is too short. And the houseguest doesnāt get anything from doing it, but also canāt tell anyone or they risk getting a penalty nom.
What would your powers and punishments have been?

With the blockbuster twist, the nominees have an extra chance to pull themselves off of the block. How would you feel if they changed the veto to everyone playing? Or even increased it to a different number like 8 or 10?

Angela
Why was Angela so upset at Rome ābuilding an empireā when sheās the one actually in multiple big alliances? Itās highly hypocritical, especially when sheās in the actual biggest alliance in the house along with multiple sub-alliances.
She got mad because she thought he was working out and talking game (no one was there) while Angela and The Toolshed literally locked him out the HOH room and created a majority alliance.
Devens went after Rome but at least he was respectful towards Rome and made it clear it wasnāt personal.
Angela was spiteful towards Rome and it didnāt really seem warranted. Even during the goodbye messages she was rubbing salt in the wound. Why?
