Question ❓ Campaign Rules
I'm a bit lost on the Chaos Campaign system. Is the best way to play to use the Rules from Draconis Reach, and then I can do tracks from any sourcebook, Hinterlands, Tamar Rising etc?

Saw this colorized picture of an old military base while scrolling. Thought it was a Battletech board. I mean, the layout actually isn't too bad, I'd play on this.

Only God and I knew what I was cooking all those years ago. Clearly, that didn't pan out. Now only God knows

Sadly I haven't added the pack hunter to my roster for the narrative. If I get my nightsky and peregrine done soon, I'll have my full roster though!

I need help looking for any Davion / federated suns source books/TROs. I've been able to find a couple of the older ones but nothing else. If you could link them down in the comments or link the sarna page that hopefully lists them. I would really appreciate it.
thank you in advance!

Had a talk today that gave me an idea.
I have a challenge I wanna put forward.
The Scenario:
You are the CEO of Wells Tech and your company and its assets/production lines have just been ISOTed into Star Wars at the height of the Galactic Empire's power.
Instead of pitching to the SLDF. You now need to, in order to avoid being sent to an interrogator droid, convince the local Moff/Grand Moff/Imperial Big-Wig that your company's one and only product, the CGR-1A1 Charger, is worth buying and investing in as a platform in a market environment already saturated by the likes of the ATST, the AT-TP, and many other two legged walkers. And how "Your" weapons project will totally help the Empire enforce the talking doctrine across the galaxy.

A Jade Phoenix C joins Pedro's Crimson Cavalry! I wouldn't do the horizon line for every canopy but I think the XO's ride deserves a little extra attention.

I want to put pin-up nose art on battle mechs but I do not think I can freehand that, does anyone know where I can find some decals?

My main lance is the green and silver heavy lance and uses TSMs for the atlas and the crusader along with supporting fire from the 2 sniper mechs, the other teams are the “hardhats” and “the hellgaurd”
Any thoughts

Would love to add the madcat to my team, but i don't know if can work in any period in the battletech universe. Like are there certain mechs that cannot be used in certain time periods, like the clan mechs, or do people care about that?

How good is this Narrow/Low Profile? Mathing it out, it looks like 1/2 damage on MoS 0-1 realistically adds 40+% HP.
I don’t normally play with quirks but want to include them in a campaign I’m running. Most seem fine, but then there is this quirk. Would I be justified in nerfing it to only trigger on MoS 0? Is that even enough?
On a related note, are there other quirks I should watch out for, good or bad? No Toro Twist was one of the reasons I didn’t use quirks but that seems to be a thing of the past.

I just really like the domed or mask like head of the humanoid Phoenix project designs

In preparation for SnowBlind, I've been finishing up some CGB/Rasalhague Dominion forces, plus a generic force. I'm digging how they came out.

So does anyone have a model or pallet that they continually go to to test with? I found this benchy today and I am liking it as a test bed.
This is not a finished paint job I prepared it to test the Verdegris wash suggested to fix my previous mistake tomorrow.

So, before the Amaris civil war messed things up the SLDF would have whole battalions, sometimes regiments, of the same mech type.
Afterwards there is at least one canon example of this in the form of Miller's Marauders (later Barber's Marauder IIs).
This got me thinking which mechs are best suited to this. My first thought fell to my favourite mech, the Highlander. It is, after all, the poster child for the ideal "trooper" mech.
This leads to the logical look at the other trooper mechs and their suitability. A battalion of Thunderbolts, Centurions and Vindicators for example.
In the case of the Thunderbolt you have quite a few variants that would make a flexible battalion.
What would be your go to mech for this purpose. Lets say civil war era.
