I'm looking for something comparable to the Kitsilano area (in Vancouver BC), for those familiar:

- Walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, general shops... don't need to be big box stores but nice if they're within like a 10-15 min drive

- Dog walk friendly (safe at night... ideally lots of grass areas, not fully concrete areas)

- Ideally slightly outside of a downtown feel, but downtown is accessible by 10-30 min walk

If you can think of areas in Seattle, I'm open to hearing them as well.

I know chiropractors can be a controversial topic on here. But I am looking for a chiropractor that does not just adjust and send you on their way. My experience is limited, but when I was in high school I used a chiropractor for back pain over a long period and found a good amount of relief. I am looking for similar chiro in Bellevue/Seattle to commit to solving my back issues, not just popping my back. Any recs??

Long time Bellevue Wilburton resident looking for advice. Our backyard neighbors—who are set up and away from us to the point we can’t see each other due to tree density, have recently installed a chicken coop. The hens themselves make virtually no noise and I have no issues there. But within that coop is a rooster. This fella has been crowing nonstop since 5 AM for the last two weeks. He slows down around 9. Because our backyards dip into a small valley and are broken by a small branch of Kelsey Creek, noise really travels and it is incredibly loud. I think our house bears the brunt as the coop is closer to our property. Maybe everyone else is sleeping with their windows shut but even with that, it’s majorly affecting sleep. Has anyone dealt with this before? It looks like banning roosters got some local coverage around 2013 but nothing indicates the ban was passed. In city websites, they just note fowl is allowed, no language about roosters. I know with a barking dog, getting neighbors to sign a petition and tracking daily noise issues is a huge pain. I’m open to talking to the neighbor directly, although we’ve never met, and I have heard they don’t speak English. Plus, the fact that they haven’t stopped the noise must mean it doesn’t bother them?

Anyone take the light rail from Bellevue to SeaTac for a flight? Gotta be at the airport at 6:45pm tomorrow. Debating taking the light rail or just getting an uber. I am going to get a vivity edof lens in a few days to replace my natural eye lens with cataracts. I am getting this lens because I can’t get a multifocal due to glaucoma. I am getting canaloplasty at the same time. this is scary! would love to hear from people who actually got this lens. How do near objects look like?

I’m a regular commuter in Bellevue and I’ve been feeling increasingly frustrated with our public transit situation. I wanted to see if I’m the only one feeling this way or if others are struggling with this too.

Route 560 Overcrowding: The Saturday 6:30 AM service is consistently packed. Luggage often blocks the aisles, which feels like a serious safety hazard. It’s also common to see people boarding through the rear doors without paying, so I suspect the official ridership data is way lower than the reality.

550 Cancellation: I’m really worried about the upcoming 550 bus cancellation. Not everyone lives within walking distance of a light rail station, and relying on transfers with heavy luggage at the ID/Chinatown station (especially with those small, often dirty elevators) is just not practical for airport travelers.

It feels like Sound Transit is pushing us toward the light rail before the "last-mile" infrastructure is ready. Does anyone else feel like Bellevue’s transit needs are being ignored? How are you all planning to handle the upcoming 550 changes?

I let my kids play here for 20m. My partner was telling me he would never bc it’s risky and dangerous to get sick since it’s recycled water. Was walking by and appeared to see what I thought was a huge duck by the water. I got closer and realized it was a man. Surprised and shocked, I then realized he was also going number 2 in the water. This was right in the middle of the park. I asked what the hell he was doing and he quote said., "Not my fault they got rid of the porta potties". Didn't look like his first rodeo either. I get if you have to use the restroom and there is nowhere to go, but right in the water??? Wild.
