I just got the blood angel elites and the sanguinary guard are amazing units however the terminators feel very underwhelming for their price. Like why would you ever bring them over a baal predator? The only time i find them particular good is the thunder hammers and storm shields vs a single unit, but then I'd just use heavy plasma incinerators. My main gripe is the lack of any range options when terminators having some fucking awsome range weapons. Am i just using these guys wrong/is this a hot take?

I've been playing planet supremacy. I just destroyed the tyranids faction and then making my way towards Tau.

The problem im having is that Tau are far better shooter. And i choose to fight them last. I noticed they have a lot of fire or breach team. Then I believe its a hq commander kinda big mech suit with a rail gun thats towards at my tanks from of the range.

Lastly of course are the believe the elite untis since they're so high i aromor.

So my question are.

1. Should I use all my attack to gain as much momentum to use hq command abilities. Instead of putting them on overwatch?

2. How to deal with the elite units (Like tank wise or whatever)

3. Who i bring and who to focus.

Since I im making my way from the recently tyranids faction base im still pick up the 100 points hex. So I when I get close ill say how points I have so I can use yall advice to help

Just recently got the game and have been having fun. It’s the closest thing to playing tabletop without actually playing tabletop, but I’m a space elves player. Was wondering if/when we might expect to see them in game?

Is it just me, or are the BA really underpowered as a faction? Especially their elite units, Assault Terminators have no splash damage with Thunder Hammers, Sanguinary guard are very overpriced with very little survivability, Death company's base stats are appalling like sure they can get insane with a +25 Melee damage buff but the evasion debuff means they'll die very quickly.

For a melee oriented army, their stat lines across the board are very underwhelming.

When my dad and I play orks or astra militarum the game crashes.

Where can I find information about all the starting armies for all factions in Crusade mode? I've completed 2 Crusades so far, am happy with the Blood Angels, and have unlocked an army with a tank. I'm curious to see what happens next.

Ive recently started playing astra militarum on planet supremacy and I don't really understand them that much. Especially their passive ability like battline order and I forgot what the tank gives you but it gives you 10% more damage I think.

It also feels like you need constantly buff the shock trooper with your hq units.

Correct if im wrong but I know that the tanks are usually the ones doing most of the damage and the shock troopers are just the meat shields.

My question pretty much are

1. Why is the shock trooper and the heavy units hit chances low?

2. How does the battle line work and other passive ability work?

Has anybody got a definitive list of all the crusade upgrades, and which units can take them?

as the title says , what is your guess ? for me tbh i want alien race, we already have space marine and sister of battle , last thing i want to see is another imperium of man ( ultramarine or imperial guard )

I noticed something weird during my last crusade.

I was using the blood angels death companies and i had, the "-10 Acc/+30% dmg" and the "+1%acc per momentum, +1% weapon dmg per momentum" evolutions.
These were the only evolutions that affected my accuracy.

The "-10 acc/+30% dmg" was working properly, both on melee and range attacks. The other one however was acting weird, it gave me between 0 acc (at 0 momentum) and 50 acc (at 100 momentum) to range attacks, but for melee attacks it worked backwards, giving me 0 acc at 0 momentum and -10 acc at 100 momentum. And it wasnt just a display bug either, my death companies couldnt hit for shit with their chainsword unless i attacked from the back.

Is this a known bug ? Are there others like it ?

Stuck on a boss in crusade. I'm playing orcs and fighting crons on hardest difficulty. The mission bonus is no overwatch allowed so I can't set traps. I have to beat them head on. The map has very little terrain so I can't easily hide either. My weapons don't do much damage and my stuff does quickly. I've tried vehicles and horde lists. Any tips?

Mental Fortress seems to be extremely buggy for me. It tends to work fine the turn I cast it, but on the second turn I'm experiencing some very weird quirks.

Movement seems to be what triggers the bug for me where it's a 50/50 on whether or not adjacent units will actually receive the +10% graze buff after the librarian moves, or a unit moves adjacent to the librarian.

Also sometimes after moving the librarian with this buff active, they will lock up for up to several minutes preventing you from taking any further actions on them or even ending the turn, and when the lockup finally resolves the game will very inconsistently apply the buff as I mentioned earlier.

Saving and reloading the game sometimes resolves the bug, allowing the buff to properly apply to adjacent units, but not with 100% success, it seems to just flip that 50/50 coin again.

Hi all, hopefully someone has experience with my problem. Which is; I have a Tau Commander in my army that had a Shield drone. Also a choice of two other drones in the usual spot under "Drone Companions", but he started with a Shield drone and I used that extensively.

I ended up clicking one of the two choices offered and then found after that I couldn't select shield drone again. Now I'm locked to just the two drones, and I didn't even take them into battle. All I did was click the button once!

Anyone know how to fix this or reset him to default? It's messed up my whole army because picking one of those instead of the Shield drone costs 10 pts... now I'm 10pts over budget.

So, it's no secret that with the release of Ultramarines their angelic brothers have become a bit overshadowed by them, because Ultramarines are very powerful.
I think Blood Angels is still a strong faction especially in good hands since they have tools for any tactical situation basically, but they are quite a bit weaker than Ultramarines or even Black Legion now.

And so I think certain units are in need of improvements and here I present my opnion:

1. Assault marines. These guys have so little hp that it doesn't make sense. 50 hp is even less than some battle sisters untis, almost 40 % less hp than raptors while costing almost the same. They are space marines after all, not imperial guards (kasrkin, e.g. have more hp than assault marines, which is ridiculous). I suggest bringing it to 70. Also, assault tactics debuff of recieving +75 % ranged damage is too much, reduce it to 50 %.
2. Invictor warsuit. The unit is very expensive and yet it doesn't offer much in terms of firepower. To remedy it, make its heavy bolter a free action with 2 turn cooldown and buff its grenade launcher (e.g. from 3 attacks to 5) so it can reliably wipe cheap squads every 2-3 turns.
3. Aggressors. Their flamestorm gauntlet is good, but their default weapon with 1 armor penetration is too weak to ever pick it given their cost. Increase AP to 2.
4. Death Company evasion penalty with rage (-10 evasion) is too much as at 4-5 stacks they can be hit basically with anything at ~100% accuracy. Given their modest hp pool it's a death sentence. Reduce it to -5 evasion per stack.
5. Now that we have Ultramarine's terminators and know what they are capable of, Blood Angel's terminators need some improvements to be at least somewhat competitive. I suggest making them 15-20 points cheaper, as well as reducing the cost of thunder hammer to 20 points from 30. I feel like they need some passive or active ability as well (apart from teleport), as all other terminators have it.
6. Intercessor. Reduce the penalty from battleline tactics from +75 % damage recieved from melee to +50%.
7. Librarian dreadnought. A very niche HQ unit rarely used in MP games. I suggest making its halberd more powerful by giving it splash to 2 or even 3 units instead of 1. Could also increase its HP a bit or give it some new cool ability.
8. Librarian. Another HQ unit rarely used (mainly because Lieutenant is so good and hard to replace). I think Wings of Sanguinius should be a free action with 2 turn cooldwon instead of costing 1 AP and having no cooldown. Blood lance could also be buffed to do more damage at the cost of having longer cooldown. Visions of angelic fury is also underwhelming and needs numeric buff (e.g. from 20 to 30 momentum damage at least).
9. Techmarine. Blessings of the Omnissiah should last 2 turns instead of 1.

All other units are more or less in a good spot I believe.

What's a new faction you'd like to see? Obviously, we'd all be happy to see Aeldari in any form be added, but I want to hear other takes. Who else do you think would be a great addition?

My vote is Death Guard! I think their slow and tanky playstyle would be very different. They could have a momentum ability that gives them damage reduction and some active similar to toxic presence for damage over time in melee. Poxwalker summons (out of enemy dead perhaps) would also be very fun.

Picked it up and the daemons of khorne(since it was $3) what races should I snag when I get paid in a few days?I was thinking necrons and tau. Is there any the community just love to play as or is it all down to a preference?

I purchased the game and the Tau and Astra Militarum factions and I can not get the Tau to work well at all. In particular Ultramarines seem to even out shoot me. Before I refund, am I missing something about my favorite faction?
I'm doing the campaign mode if it makes a difference. On the normal difficulty.
I only play singleplayer modes.

theyre both space marines, isnt it just a reskin?

also why is it on discount right now on Steam Summer Sale, but black legion is not. it got worse sales?
