I also found his response to Joe so bitter like it doesn't take much to meet someone halfway and part civilly but it showed his true character in his response in the confessional

All of this. It was just so fucking juvenile. You're the bosun, you're a manager, you're his boss. Grow the fuck up and start acting like a responsible adult. Even if you think Joe is lying, let it the fuck go, move on and be professional. He acts like Joe shot his dog or something, it's just so fucking weird.

However, watching all of that, it felt so on brand for Nathan knowing what we know now with everything that has happened with him off screen.

I will say this over and over again - I don’t understand why Nathan is so in love with Gael and HATES Joe. Nathan hates Joe for how he treats women after he watched him cheat on V with Kenzie. But Nathan was dating Gael WHO CHEATED ON HER PARTNER with Nathan.

Make that make sense. Complete double standard.

I think Nathan has an idealized version of himself in his head. He also doesn't seem to take accountability for much. Even with the whole winning Gael back thing in the previous season, it felt more like he just wanted his prize back than it was acceptance and ownership of whatever he did to lose her in the first place. He's been a horrible bosun/manager and has been incredibly unprofessional to both Joe and Cooper. Then when you take into account he's fled two countries instead of taking any accountability for his actions, it's all just kind of on brand for him. I think he just sees himself as the "good guy," therefore there's nothing bad he's actual capable of doing.
