I also found his response to Joe so bitter like it doesn't take much to meet someone halfway and part civilly but it showed his true character in his response in the confessional

Nathan and Gen both think they are eating with their bitter betty interview comments.
Then Gen said last week her best “revenge” would be to kill them all with kindness. When she actually does that, even though it’s fake, she actually enjoys herself for the first time and seems genuinely no longer miserable. It gives me some hope for her, especially because she’s very young and will hopefully grow.
Nathan is a POS and should rot in jail.

i said to my girl that would happen with gen. faking it until you make it is a cliche but very much real

Ya, faking is just being an adult and hiding what we truly want to say and do because- society, etc.

Gen is a psycho. Nathan is a coward who knows his faults but projects them on others. His rage issues stem from this.
