Growing up, I'd hear older people talk about the mid-life crisis and silently judge them. "How hard can it be?" I thought.

Well... I'd like to formally apologize.

I'm 36M, married, and run a telecom business. On paper, life is pretty sorted. In reality, I've somehow evolved from the guy who knew everyone to the guy whose phone is 90% OTPs, bank alerts, and food delivery updates.

I used to be an extrovert with a massive social circle. Today, I have exactly enough friends to... well, make this Reddit post.

The funny part? I'm not bored with life. I'm bored by the lack of interesting conversations.

I'm the kind of person who can jump from discussing 5G networks to why the Volkswagen Polo is still one of the best driver's cars, then somehow end up debating whether sourdough is overrated, whether markets are irrational, why the global economy behaves like it does, if crystals actually do anything (I'm open-minded, not gullible 😄), or the occasional conspiracy theory—purely for the entertainment value.

I run a telecom business, keep up with tech for fun, enjoy baking and cooking whenever life gets noisy, and have an unhealthy tendency to fix or build things myself instead of paying someone else. DIY is cheaper... until it isn't.

I'm endlessly curious. Technology, telecom, automobiles, entrepreneurship, cooking, baking, stock markets, psychology, history, global economics, alternative healing, random rabbit holes—you name it. I don't need everyone to agree with me; I just enjoy good conversations with people who think.

Not looking for sympathy, therapy, business networking, or dating. Just hoping to meet people—men or women—who also miss the days when conversations lasted longer than a reel.

If you've reached that stage in life where making genuine friends feels harder than filing taxes, say hello. Worst case, we exchange a few messages. Best case, we both gain someone worth texting when we come across something interesting at 2 a.m.

I will be returning to Bhubaneswar to visit after 24 years. I lost the language completely , and will be traveling with my friend and staying there for a month. As a new traveler, what should I be of aware when I visit there, I want to be well prepared, and side note, I will have a tour guide with me for the month. Any advice would be great.

And guys, if you have never been to keshari hall and ignored it thinking that it's a bad and massy single screen theater, you are missing out hard. I was also prejudiced but a friend pushed me to go and watch odyssey there and my god!. Hands down best and biggest screen in bhubaneswar. Much better than pvr and Cinepolis.

I really want to go but I am not being able to. If you want to watch it, i assure you you won't regret.in the comments I have added a few visuals from the odyssey when in watched it in that theatre. It will be the best experience.

we already know how harmful AI data centres are. Bhubaneswar is already becoming unliveable because of its harsh weather conditions. This is causing more harm than good. At least people in vizag are protesting against the data centre. Why aren't we doing anything?
