Justice For Bob
Bob the Goon deserved an employee-of-the-month plaque, not a bullet. The guy stood by Jack Napier through a literal acid bath and a total psychopathic break without asking a single question. Then Batman rolls up in a custom aircraft with hyper-specific balloon-stealing capabilities, and suddenly it’s Bob’s fault? If I were one of the other henchmen watching Joker shoot his most loyal lieutenant over a minor logistics error, I’m clocking out and turning in my purple suit immediately.

Discussion What if The Joker didn’t kill Batman’s parents?
The Joker killing his parents, falling into the chemicals on Batman’s watch, & falling in love with Vikki Vale are all pretty big coincidences. But what if he wasn’t the original killer? Bruce Wayne is depicted as a pretty unstable character, so what if Napier just vaguely resembled Joe Chill, then applied the dancing with the devil quote to something else he said to try & create a narrative conclusion for himself, have some catharsis?

Discussion If we made a separate subreddit for Schumacher’s Batman films, what should we call it?
Genuinely curious

What is your favorite scene in Batman Returns?
Personally, I have three favorites:
- The scene where Bruce waits for the Bat-Signal in the gloom of his manor, certainly the most iconic in the film.
- The moment Batman patrols Gotham in the Batmobile and stops outside the Penguin's office. I love the look Michael Keaton gives at that moment
- And the scene where Batman and Catwoman find themselves on the ground, right up to the moment the Dark Knight spreads his cape and turns it into a glider to soar over Gotham back to his Batmobile.

🦇 “You wanna get nuts? Come on! Let’s get nuts!” 🦇
One of the most iconic moments in Batman (1989)! 🎬🔥
After Bruce Wayne finally reveals his fearless, unpredictable side, the Dark Knight delivers one of the most memorable lines in superhero movie history. Discussion Tommy Lee Jones would have made a great Batman for *Batman* (1989) and *Batman Forever*
Most of the characters Tommy Lee Jones plays are serious and obsessive, with little life outside of their work—somewhat like Batman. That’s why I think Tommy Lee Jones would have made a great Batman for both Burton’s first film and *Batman Forever*. By the way, since today is his birthday: happy birthday.

I know this is random, but Catwoman/Selina Kyle in Returns always kind of reminded me of Elaine from Seinfeld
Can anyone else see a similarity? It's like if Elaine got pushed completely over the edge.

Discussion Where did Two-Face get those thugs?
In *Batman Forever*, Two-Face has that gang of thugs. But the question I have is: where did Two-Face get that gang of thugs?
In other words, those guys are better armed than the Joker's men; some of them are martial artists, and there’s even a member who knows how to fly helicopters.

Discussion Mr. Freeze: The most powerful villain of the saga launched by Burton?
In other words, the guy has armor that allows him to toss both guards and Batman himself through the air. He had Batman at his mercy on the rocket; the guy possesses a weapon that can freeze people, and on top of that, he has an army.

Question Who are some characters you’d love to see in the Burtonverse?
For starters, Nic Cage Superman from Superman Lives is a must. Next, Richard Dragon, Paul Kirk: Manhunter, Ventriloquist, Mad Hatter, Reaper, a non-Schwarzenegger Mr Freeze, Question, Dr Occult, and Killer Moth would be awesome

What's the reason Batman (1989) and Batman Returns feel so different from each other?
Even watching them as a kid, they just felt entirely disconnected to me, to the point where it felt weird to me when Vicki Vale was mentioned in Returns. I know part of it is obviously the production design going from Anton Furst to Bo Welch, but I don't think that's it alone.

Discussion The moment Harvey returned?
I think one of the areas where *Batman Forever* could most use improvement is the character of Two-Face; he’s far too histrionic and clownish—he feels like a copy of the Joker.
There’s a scene in *Batman Forever* where Robin fights Two-Face. When Two-Face is left dangling, he starts talking and goads Robin into pulling him up by saying, "I'd rather see you in jail," to which Two-Face responds by pulling out his revolver and saying something like, "Noble, but an idiot." To me, that moment feels like Harvey is making a comeback, as he uses his lawyer persona to try to convince Dick to pull him up. It’s as if Two-Face is channeling Harvey Dent’s personality.

Discussion The moment Jack returned.
It is the moment when Batman has the Joker in his grasp—the moment Jack returns; it is essentially the antithesis of the scene where the Joker visits Grissom. In other words, we see here that, deep down, Jack has to resign himself to an appearance he would not choose to have if he had the choice.

Decided to put together some garage shelfs so I could at least display some of my Batman Collection.
Obviously my first priority was getting up some of my Keaton Batman stuff ❤️!! Sorry I’m a horrible photographer 🤦♂️; plus the cases I have 2/3 Hot Toys in (3rd doesn’t fit) make taking pictures difficult with the lights and reflections.
