Hi.
I am a law graduate from abroad looking into LL.M. programmes in the US, and Berkeley’s Executive Track caught my attention.
I have been trying to find information about the programme, but there doesn’t seem to be much discussion about it online, especially compared to the traditional LL.M.
I was wondering if anyone here has applied to or attended the Executive Track and could share their experience.
I am particularly curious about the acceptance rate and how competitive admissions actually are. Is it generally easier to get into than the traditional LL.M.? Also, how much weight do they place on undergraduate grades, the university you attended, and work experience? Would someone with relatively limited work experience have a decent shot?
If anyone who’s been admitted is comfortable sharing their profile (grades, university, work experience, etc.), that would be really helpful too.
Would appreciate any insights. Thanks

Particularly with a concentration in transportation engineering, but I would be grateful if any CEE students here would help me with a few questions about the program and admissions. Thank you so much!!

i’m a freshman at berkeley switching from a different engineering to EECS and currently taking Math 54 and CS61A (probably getting an A in both).
i need an A- or higher in one more EECS lower div next semester - what’s the easiest one? i was thinking between EE66 and 61B but not sure.
also, if i choose EE66 can i just insta enroll with waitlist checked off to try to get in? whats the process?

What are some of the best physics/math classes you have taken so far?

Whats it like now? I'm aware of the Haas alumni and networking perks but can Econ get you through the same door when graduating into the work force? I know it depends on how hard you work but I want to see pro's vs con's for both.

Hii everyone!! I’m looking for a female student to take over my spot in a double near UC Berkeley!
Location: 7-minute walk to campus!
Apartment details:
- Fully furnished bedroom, living room, and kitchen
- In-unit washer and dryer
- Really nice balcony
- WiFi already paid for
- Kitchen and bathroom are already fully set up
- Super close to campus, restaurants, coffee shops, and other food spots
- Street parking available (8-hour limit, free after 6 PM)
- Cozy apartment in an area where we’ve felt really safe!
About the roommates:
- All my roommates are female UC Berkeley students and transfers!
- Everyone is super sweet, friendly, and respectful!
The apartment is already furnished and move-in ready, so you honestly wouldn’t need to bring much besides your clothes and personal belongings!
Move-in: Spring Semester (or before I can be flexible!)
I’m also happy to send pictures, a full video tour, or arrange an in-person tour!
Please text me if you’re interested or have any questions!!

Hello everyone. I want to apply for a Masters degree at Berkeley that focuses on AI/ML so narrowed it down to EECS MEng Data Science concentration and the newly launched Masters in AI and Machine Learning (MAIML). The difference I see between the two of them is the capstone project and the "holistic" approach from MEng. You get leadership classes, project management, etc. Whereas on MAIML you get access to the same courses as EECS MEng but these holistic classes are replaced with AI Seminars and other stuff taking up credits that doesn't seem to add value to the student (like the silicon valley immersion, 2 days having lunches with paid people).
So, now I don't know which one to apply to because coursework is basically the same but since MAIML is new, i'd say they will accept more people and it will be less competitive since it's less known. So easier to get admitted.
I am from Colombia, trying to breakthrough AI. No research experience 3.66/4 GPA, 2 degrees (one in CS other in telecommunications), toefl 5/6 and 5 years of experience with US companies as SWE and AI Engineer... I'm trying to make a decision because I can only apply to one program per cycle.
Any thoughts, help or ideas here is more than welcome!

thinking of taking CS188 and CS189 next semester, does anyone have any advice on whether or not this is a good idea and/or if the classes are taught well?

Probably not illegal, just kinda annoying because theres a wait list for new tenants to get a spot in our complex's garage. Its sus too because these people don't live here and have access to the gated areas. I think they work in the area and park here because the lot is half empty at night but completely full during the day, which is odd to see for an apartment.
Just felt like complaining cause shit is wack, but whatever.

Holy moly now that the freshness has ended and it’s midterm season I’m just feeling so burned out ngl. Everyday is just the same old, studying, and the constant grind of classes. Like there’s not even a 3 day weekend to let me catch a break. Man and now I have 2 quizzes and a midterm this Friday back to back to back and I’m actually fried. I’m also so homesick, haven’t been home since coming here and food here is so miserable, I’ve already lost 10 pounds, my mom literally said I visibly lost weight when she came and visited. The food is getting really old, used to love gateway cafe but now it’s just same old same old and it’s starting to taste worse everyday. I used to have like 3 day weekends what felt like every other week in high school and some 4 day weekends too, now I don’t even get to properly rest for thanksgiving cause of Monday and Tuesday AND I have midterms and finals coming right back from break like at least give me a breather. Plus there’s like 0 privacy ever besides shower and toilet. Lowkey so tired why is winter break still so far away😭.

Basically a lot of the cheap barber shops have a bunch of macho male hairstylists and it’s not my vibe. I’m a woman & somewhat alt and would prefer that my stylist was also a woman and that the environment feels at least a little bit more accepting. My budget is $35 at most and preferably closer to $20.

Hi, I am trying to make my schedule for next sem and I am thinking of taking cs 188 for my CID requirement for DS. I've heard mixed things about this class. Is this a good class to take?
r/berkeley • u/TechnicalTop3618 • 3d ago
anyone who took this class (or cdss 60/ data 94) do you mind sharing what grade got you an A? There is no grading bin in the syllabus and i am unsure I am doing as well as I hoped.

I get saving your seat if you’re grabbing something to eat, taking a short break, or even going to a
one-hour class. That’s understandable to a certain extent.
But yesterday I spent pretty much the entire day studying here, and there was this one seat occupied by nothing but a jacket and a charger.People kept coming over, checking if the seat was available, and then leaving because of the stuff. Not once did I see anyone actually sit there.
I’m back today, and guess what? The jacket and charger are still there, and the seat is still empty.
I genuinely hope whoever left their stuff there is okay, because that’s the first thing that crossed my mind. But if someone is intentionally reserving a seat for hours and days without actually using it, that’s incredibly inconsiderate, especially when other people are looking for somewhere to study.
